For those of you who have read Shadowclaw: The Poison Moon well, this is about Shadowclaw's and Crystal's son, Blaze. Shadowclaw, Crystal and Blaze live up in the Moon Moutains, where the Poison Moon and the Sliver Moon set.

Blaze is white, with blood-red stripes, horns, wings, spines, and belly.
Blaze has golden eyes, poisonus fangs like his father, Shadowclaw, and a heart of gold like his mother, Crystal. Blaze's poison is the colour of blood. Unlike ShadowClan dragons, Blaze doesn't like meat, and will only eat vegetables, nuts, berries, and fruit. Blaze also likes to eat insects. Dragons have to mate with another dragon from their Clan. If they do not, it would be breaking the Dragon Code. And then forced to leave their Clan. Shadowclaw and Crystal deiced to leave their Clan, and live a happy life together in the Moon Mountains. And have their cub there.

Shadowclaw was now 20 Moons old, a fully grown adult dragon. It seems only yesterday I was traveling with Kai, Shadowclaw thought. But he couldn't think of Kai now. He was going to be a father, and Crystal was exspecting her egg very soon. Crystal put together the last bits of moss to make her nest. "There, I've finished the nest," Crystal purred proudly. Shadowclaw smiled. "Well done," Shadowclaw purred, nuzzling Crystal.
"It's my turn to hunt," Shadowclaw said. "I'll be back soon." Then, Shadowclaw spread out his wings, gave a few firm flaps, then soared into the foggy sky. Shadowclaw looked at the Poison Moon. I remeber when I was traveling there to save Moika, Shadowclaw flew past the Sliver Moon, then came to some hunting grounds. Moutain goats bleted loudly. Shadowclaw eyed them, then swooped down, claws and fangs flared. Shadowclaw took down the goat by surprise. All the other moutain goats fleed. Shadowclaw proudly took back his kill.
Shadowclaw glided towards the den, then carefully landed. Shadowclaw
dragged the goat inside, towards Crystal. "Great job, Shadowclaw." Crystal smiled as she chewed on some goat meat. "Thanks," Shadowclaw grinned as he tucked in. After they had finished eating, Crystal said, "I can feel him coming, it won't be long now." Crystal said, rubbing her belly. Shadowclaw's heart missed a beat. I'm going to be a father!
The sun started to set, and the two dragons coiled up with each other, sharing their warmth.

"Shadowclaw!" Crystal yelled. "Shadowclaw! The egg is coming!" Shadowclaw jolted awake, and rushed over to Crystal. "Really? Oh My God! I'm going to be a father!" Shadowclaw cried with excitment.
After a lot of pushing, Crystal finally laid her beautiful white and red egg.
It shined and shimmered in the sunlight. "Isn't it beautiful, Shadowclaw?" Crystal purred, licking her egg clean. "It's the most beautiful egg I've ever seen," Shadowclaw smiled, and licked Crystal. Crystal licked Shadowclaw back. Now all we have to do is wait, and guard the egg, Shadowclaw thought.

Shadowclaw guarded his egg proudly. Crystal was out hunting. Now that Crystal had laid her egg, it was very vonrable. Snow leopards, snow foxes, and Torax's could make a easy meal out of Shadowclaw's and Crystal's egg. A Torax is a emourmus green lizard, with six legs, poisonus fangs, and a gaze that could kill. Torax's like to eat mostly dragon eggs, young dragon cubs, and even sometimes adult dragons.
Torax's are mostly found high up in the snowy mountains. So Shadowclaw and Crystal had to be on guard. Shadowclaw pressed his face on the egg.
I can hear it's heart beat!, Shadowclaw thought excitedly. Shadowclaw licked the egg. And looked proudly over it.

