Lol, creative name, right? I posted the idea at first on SpyroFanatic101's topic. The story is there, too. I'll post a prologue (like I usually do) and see if I get good reviews. And by the way, this fic won't be as emotional or thoughtful as my Cynder fic.

Prologue

Cynder hadn't come back last night, or the next morning. Spyro waited outside the cave, watching the sun set and leaving a dazzling pink and purple display. He sighed, "Cynder where are you?"

A single tear of worriness ran down his purple, scaily cheek. He blinked the other tears away. "You'll be okay," he told himself. "Everying is gonna be fine."

He padded back to the inside of the cave, wondering where Cynder had gone. She had gone out for an evening flight, and never returned - The latest she had ever stayed out was until midnight. Where had that dragoness gone? He knew that if she didn't return by tomorrow, he would have to go find her.

Chapter 1

Sparx was at the temple with Volteer. The two both had a tendancy to talk a lot, so Terrador had set up a day that the two would just kind of hang out. So far, it was going terribly.

"Did you know I can destroy apes with my death-glare?" Sparx lied, trying to sound impressive.

Volteer shook his head. "No, no, no, that is quite improbable! If I am scientificly correct then no Anisoptera could ever bring demise to an animate body!"

Sparx starred with his draw dropped for a moment before saying, "Dude! Slow down! You talk faster than the lightning that shoots from you mouth... And that's pretty fast!"

Volteer, obviously offended, turned away.

Cynder didn't return. Knowing she was probably in some kind of danger, he spread his wings and soared off, into the sky. Looking around the forest, he saw nothing wrong - And that worried him even more. Sighing, he decided to check the forest on foot. If he couldn't find her that way, he would have to resort to asking the elders.

"Cynder!" he called out. "Cynnnn-Derrrr!"

No reply.

"CYNDER! CYNDER, CAN YOU HEAR ME?!?!" he called.

No reply again.

A tear fell down Spyro's cheak, worried for the dragoness. What if she were hurt? Or... Or... Dead...? The very thought made the purple dragon shiver. Swallowing, he kept walking.

Walking on, he suddenly, he heard a very raspy voice ask from behind him, "So, you're the purple dragon, eh? How pathetic!"

Chapter 2

Spyro whipped around and saw a cheetah. Though it wasn't one like hunter, standing on two legs and a cloak or some other type of cloathing: It was a feril one; standing on four legs and hissing, saliva dripping from it's dagger-like fangs.

"What... er... Who are you?" asked Spyro.

The cheetah chuckled. "You're a strange dragon... How'd you end up here anyway?" Spyro was suprised to realized that this thing was a female.

"I was looking for my friend... She's gone." Spyro explained, swallowing. He was worried this creature was looking for trouble, and he was afraid she had found it.

She began surrounding him. "Listen, dragon, no one's allowed in our forest! Especially not the purple dragon! Every since our master was defeated, we've experienced chaos! You're gonna pay..."

Spyro bit his lip, realizing that this creature was a servant of Malefor, and probably was going to try to avenge her master. She hissed and roared to the sky. Suddenly, the trees were full of the cheetahs and they all pounced on Spyro at once.

"Help!" he called desperaltely to anyone who could hear. "Please! Help!" Spyro was covered with the cheetahs, all clawing and biting at him. Finally, blood oozing from multiple cuts, he closed his eyes, unconsious.

"ha ha!" the cheetah shouted in victory. She padded up to the unconscious body and grinned. "I'm gonna show you what happens when you mess with the dark side."

Cynder lay on a cliff, her wing torn and her leg broken. She finally opened her eyes, after being to weak to even stay consious for two nights now. She remebered her past, strange experiance:

Three apes had attacked. They were once led by Malefor, obviously, and were now insane without leaders. Two of them were attacking from different sides, and the last one was randomly throughing dynamite. She killed one of them.

Then the other attacked, and scratched straight through her wing. She shook it off the cliff. Then the last one made itself explode with a stick of dynamite. She collapsed, tired. Slowly, she let herself sleep.

And then she had woken up here. And now here she was; unable to fly and unable to walk.

She was stuck.

Chapter 3

Spyro opened his eyes to total darkness. Lifting his head from the ground, he was immediatly dizzy. Growling, he stood up and was so dizzy he fell to the ground. Looking around from the floor, he could see he was in the dark depths of a cave, in a cage.

"Hello? Is someone there?" called Spyro, his voice echoing off the walls of the cave.

Silence.

"I'm serious! Who captured me? What do you want?" he snarled.

"Oh, save your breath." a small lizard slithered into view, acompanied by two large cheetahs, both with saber-teeth. The lizard grinned. "I never thought I'd see the day when the purple dragon was captured." She hissed in delight.

"Who are you?" asked Spyro, smoke rising from his nostrils menicingly. He did not have time for this... Especially not with Cynder still lost.

"You can call me Mira... I was a close friend of Malefor... Until he was killed by you, that is." Mira hissed, her fangs showing. Her golden eyes narrowed to prove her point.

"Well what do you even plan to do to me?" asked Spyro bitterly.

Mira smiled evilly, obviously horrible thoughts in her head. "Oh, you'll see." She turned to slither away, the two saber-cheetahs turning as well. As she padded off she turned and whispered, "Enjoy your stay in prison." she cackled as she dissapeared into the shadowy depths.

Sparx slept in a small corner of the temple. Well, he wasn't sleeping, but trying to sleep. Terrador had a tendancy of snoring, and he could never sleep because of it. He yawned and was about to wake the master up when a voice whispered, "Sparx!"

Sparx turned and saw Cyril. "Sparx, it is very urgent... Spyro is in danger!"

"What? My big purple bro's in trouble?" asked Sparx with a small hint of sarcasm. He pretended to shake with fear.

Cyril growled. "This is no time for playing Sparx... I can sense Spyro in trouble. I fear the worst for him. With Cynder gone as well, and Ignitus the Chronicler, I believe you are the only one to save him... And perhaps the whole planet."

"Whoa now, that's a lot of weight for just one small bug." Sparx chuckled.

Cyril shook his head. "In order for Spyro to live, you must set out and save him."

Chapter 4

Sparx sighed, knowing he would have to go save Spyro whether he liked it or not. But where did he even begin? He could always check Avalar... And every forest around... And every valley... and-

There was no way he could do this!

What kind of dragon sends a small bug to save the planet and his bestfriend/brother? How is he expected to even try to find Spyro, when he could barely even begin to leave the temple? And who knows how many people want him killed?!

Just the thought made him shiver.

Chapter 5 (continued)

Spyro waited for Mira - or somebody - to come in. He had tried to break the bars, or burn them, but they were made with some kind of reinforced steal, and they were unbreakable. Growling, he wondered where Cynder was.

She could be dead.

She could be captured.

She could be dying.

She could be lost.

There were thousands of different reasons she may be gone. Spyro hated having to even think about all the different explanations, for none of them were good ones. Instead, he tried to think of something positive. Sparx was fine. He was at the dojo sleeping, right?

As Spyro lay captured in the cave, a small yellow bug flew around Avalar. "Spyyyyyyroooooo?" he called out loudly. "Ya there, buddy?" when he got no answer, he flew around some more. "SPPPPPppppppppppppppyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooooooooooo!!!!" he screamed at the top of his lungs.

Sighing, he gave up.

If he was gonna find Spyro, calling out for him wouldn't do much. Maybe if he found Cynder! He thought, where would Cynder be, though? There were so many places one small, black dragoness could be!

Sparx sighed: This was going to be harder than he had thought.
