Oh, gads, Cynder! No contest. I've never played AHT, but the one bit of Ember footage I saw was enough to make me despise her utterly. Her voice alone is enough to make my head hurt and she is so dang pushy!

Cynder was evil for most of her life, she was voiced once by a voice actor I am very fond of, and her design is great. How can I not love that?

I agree with you 100%, Razz!!! I know she only made one cutscene but HOYAGAGEEZA, she is just sooooo annoying!!!

Both pretty bad characters. Cynder is the best of both, but she still isn't good in my opinion and I think can be annoying oftentimes, especially since she is a fan hog.

Ember was, unfortunately, an Amy clone to show that old-school Spyro is too cool for being chained to a girl and to show that he's soooo cool that females want him bad. Then, they scrapped the original idea in another game entirely and made her into a random girl to be paired up with another random character.

Not to say that Ember didn't have potential... but she just scream "wasted potential". She could have been a fanon-only character and she would have had as much development and appearances in the canon for all we care.

So, Cynder wins by default... not to say that Cynder doesn't deserve the win.

Cynder actually have an interesting character development route (for once, a puppet villain that doesn't sacrifice itself/die the second it swap back to the side of the good guys). The problem is that although she IS interesting and all... we got to see too much of her "damsel in distress" side and not enough of her fighting character side... which is a bit weird considering her personality and overall feel.

But still, so far, she do seem interesting and varying on how the third Legend of Spyro go, could pretty much become one of the best Spyro characters introduced in the serie overall... or a disappointing letdown.

But regardless of that, she win over Ember since Ember wasn't developed and what roles she got aren't exactly good.

Yeah, I was very disappointed by the "damsel in distress" aspect of Cynder in TEN, but it did have a few little fun things to it that we don't get to see (which should have been included in the game). It would have been nice to see Cynder tricking the apes and completely looking like she'd given in to darkness (which is what she had to do in order to win Gaul's trust the way she did). It would've given the player something to be really concerned over.

My favorite? Let me give you a hint, it starts with Cynd and ends with er.

I like Ember, but not as much as I like Cynder.

I still love Cynder, but she does need some depth added. She has a lot of potential that isn't being used, but that's part of why I love her. There's a lot of untapped character potential, which makes for fun stories.

The pariah (or Pariah) is one of my LoS fan characters. She was born three or four generations after the Dark Master and is a rare kind of dragon born just outside the Year of the Dragon, which isn't a good thing. She's not the nicest creature ever hatched, her own body is slowly killing her, and she has one very forbidden power (the only gift she received from the Ancestors, but it's a good part curse, too, since it eventually breaks her mind). I created her to answer a question I had about Gaul and the Dark Master (namely: how did the DM get such a strong leader type to submit to him? Answer: mind control and a goodly amount of deceit ).

Thanks for the answers Razz. Pariah sounds kool as ice, (that term has two meanings when I use it). If Cynder rocks in the first dimension, just think of her with some extra dimensions.

'Cause so far she's yet to show any real depth. In most of the scenes of her in TEN she says about 4 lines then buggers off to someplace only to show up later in the hands of another enemy.

I've already said why I hate Ember. Her voice is annoying, she's pushy and bratty, her design is aweful, and she's pink. Bleagh.

As for Cynder having no depth, there is some to her, but you've got to know where to look for it. The best example I can give (and I really hate that Krome actually didn't show us any of this) is her fooling the apes in TEN. She had them convinced she was back on their side, to the extent that Gaul was confident she would kill Spyro. She had the run of Malefore and the trust of the apes. It's a real shame we never saw how she pulled that off, because it was doubtless pretty awesome.