Crystal soon came back from hunting, and had another mountain goat in her jaws. She dropped the mountain goat on the floor. "Nice job," Shadowclaw purred as he sucked up the blood. "Thanks," Crystal smiled, as she chomped on some of the goat's meat. Soon, all that remainded of the goat was a few tufts of fur, hooves, and horns. Crystal trotted over to her egg, and started to wash it with her snake-like tounge. Shadowclaw watched proudly. Suddenly, there was a loud crack. "Shadowclaw! The egg is hatching!" Crystal cried. Shadowclaw looked over the egg. "Oh my gosh, it is! I'm going to be a father!" Shadowclaw beamed. There was a blinding light, Shadowclaw and Crystal put their paws over their eyes. The light soon faded away, and all was left was a small white and red baby dragon cub, and some chipped egg shells.
"It's a boy," Crystal smiled, and licked her son. The baby dragon giggled. Shadowclaw felt a rush of happiness and pride buzz through him. I have a son!, Shadowclaw bent down and nuzzled his cub. "What should we call him?" Shadowclaw asked. Crystal thought for a momment. "Blaze. We'll call him Blaze," Crystal said. Blaze... Shadowclaw thought as he looked over his son.

TEN YEARS LATER...

Blaze scampered across the snowy plains. Blaze slid down the soft, squishy snow. "Ah!!" Blaze yelped as he sumer-sulted down the snowy mountain. When Blaze opened his eyes, he was completed covered in snow! Ah! not again!, Blaze thought with a snarl. This was the tenth time Blaze had been buried in the deep snow. Blaze started to dig with his paws. Finally, Blaze was back up at the surface again. Blaze took long breaths of air. I wonder what it's like without snow, Blaze thought.
Blaze then bounded back towards his den. Where his mother, Crystal, was keeping a look-out for any snow leopards, Toraxs, or any type of un-wanted visators. "Oh, Blaze! What have I said about playing in the snow? Now I have to clean you all up again," Crystal sighed. "Mother! I like playing in the snow. That's all I get to do all day," Blaze growled. "Just let him play in it," Shadowclaw grunted. "He hasn't got anything to do." Crystal sighed. "Alright, but remeber, keep a look out for snow leopards, snow foxes, and espeically..." "Toraxs, I know, I know." Blaze snarled. "OK, as long as your careful." Crystal said, and licked her son. "Mother! That tickles!" Blaze giggled as he rolled on his back, as Crystal tickled him with her long tounge. "Also, if you see any Twolegs, run. Come straight back here," Crystal warned. Blaze rolled his eyes. There aren't any Twolegs up here anyway! I wonder where they really come from, Blaze thought. "Anyway, you need to have some food. You look starving dear," Crystal said as she rushed off to find some food for Blaze. Blaze sighed, he sat down, and watched the Poison Moon.

Crystal gave Blaze some raw meat. Yuck! Meat! I hate meat!, Blaze thought as he spat on the ground. Some red venom trickled arcoss the den floor. "Blaze! What have I told you about spitting on the ground? Your venom can kill, you know. So just be careful, please." Crystal growled. Shadowclaw grunted from the other side of the den. That's all he does all day, just lie around. Untill Father has to go hunting, Blaze thought.
"It's good for you son," Shadowclaw grunted as he heaved himself up.
"It's part of you diet. And you are part ShadowClan, which is where I come from. That is all us ShadowClan dragons would ever eat. Meat, blood, bones and all." Shadowclaw explained. "Yeah, but I hate the taste. And I don't like to see other animals suffer," Blaze explained. Shadowclaw sighed. "One day, one day you will son." Shadowclaw sighed, and lumpered back to his sleeping spot. Crystal came over to comfort her son.
"It's alright, Blaze. It can't be helped. I, personally, prefer fruit and vege rather than meat. But that's all we get up in the Moon Mountains, goat meat, snow leopard meat...just be yourself, it's all any of us can do." Crystal said as she gave Blaze a lick. Blaze sighed, and prowled out of the den. I wonder what it's like beyond the Moons, far, far away from here. Blaze thought.

