What do you think the art style of the next Spyro game, Spyro's Kingdom, will be like? Will it have a cartoonish feel, a majestic feel like EL did, or will it be like a mixture of both?

Well, it might be a bit more in the style of that Spyro movie poster.
(That would be kinda cool.) But, we're not sure yet, I don't think it will be 2D or cartoonish or some thing like that. Is it a Los game? Or is it classic?

I can't say what I think it will be, but I can say what I would like it to be.

Not a clue... If it's Wii exclusive, it might be cartoony, Wii exclusive titles tend to be that way.

But still, we have nothing to go on, so who knows?

It's fun to speculate though.

I want it to be in the middle of Krome and EL. Then most people would be happy.

If they done what their doing with Zelda, it would be cool.

Yeah, the art style mixed between Twilight Princess and Wind Waker in Skyward Sword.

For Cynder they should do a larger and slightly skinnier body of Krome krome face with DOTD horns, and DOTD wings so she can fly. Oh yes, no iron jewelry (can't spell ) instead a silver necklace with a light blue crystal ^.^ And the body colour black with pinky-red tummy and wings.

I personally think Cynder was fine in DotD, but Spyro's design could be improved.

Anyone have an impression on what it may look like?

I think they should make Cynder's waist thicker and her chest smaller, and also enlarge both their ankles and make the membranes of thier wings actually touch their backs.

I also think Spyro's horns should be edited so that the tips point forward when he charges. He also needs a tail weapon that doesn't look like a harmless leaf. Maybe an arrowhead, maybe the pointed cone of old, IDK. As for his crest, I liked the mohawk-like crest he used to have, but if the kept his current crest, but connected the membranes to get rid of the segments, that'd be cool too. Fianlly, I have a problem with his snout.

I dunno, the ridges on the top jaw and the way the tip sort of bounced around in game when he moved his head and spoke just made his head look...gross.

I hope the style stays similar to dotd, I have a feeling they will stick with the los world since it was intended to create a new world, the name Spyro The Legend Spyros Kingdom seems to imply that too, though who knows where they got their information.

I just want to fly still.

I want everything to stay the same on Cynder, with only subtle changes. For Spyro, maybe make him a bit bigger and make his chest smaller.

If they keep the exact same design, I won't mind.

I'd want something like both but a bit more majestic.

I sort of liked the graphics in Dawn of the Dragon, however, maybe a little more high definition. My game gets...well I wouldn't necessarily say it gets "stuck" all the time, however, it just gets "messed up" or something. It's hard to explain. So I don't know what it will be like, but I HOPE it's majestic plus higher definition.

Honestly, I hope it's something we haven't seen before. Given the amount of time this game has been in the works, it's not impossible that it's all been re-designed again. I'm hoping for something more whimsical, since purple dragons and all just work better for me when they're not trying so hard to be serious.

Honestly, I hope spyro can be well, spyro again? not to offend anyone who liked his current design but I liked spyro as a small purple dragon maybe a design like something inbetween the original spyro games and the Krome art designs. ya know that tiny magical purple dragon thing? thats cool in my opinion

As long as it's not grey and muddy looking like a lot of todays games, I will be OK!

I liked the Dawn of the Dragon style, personally, with a few improvements. I noticed TLoS Spyro seemed to be more based off of the Original Spyro concept art, than based off of the actual Spyro in the games.


That picture is early concept art of Spyro, and you have to admit, ANB and TEN Spyro looks just like that, except for certain details. Just like in that image, he's short and chunky, with similar looking feet, big eyes, and the same rigid snout. I think TLoS Spyro was based off of him a lot. And in DotD, they just changed that to make him look more mature looking with less stumpy legs and a skinnier body.
In the next game, I'd like them to keep the DotD style at least a little, and just fix Spyro's snout and face. I wasn't really.. fond of his snout. And for Cynder, I'd like it if they kept her original colors- black and red. I loved those colors. And keep her DotD form. I didn't see too much wrong with it (I honestly found her ANB form to be more "suggestive", if at all). If they just made her chest smaller and her tummy fatter it would be great in my opinion.
So altogether, I'd like a more majestic feel, like EL, but I'd just like the characters to be a bit more plump like they were in ANB and TEN.

I don't no if I could get used to Teen Cynder having a small chest and big tummy.

A little off topic but I noticed something about Cynder's name:
We all know how she was evil in ANB, right? And how she was looked down upon for her past misdeeds.
Well, if you take away the d, you get "Cyner", pronounced "sinner"! Pretty cool, huh?

I wasn't meaning that Cynder had to have a little chest and a real big tummy, what I meant was, I think her weight should be more evenly distributed. I really like the Cynder design you posted above.
This comic made by ShaloneSK really demonstrates how I wish Cynder would look. It's like, spot on. It's just like Cynder's DotD design, but she's black and red, with a smaller chest. I love this design.

If you look through all three pages of the comic you'll get a better idea of what that design looks like. Now that I think about it, I love how she illustrated Spyro as well. She did a great job.

She seems pretty similar in that comic, just different face and colour. I don't mind what colour scheme she has, both of them look awesome, IMO.

You can still put the picture in the link, sonicbrawler, so people can still go and see it. It might attract unnecessary attention..

Cynder doesn't look that skinny there.

The site has adult pictures, but not all of them are. The pic I posted is a safe one, but the site isn't.

The art style could be vibrant, or it could have a style similar to EL's.

Yeah, I like that picture. Her chest wasn't as large as in the game, and she was a little chubbier. The only problem I have is the face, but then again it's just the concept art.

I think the one I posted would be good if the game was a cartoony, slightly anime style. She's not really skinny either.

Ehh, the only thing slightly suggestive in sonicbrawler's picture is the pose, but the design itself is good, I think.

But not to colorful like the last ones! Personally, I want it to be dark themed.

Well, some of the levels could be dark, and some could be more colorful, so it's not over-loaded with darkness, or over-loaded with bright colors. That way it could have a mixture and be more evened out.

Light-hearted, cartoonish art style.

Majestic, realistic art style.

Or mixed art style.

Not really. I've seen plenty of dogs and cats resting in similar positions, including my own dog.
