I switch to Dark Spyro only if I want to use Convexity Breath on some tough guys or boss, but in normal gameplay I play as normal Spyro, childhood too. In cutscenes I like to switch to Dark Spyro, when Spyro gets angry, it looks cool.

there is a cheat for it in the cheat section of the game

Yeah, it's R3 on mine, too.


Maybe it depends on which verson of the game you have? Like, on the PAL version is L3 and on the NTSC version its R3