That night, Blaze thought about what was beyond the mountains. Maybe other dragons are out there, Blaze wondered. Shadowclaw snored loudly, while Crystal was making her nest. "Mother," Blaze said. Crystal turned towards her son. "Yes, my hatchling?" Crystal purred.
"Is there another world beyond the mountains? A world without snow? A world with other dragons?" Blaze asked. Crystal stared at her son in surprise. She sighed. "Yes, yes there is, dear. Your Father and I lived far beyond the Moon Mountains. We lived in Clans. I was in SliverClan, and your Father was in ShadowClan. There is also another Clan called SunClan as well." Crystal explained. SliverClan, ShadowClan and SunClan... Blaze thought. "I want to go there," Blaze said. "There are other dragons there, other dragons my age. I could have a friend! Someone to play with," Blaze said excitedly. Crystal sighed. She knew that Blaze wanted a friend badly, but she or Shadowclaw couldn't go back. They have broken the Dragon Code more than once. And if they do go back, they would be killed, Blaze along with them. "I am so, so, so sorry, dear. We can't go back," Crystal said sadly. Blaze's heart shriveled. "W-w-what!?" Blaze yelled. Shadowclaw woke up with a snort. "What do you mean, we can't go back?" Blaze cried. "It's complecated, dear. I'm sorry," Crystal said, trying to hug her son. But Blaze just pushed away. "All I want is a friend!" Blaze yelled, tears pouring down his white and red face. "You just don't understand, do you?"Shadowclaw sighed and shook his great head. "Son, if we go back, we will be killed. Along with you," Shadowclaw said darkly. Blaze's eye's widened with shock. "W-w-why?" Blaze stamered. "We'll tell you, but not now." Shadowclaw growled, as he went back to sleep. "Blaze-" "No, Mother." Blaze snarled, and then coiled himself up, and went to sleep. Crystal sighed. "What am I to do?" Crystal sighed.

Blaze deiced that he would leave his parents at midnight, and go see where he really came from. Blaze quietly padded out of the den. Shadowclaw's loud snores echoed through the den. Blaze took one last glance at his parents, then raced out onto the soft snow.
Blaze sighed with relife. So far, so good, Blaze thought happily. Blaze spread out his white and red wings, then started to sprint across the snow. Blaze flapped his wings like mad. Before he knew it, Blaze was flying! "Goodbye Mother and Father," Blaze muttered, and soared high up into the black starry sky.

*Bird eats him*

Me: I'll save you, Blaze! *kills bird and gets Blaze out of the birds stomach*

Blaze flew beyond the Moon Moutains and came to a forest. There's no snow!, Blaze thought happily. Blaze slowly glided towards the ground. He landed perfectly. Blaze stared at the strange brown dirt on the ground. What is this?, Blaze thought as he flicked some dirt. Blaze's paws weren't used to be walking on the soil. And the leaves where even more stranger to Blaze. I wonder where I am... Blaze wondered. Blaze slowly padded across the forest floor. He sniffed all the new smells, tasted new fruit. "There is nothing bad about this place!" Blaze snorted. "I wonder why Mother and Father wouldn't let me go here," Suddenly, Blaze smelled a new scent. A very sharp and strong scent...
Blaze turned his head around. "Because you're not welcome here!" hissed an angry voice.
It was Blackstorm.

Blaze started to shiver. "W-Who are you?" Blaze mumbled. Blaze had never met another dragon in his life, exspect for Shadowclaw and Crystal.
Blackstorm puffed up his chest. "I, am Blackstorm!" Blackstorm roared. Blaze almost jumped out of his scales. "And, who are you? I've never seen another dragon like you in my life-" Blackstorm paused to sniff Blaze.
"-Yes! You are part ShadowClan, and part SliverClan. A mixture of two Clans. You are not welcome here," Blackstorm hissed. Not welcome here? Well, if I'm part ShadowClan and part SliverClan, surely I'm welcome here. Blaze thought. "I-I'm Blaze," Blaze managed to say. "Blaze? That's the name of one of the first dragons to exist! Who are your parents?" Blackstorm growled, leaning closer to Blaze. Blaze gulped. Should I tell this dragon? Surely it could mean no harm,
"My father is Shadowclaw, and my mother is Crystal." Blaze said proudly.
Blackstorm's eyes widened. "No, I can't believe this!" Blackstorm hissed, turning his head away. "How am I ment to tell Snowscales?" "Tell who? Is there a problem?" Blaze asked. Blackstorm whipped his head around, his eyes flashing angryliy. "Oh, yes Blaze. There is a very big problem,"
Blackstorm snarled. Blackstorm grabbed Blaze by the paw, and flapped his wings. "Where are we going?" Blaze squeaked. Blackstorm chuckled. "Let's just say, you don't want to know," Blackstorm growled, and took to the skies, with Blaze firmly grasped in his paw.

