this story is for five of my friends, karen f, pinkdesi101, cheyannne0, Queen_Cynder, and madison-dwrd. i hope you like it!


It was a cold day, the coldest day of the year. Ice Shard shivered as a white blanket of snow covered her. "If I hadn't left them...I wouldn't be so cold right now..."She said softly to herself. She opened her eyes wider, in fear the snow blizzard might kill her if she fell asleep.

"Ice Shard...I miss you...I know I shouldn't have been so rude to you..." Lacy whispered to herself. But Ice Shard was gone. Halfway around the world. Lacy wrapped her wings around herself, in hope to become warmer.

Frozen Fire sighed, as heavy snow covered her. Her mouth burned for thirst. Tears fell down her blue scales, and she longed for somebody to hug her. "What am I talking about? I don't need them." She said, filled with anger and hatred.

She gazed at the sunrise, wanting the sun to come closer and melt the snow around her. "I'm f-f-freezing...L-l-l-lacy...C-c-come b-b-b-back." Star said, but she knew Lacy nor Ice Shard would ever come back to the Hardland.

"It's my fault they all left me. I should have been more of a team leader. I wish they would all come back so i could apoligize. I'm cold, and I'm an ice dragoness." Crystal sobbed, as a warm tear fell on the snow. She stretched out her wings and tried to fly, but she was too cold, and the snow was falling heavier and heavier each minute.

"I'll never find them. I never should have left them." Ice Shard sobbed as she flew through the blizzard. I don't even know where I am going!" She had a strange feeling that somebody was watching her. Shadows flew past her like wind. She didn't know what they were, she only caught glimpses. "Um...h-hello?" She urged. Ice Shard hovered in the air for a moment. Then, when she was almost about to fly, 2 black figures grabbed her wings and pulled her to a mysterious building known as Cynder's fortress...

Lacy scrounged around, trying to find a frozen river. "Oh what is the use. I'm never going to find anything without them. I might as well fall asleep here, and never wake up." But as she dug a pit in the snow, she heard something. She turned around, only to see small footsteps fading in the snow. A confused smile spread across her face, and she said, "Ok, that's enough. I know you're here." She turned around and dug more. She saw a small gray figure standing next to her, gazing down on what she was doing. He suddenly sprung into action, grabbing her and dragging her to an even colder place, where an ice king was waiting.

Frozen Fire gazed out to the setting sun, and wondered how hours ago, she had waken up. It felt like 5 minutes. "If I don't find them fast, I am going to be frozen...not fire. I wish i had fire." She said to herself. A small bird flew closer to her from far away in the distance. "I'm here!!" She said, her eyes filled with a warm glow. "Star? S-s-star? Um, that is you, isn't it Star?" She said as a scared look spread across her face. 3 more creatures joined the 'bird', and a gleam of hope glimmered in Frozen Fire's eyes. "It's Star...and...Ice Shard...I think...and Lacy and Crystal!" But as the animals got closer, more and more joined them, and they were Dread Wings. They grabbed Frozen Fire by her wings and lifted her right off her feet, and they carried her off to a land called Tall Plains, where it was winter still.

"I can't believe they left me." Star sighed and shivered. A large purple dragon, probably around her age, swooped down and grabbed her. She squirmed around, trying to break free. The purple dragon had a strong grip on her. Star grew more and more cold as they flew farther away from the sunset. It was very dark now, and the moon was up, high in the sky. "Let go! I demand it! Who are you anyway?" She yelled to the dragon. "I am The Sorcerer, and I demand you SHUT UP! You can't tell me what to do."He had a nasty smile on his face.
