i discovered it bcuz of my brother...he was playing riptos rage and he wanted me to play it so then i fell in love with the game.i used to play it all the time then i finaly got my own PS2 then i got year of the dragon and so on...and i still remebr were i first played spyro in riptos rage haha,,so yeah and i still love the game,it is and always will be my favorie game series ever

When I was about 8, I got Spyro Enter the Dragonfly for christmas.

I got Gateway to Glimmer as a present on my 8th birthday.

I saw the first game in Blockbuster, shortly after its release. Rented it, and fell in love with it!

my dad acctully found out about it though my grandpa (he died in 07 ) but anyways he gave YotD to him (yeah i was born then) my dad and uncle started play he said to my uncle when they were playing seashell shore my uncle "youre going to get hooked on this you know that right" then my dad said "no im not and he did he completed it 100% (with my moms help ) (he didnt know there was bouns world) then he played RR then up to AHT but before AHT come i got hooked on the little purple dude then my bro played ANB and he got hooked and thats how i got hooked

Gosh..it has been so long. But I would have to say I was around the age of 7 or 8 when I played the first game-STD.

Here's how: My grandad's girlfriend died, and she gave me a ps1. I didn't have any games for it, so for my birthday (i think my 4th), a friend gave me three games: Spiderman, Shrek, and Spyro 1!

I loved dragons, so I immediatly started playing it. I found out that there were sequels, and slowly over time I became a huge Spyro fan. I'm soooo happy I discovered Spyro!

so am i without spyro my life would be a gaint hole in my live

We bought the first game, when I was like 2 (my brothers and sisters played it) and I got obsessed. Have been ever since.

My cousin had enter the dragonfly and he let me play it. then i got spyro season of flame for my GBA.

I first say Spyro when I saw the commericial for Ripto's Rage. But I was too young to pay any attention to Spyro. I still knew who Spyro was but basically I didn't care. At age 15 when I saw TEN commericial I still didn't care. I saw DOTD commericial and I thought was "Oh they added a girl character." I didn't get hooked on Spyro until one day.

I was browsing Youtube, looking for Sonic or Dark Sonic videos. I came upon this one that said "Dark Sonic and Dark Spyro tribute" (No it was not a gay couple video). I decided to might as well watch it since Sonic was in it. When I watched it I became amazed by it. I quickly watched the related videos with Dark Spyro which were the game clips. I fell in love instantly and declared myself a Spyro fan. I began watching Spyro videos like nuts.

I have to admit that my knowledge on Spyro was really terrible considering that I thought the LoS storyline was the plot for all the Spyro games, I didn't know the Dark Master was a dragon, I thought Cynder was always good, I thought Adult Cynder was from the future, and I thought Ignitus and Malefor were the same dragon.

But eventually I corrected myself of the knowledge by doing research. My first game was DOTD. I didn't learn that there was two different plot lines until I got Hero's Tail. Then I researched Old Spyro and learned about him. I ended up getting also ANB, TEN, and ETD. Finally I became the Spyro fan I am today.

Mom bought the first game for me and I've loved him ever since!

Got TEN ds for christmas. Fell in love with the plot. Really.

I think I just saw it in my local video shop one day and wanted to try it out. Then I was hooked. But like I said, I can't remember because it was that long ago. I was only 3 or 4 when I discovered it.

My brother bought it when I was 4. Shortly after he played it, I tried it and since then I've been playing Spyro.

When I was 5 my cousin brought the first game over to my house and let me play, it wasn't until I had moved about half a year later that I was given my own copy of the game. 2 years later I got my cousin addicted to the series, and about 2 months ago I got my friend addicted to Spyro.

I played the Spyro the Dragon demo that was on Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped.

When I was little I saw the commercials on T.V. Then, we were in a video game store one time and Spyro The Dragon was one of the games they had up for children to play. In those few minutes before we had to leave, I was hooked on the little purple dragon. Unfortunately, I didn't have a playstation(and wouldn't have a PS2 for another 7 years) so it wasn't until SOI came out that I got to play Spyro again. I never got to play another video game version until ETD came out for Game Cube.

STD was one of my first video games. I got it when I was about 5.