After a few hours of flying, Blackstorm glided towards SliverClan. Blackstorm landed, and flung Blaze onto the ground. Blaze skidded, and bumped into a young female dragon. It was Yula. "Where did you come from?" Yula said in surprise. Blaze scrambled back up onto his paws. "Umm...I-I-I came from the Moon Mountains," Blaze stammered. Yula stared at Blaze with wide eyes. "Yula, get away from that freak," Blackstorm growled. "He's a mixture of SliverClan and ShadowClan!" Yula couldn't believe her ears. "SliverClan and ShadowClan? But that's impossible!" Yula gasped. Blaze started to shiver. What is going on?,
Blaze thought with a shiver. "What is all the comontion about?" Came a deep low growl from behind Yula. Yula made way for her father. Snowscales bent down and sniffed Blaze. "Where did this whelp come from? He has SliverClan and ShadowClan scent on him." Snowscales snarled. "He came from the Moon Mountains, sir," Blackstorm explained. All of the SliverClan gathered around. "His mother was Crystal and his father was Shadowclaw." Snowscales jaw hit the ground. "What? My Crystal? My own flesh and blood? Having a cub with Shadowclaw! If she, Shadowclaw, or you," Snowscales growled, stabbing a talon into Blaze's chest. "Come into my Clan again, you will be killed." Blaze gasped. "Die?" Blaze squeaked. "Yes, along with your stupid parents. They broke the Dragon Code! And now they must pay," Snowscales roared. "Father, wait!" Yula cried. "You can't just kill him! He's your own grandson for dragon's sake! And my nephew!" Snowscales glared at his daughter. "He has the mark of ShadowClan," Snowscales growled, glaring at Blaze. "Grandson or not, I'm going to kill you no matter what."

Just to let you know, Kai and Yula had a cub together. But Kai bravely took the egg into SunClan, before any SliverClan dragons knew about what had happened. Kai then raised his cub, and it was a girl. He called her Sunshine. And Yula never saw her daughter ever since. And Blackstorm's mother came from SliverClan, but his father came from ShadowClan. But Snowscales or the rest of SliverClan didn't know this. So yeah, just to let you guys know.

"Father! No!" Yula yelled, holding her father back. "Run! Get out of here!" Yula cried. Blaze raced into the woods. Snowscales flung his daughter onto the ground. "Don't just stand there! Go after him!" Snowscales roared. "You heard him, move!" Blackstorm roared, charging after Blaze. Icewind, Whiteface, Frostfang, Whiteclaw, Icefang, Sliverclaw, and Icewing charged after Blackstorm and Blaze.
Why are they chasing me? I did nothing wrong!, Blaze thought as a shiver went up his spine. "Get him!" Blackstorm yowled. "Please! Don't hurt me!" Blaze yelped. Blackstorm lunged at Blaze, but Blaze just doged in the nick of time. Whiteface lunged towards Blaze, and pinned him down. "Please! Mercy!" Blaze cried, as tears streamed down his face. "An order in an order, and the Dragon Code is the Dragon Code, you were never ment to be born!" Whiteface hissed through gritted teeth. Wait! My venom!, Blaze thought. Blaze flared his fangs, and Whiteface quickly leapt off. Blaze charged away. Blackstorm scrambled to his paws. "Don't just stand there, get him!!" Blackstorm snarled, charging after Blaze. The rest of the dragons raced after Blackstorm. Blaze quickly bolted into a old badgers den. The badgers scent was stale, but Blaze tried his best to mix in with the badgers scent. Blackstorm and the other dragons stopped. "Where did he go?" asked Icefang. "Maybe he's hiding in that badger den," Frostfang suggested. "No, it reaks of badger stench. He probaly went through these ferns," Blackstorm growled, leading the dragons away. After a few miniutes, when Blaze was sure the dragons had gone, he had some food and a quick drink, then charged into the forest in the oppisite direction Blackstorm had lead the SliverClan dragons.

