Better Enemies [CLOSED]

Do you think that they should make better enemies than the ones they've made already? The ones they make are based off animals. They should make like new creatures or something.... I think... Just my opinion.

I'm assuming you're talking about the Legend of seires?

S'more enemies like in the first Spyro would be cool. Seeing a new Legend of version of some of the Gnorcs would be kickin' ass.

Especially the Treetops Gnorcs, or those giant dog things from Dark Passage.

I just prefer the enemies from the first three games, they are easy to beat, just one hit and you can get them out of your way, nice and simple, TLOS enemies are so annoying and frustrating.

What was so challenging about the enemies in the TLOS series? LOL They were just plain stupid and boring to defeat. It also slowed down the game's pace, especially towards the end.

yeah, you just button mash and you beat them, there's no real strategy or challenge,I just found them annoying. But yeh...thats my opinion.

Wow, that's such a challenge, just button smashing, in the original Spyro games, you had to think about how you were going to kill certain enemies, now that is a challenge. Well not a complete challenge, but there was a variety of enemies to attack, and they had different attacks too depending on which type of enemy it was, they were much more interesting, whereas these TLOS enemies just jump onto you and just throw lts of attacks and stuns leaving you very little chance of defending yourself very well.

I don't remember having to think about killing Classic Spyro enemies. Most of the time I just charged 'em or flamed 'em. As for TLoS, I never button mashed. I came up with effective strategies for dispatching enemies either quickly or easily. But that's just me! :3

Although, I would love more dragon enemies or something!

I was thinking more of the enemies that fire projectiles at you, sometimes you have to work out when to dodge them and when to attack. What are effective strategies for killing enemies in the TLOS series, there isn't any. LOL

I would rather it be evil dragons that you have to fight instead of random enemies like in both TLOS and the Original series.
sonicbrawler182 Platinum Sparx Gems: 7105
#15 Posted: 14:42:36 05/12/2010
Not really, I just snake charge 'em and possibly flame 'em right at the end of my charge! And trust me, there are a TON of strategies in TLoS, if you try. It's only a button masher if you play it like a button masher. I know this as I play many fighting games that are easy to use but hard to master.

They could have some evil dragon tribe who have the power to spawn random dragon pawns and possibly some other creatures. Then the bosses could be real dragons.

I didn't say that classic Spyro enemies took some special strategy or alot of time to think about, they were standard platforming game baddies :3
you needed to know how to recognize if they have metal armor on them or something else, that will require a different approach...
tho I personally found them alot more imaginative smilieand memorable(thieves, elephant snails, etc etc)

but yeh dragon enemies would be pretty interesting to see :0

There will be adult rated drawings of whatever new characters appear, male or female, ugly or attractive. Saying another villainess is a bad idea just because a few people will perv over her is quite unrealistic.

What kind of strategies? The way I see it most attacks are powered by one button. Press it three times to knock your enemy up, then jump, press it three more times, and then use one of the top buttons to kick them away. You can also intersperse elements here and there, and use furies when you get the power built up. Also, it seems to me liek all your melee attacks do the same amount of damage, same with your different elements, so it really doesn't matter which attack or breath you use half the time.

One amazing trick I found in TEN is this:
You know that move where Spyro sends enemies flying back in slow motion? Well, it turns out you can switch between and use elements as if time was not slow. In other words, you can essentially use 4 attacks at once!

Also, different elements are more effective against certain enemies. For example, the ghost enemies on Skabb's Ship can be killed instantly using an Ice Attack. Any other attacks takes a bit of time to kill them, even the Dark element attacks.

Ghost enemies?

Also, I already knew you could use elementsa s they fly back, and you can inflict the same damage with four elements as you can with consistently using one element.

Really?? Huh, I'll have to try that.
I tended to skip through the ship levels, and not take my time with the enemies. Haha, I'd often be too scared to go in certain rooms of the ships in fear that one would pop out. There was always one that I knew was there, but nonetheless it scared the crap out of me every time. I don't know why.. smilie