I saw Shadow Legacy in a shop when I was like 7,and I loved dragons,so I decided to buy it.

I found about it through a Disney magazine ( video game special or something like that; dunno where I put it ). The game they 'advertised' was EtD, and I thought it looked interesting. At the time, though, my family didn't have any of the systems it was on ( we only had a Nintendo 64 and SEGA Dreamcast, as well as a GameBoy ), so I kept quiet about it for the most part, as we weren't big into getting game systems. I was seven years old at the time.

By the time I finally got a Spyro game, I was ten. My first game was Season of Ice on the GameBoy Advance ( which was a birthday present, go figure). I was so happy when I got it...and made sure my parents knew it. I loved the game, so naturally I wanted to play the others, like Season of Flame. Loved that one as well.

Eventually, I got a PS2 and was finally able to play EtD. It wasn't what I expected, but it was still a blast. Since then, I've been a big Spyro fan. The only games I haven't played are the original PS1 trilogy ( but I want to so bad ) and the other GBA game ( forgot what it was called). And that ends my story.

Eh... Emulaters don't really appeal to me much.

When I was 3 or 4, and my brother was playing it. I thought he was a kitty with wings, so I played it.

My sister was playing the demo and when I got my ps2 my mom bought StD on the day it got released and ever since I have been buying the games and now I have every one. I fell in love with him the very first time I saw him cause I loved dragons all my life and he was and still is the cutest dragon I have ever seen.

Back when my dad was still subscribed to OPSM, we'd get demo disks in the mail.

One disk had a demo of "Spyro the Dragon" on it. I was obsessed with dragons when I was little, so I jumped at this game where you could play as a dragon.
I played the heck out of that demo, and was so freaking excited when I finally got the game and my own PS1 from Christmas the year Spyro 1 came out.
I think I was 8 or somethin' then. I can't remember.

A friend of a friend lent my family the game for whatever insignificant reason around nine years ago.

I ended up really liking the series and became a huge fan of it till I was ten or so.

I got for my 2nd birthday a Playstation and STD, and then i became a big fan of him...

I played one of the 1st 3 originals at my friends house.

When I was 7 or 8, I saw Spyro 2 Getaway to Glimmer (Ripto's Rage) in a supermarket. And later I Have seen an Demo on a winter releases disc of Ps1. At christmas 2004 I've got Spyro 2^-^v

i honestly don't remember much but i know that at least 1 of my brothers liked StD and i got suck playing it because all of my brothers were significantly older than me and that was 1 of our only games appropriate for me to play. ever since then i've been hooked. all of my friends call me Pyro Spyro.......but the ?pyro? part has absolutely nothing to do with my obsession with fire............hehe

It was my 11th birthday when my older sis got me a PS1, up to then I was a 100% n00b to the world of video-games (Other then those little portable 1$ sports games that'd run out of batteries within a few weeks), so we went on over to Game-Stop to get some games: A fishing game (Never got it to work), A Barbie Horse Ridding game (Completely crashed every time went to a certain level), A Horse Jumping Game (Turned out to just be a PS1 port of a game I already owned), and...

It was Spyro2 - Ripto's Rage, ( And I have to admit, I thought Spyro was a girl (cuz of the color) when I first saw the picture Whoopse). But I loved the game, even though I never got past Crush ( I was scared of him ) until after some time ago when I moved ( The other three games got lost being shipped over, leaving only Spyro and this Rocket Power game that a friend of mine gave me that I could never get the hang of.) and I remember when I first beat Ripto, lord I was shaking (I had died a bazillion times) and I just felt to accomplished to have beaten him, I'll never forget how happy I felt that day 8D

And eventually I discovered his other games, and have been a Spyro fan ever since 8D

well,when my parents divorced,one day we were visiting the new fathers brother, and their kids had ANB.And then when i played it...well,i´m a big dragon fan,so i fell in love with it.so, now i have ANB,TEN,DOTD,AHT and ETD.

i remember playing the original when it first came out...i was like, 6. i think my sister's are the ones who brought it home!

Can't help you with playing YotD, but I'm pretty sure the first two are on PSN. The other GBA game(s) is (are) called Attack of the Rhynocs, or Adventure in EU (and Orange, or Fusion in EU).