When Blaze was sure he was far away from SliverClan, he stopped to catch his breath and get the badger sent off. If Snowscales if my grandfather, then why was he trying to kill me? Blaze thought. He said something about the Dragon Code, but why was the Dragon Code so special? Mother and Father didn't say anything about the Dragon Code... Blaze had a million questions, but all he could do was wonder. I have to go back to my parents. I was so foolish to come here, what have I done? How will I go back? I don't even know which way is back home!
Blaze thought sadly. I might as well find a Clan that might let me in with them...maybe ShadowClan? That's where Father came from, Blaze started to clean the badgers scent off by a small pool. At last, Blaze was smelling like his normal self again. "I might as well go," Blaze muttered, as he started on his long journey to ShadowClan. I don't even know where I'm going! Oh well, I'll just have to reliy on my scent, sight and ears.

Blaze trotted throught the unfamilar forest. He wasn't used to the new type of ground, and all the trees, bushes and new scents around him. There's no way I'll make it back now, I'll get ripped to shreads by my own grandfather! Blaze thought with a shiver. Blaze soon came to a small stream, where other strange dragons where drinking. One dark red dragon eyed Blaze warily. "Where's your mother, whelp?" The red dragon asked rudly. Blaze glared at him. "I don't need my mother!" Blaze hissed, curling his lips to reveal his venomus fangs. But he knew his words weren't true. Blaze needed Crystal badly, and Shadowclaw. The dark red dragon jumped back in surprise. "Aren't you a bit far away from your Clan?" The red dragon asked again. Clan...? I don't belong in a Clan, Blaze thought.
"I...I don't belong in a Clan! I can take care of myself," Blaze snarled. The red dragon laughed. "Don't belong in a Clan! What sort of dragon are you, then?" The red dragon laughed. Suddenly, a light red she-dragon crawled out of the ferns. "Darkfang! Be nice to him!" She snapped. Darkfang growled. "Yes Mother," Darkfang hissed as he stalked away. "Sorry about my son, he's been a bit rude lately." The she-dragon said. "I-it's okay," Blaze said. "And, where is your mother, darling? It's alright, I won't mock you," The she-dragon purred. Blaze wasn't so sure what to say back. "I-I-I really don't know," Blaze mumbled. He knew this was a silly answer. The she-dragon looked surprised. "Are you sure?" Blaze nodded. "What about you father?" "I-I-I don't know either," Blaze sighed. The other dragons that were drinking from the stream looked at Blaze. Why are they all staring at me? Blaze thought with a shiver. "He smells of ShadowClan," Hissed a dragon. "And SliverClan," Added another dragon.
The she-dragon looked sorry for Blaze. "Here, come with me, sweetheart," The she-dragon purred. Should I go? I might as well, I have no where else to go, Blaze thought as he trotted towards the she-dragon.

Blaze sat next to the friendly she-dragon. Darkfang watching them in the shadows. "My name is Kallik," Purred the she-dragon. "What is your name, dear?" "Blaze," Blaze replied. "Your name suites you," Kallik smiled. Darkfang snorted. Kallik flashed her son a behave-yourself look, then turned back towards Blaze. "Where did you come from? You smell of both ShadowClan and SliverClan!" Kallik said. Blaze gulped. I don't know how I should explain this... "Umm....The Moon Mountains," Blaze whispered.
Kallik looked at Blaze surprised. "The Moon Mountains?" Kallik gasped. Blaze gave a small shiver. Is that bad...? "You mean, you don't live in any Clan?" Kallik asked. Blaze slowly nodded. Darkfang chuckled. "What Clan are you from?" Blaze asked suddenly. "SunClan," Kallik replied. "But SunClan got overun by ShadowClan. We had to flee for our lives," Kallik said in a low whisper. "Razorclaw, the ShadowClan leader, almost killed Flamefang, our leader." Blaze gasped. "That's terrible!" Kallik sighed. "I know. So SunClan was spilt. Some remain, but others have fleed. My son and I are traveling back but...we aren't so sure if we should. ShadowClan may of destroyed most of our camp. They probaly have, but it is a big risk," Kallik explained with a small sigh. But Father comes from ShadowClan...why would ShadowClan do sutch a thing? Blaze wondered. "Come," Kallik purred. Blaze smiled and trotted after Kallik. Darkfang traliling behind.

