VA = Voice Actor, by the way.

Suppose they're making a new Spyro game. Do you think they'd keep the same VAs for Spyro, Sparx, and whoever else may be in it? And who would you like as a VA?
Just another random thought in my head ~

I did not really like Spyro's voice at all. Elijah Wood just does not strike me as a good VA for any dragon. I know Spyro is aimed for a childlike audience but still, something a little cooler would be nice.

To be blunt - I don't care as long as they are experienced. Actors don't count as VA's IMO, that to me is just a waste of resources. And not to mention that its only a cheap way to get people to buy a game just because your favorite actor is in the game and what not.

Cree Summers, and Billy west are great VA's as they have been in numerous series voicing characters (Plus Cree Summers was best as Cynder (adult form) and Billy West was great as Sparx and I believe Hunter in the original trilogy).

But I guess it really comes down to the Dialogue, and Voice Director, but I'll digress on that one.

Again, I don't care who's voicing who (basically cause my knowledge on VA is horrible ), but as long as they have a good running history of voicing characters than I'm fine with that.

They probably won't use celebrity VAs, like Elijah Wood or Christina Ricci in the next game. It would be a waste of money.

Hopefully, they'll use standard VAs who are well known in cartoons, like Billy West, Tom Kenny, Cree Summer, and or Mae Whitman.

I, too, loved Billy West and Cree Summers, but I usually dislike celebrities as VAs. I think, for Spyro, they should bring in someone younger, maybe 14-ish, and bubbly, so you get a happy mood. That's how I see Spyro being successful - A happy, young, innocent childlike character.

If Activision even allows young voice actors.

Billy West should be recurred as Sparx, JMO. I won't be having my hopes up for Elijah Wood to return as Spyro, even though he's my favorite actor. :P

Yeah oh and the voice actor for spyro AHT sounded um well bad. Heck I can voice Terrador and Spyro if need be. But I believe they ought to have regular voice actors in the game nothing fancy. I play the game to have good gameplay not to see the cutscenes and hear my fav actor thats what movies are for. Spyro's voice was good for his cute self but not for DOTD spyro, i didnt hear any if much deeper tone then the first two games, then again elijah wood doesnt have a deep voice to make dotd spyro sound older.

I love Elijah's voice-acting, too! :D But since the Legend trilogy ended, Wood may not return. ((he's signed up for his first role in a television comedy, and he's been working on the pilot since yesterday, from what I've heard...))

Maurice LaMarche is the voice of Brain (Pinky & The Brain), Father (KND), Balto (Balto 2&3), exc. and a whole lot of other characters. He's like legendary. XD

I was pretty content with the voice acting,the only thing I noticed was that when Christina Ricci or Cynder spoke it made a crackling sound in my speakers.It could have just been that my Tv has a bad sound system but it never does that when the other characters talk.

I don't mind really, just as long as they are voice actors, and not film actors. The only preference I have? Bring back Tom Kenny. He was Spyro's best voice actor, IMO.

Tom Kenny's Spyro voice suits the character best imo(and he did some good voices for some of the npc animal characters in levels)

true enough Elijah wood probably won't come back, which really annoys me. After a while you sorta get use to the voice of a character, then when it's changed your like wtf? Especially since he did all three in the trilogy. even though half the reason he was hired was for popularity he really did a brilliant job i thinks.
so i know it's a long shot but to have Elijah wood and Gary Oldman back would be sweeeeet in my opinion.

Hmm.. I guess you're right about Ember. Besides... she needs to act more girly than a Wild Thornberry. xD

And YES, that's what I'm talking about!! Justin does some energetic acting, and I think that could fit Spyro perfectly.

Naw, I think they should try to stay true to the happy go lucky bubblyness of Ember but maker her less ga ga and girly.

it was Matthew Lillard. but i don't know if that would be a good voice for Hunter. i liked his voice in Dotd.

Elijah Wood was the only thing in LoS I liked. I hope he continues to voice Spyro

If not, Tom Kenny should do a comeback. I shall always remember Spyro the best when he did his voice. Probably because he did Spyro's voice for the 2 best games in the series(GtG and YotD).

If Elijah Wood won't return for the nexy game, then I hope they pick Tom Kenny instead of Jess Harnell (AHT-SL).

I don't like the new Spyro Voice. It's weird and not good.
Sparx's voice annoys me because it changes and I perfer him not talking.
Cynder... She is annoying all throughout DotD so I'm sick of her voice.

Sparx spoke in AHT, but still had his kazoo-like voice. If they kept it like that in the LoS trilogy, then I guess it would be fine too.

I don't like Cynder's because she is so annoying! In DotD she states the obvious
to me. I mean, there's a gang of Grublins 10 cm away from me and she goes "I think there are Grubblins here..."

I don't remember Cynder saying that quote anywhere in the game...but I don't like how her voice actor didn't give her enough emotion.