Darkfang glared at Blaze the whole way. Kallik didn't seem to notice. "Whelp," Darkfang muttered under his breath. A growl rumbled in Blaze's throat. "I'm not a whelp!" Blaze hissed. Kallik glared at her son. "Darkfang! Behave!" Kallik growled. Darkfang looked at his paws, avoiding his mother's glaze. "Sorry about him, again." Kallik whispered to Blaze. "It's okay," Blaze whispered back. "Darkfang's father passed away, in the battle with ShadowClan and SunClan." Kallik whispered. Blaze's eyes widened. That's terrible! Blaze thought sadly. No wonder Darkfang's all snappy at me, he lost his own father. "That's horrible!" Blaze gasped. Kallik dropped her great head. "The sun is almost setting, we need to find a den to sleep for the night, quick." Kallik said as she started to search around for a den. Darkfang started to help his mother. Blaze did too. "Why do we have to search for a den to sleep so fast?" Blaze asked. Darkfang glared at Blaze. "SunClan dragons can't see when it's dark!" Darkfang snapped. Blaze was taken aback. "Sorry!" Blaze hissed. "I didn't know!" "Look, I've found a den," Kallik called as she slowly made her way into a small den. Darkfang snorted. "Are you sure it will fit all three of us?" Darkfang hissed. "Yes! I'm sure, come on Blaze dear." Kallik called. Blaze squeezed into the small den. It had just enough room. Darkfang turned his back to Blaze. Could he at least try to be nice? Blaze thought with a snarl. "Don't mind him, he'll get over it soon enough," Kallik purred. But there was a flash of sadness in her eyes, then she coiled up and went to sleep. Blaze sighed, then fell alseep.

"Wake up, you useless lump of Torax dung!" Came Darkfang's rasped growl. Blaze jolted awake. "W-what is it?" Blaze mumbled. Darkfang glared at Blaze. "Kallik picked up a Torax scent, not that far from here. We have to get out of here now, before the Torax shows up!" Darkfang spat. Blaze was taken aback. He should at least show a bit of respect, Blaze thought angrliy. Kallik came pelting back from the forest. "There is a Torax nest, with two young Toraxlings. The mother spotted me while I was running back, and now she's on her way!" Kallik panted. Blaze's eyes grew wide. He had seen a Torax before, but only in the distance. When he was with Shadowclaw and Crystal. But now, the Torax was heading straight for them! "We have to move, now!" Darkfang hissed.
Suddenly, there was a loud roar, echoing in the forest. "Like I said, we have to move!" Darkfang yowled. "We'll fly, Torax's can't fly," Kallik puffed. "You know how to fly, don't you Blaze?" Kallik asked, her eyes calm and understanding. "Yes," Blaze said quickly. Darkfang snorted. "I bet he doesn't, he's just trying to act cool." Darkfang muttered to his mother. Kallik rolled her eyes. Blaze shot Darkfang a angry look, then spreaded out his wings. Kallik and Darkfang did the same. The Torax's roar was growing closer. We have to hurry! Blaze thought as a rush of panic zipped up his body. "Now!" Kallik yowled as she started to run, Darkfang close behind her. "Come on, whelp!" Darkfang grunted as he took flight. I'll show him how a dragon really flies! Blaze charged after Kallik and Darkfang, Blaze flapped his wings like mad, then took to the skies and soon caught up with Kallik and Darkfang. Darkfang rolled his eyes. "Looks like you can fly after all," Darkfang grunted. The mother Torax burst out of the bushes, and roared angrily at the flying dragons up in the sky.
