It's been almost a day since the Captain Sere's ship arrived on a small island and defended it from pirates on their way to Falcon's beak, docking for supplies and gathering the attackers' treasures and trinkets. The voyage has been perilous, the dangers is lurking. Lives have already been lost, but very soon, the long journey will continue. The Guardians' mission is far from over. They still have to train the giant and formerly evil dragolet Shade, find Adjudicator Julian and hopefully encounter members of Raclaw's species, most likely his family. There is great variety on Sere and Latnok's crew, from the gentle fur dragon himself with his new friend Chester, to hardworking merpeople like Ilasi and Leoquin, some naughty members like the prankster Dwarf kaiju Icestorm, the strong and mighty minotaur Risar, the beloved mounts Veris and Dahlia, the tiny and usually rebellious troll Angora, and the ever peaceful but now resentful Maverick, who has a mission of his own in amending the mistakes of his past. Their journey is far from over, the dangers will only increase from now on, more enemies will they meet, and many tremendous forces will be against them. Their future is uncertain at this point, but their voyage will continue, and where it leads nobody knows, but it will certainly make many changes in everyone's lives.

Name: Raclaw
Age: 18 (in human years)
Species: Fur dragon
Good or evil: Good

Appearance: Raclaw has feathered wings and a furred body. A thick adjustable leather collar can be seen around his neck-- with a silver buckle, silver D-ring, and an emerald green gem visibly embedded just to the right of the silver D-ring. To those familiar with the Argent Guardians, the collar may mark him as "trusted" and indicate that he is a friend to the Guardians. Additionally, an golden "band" can also be seen around the tip of his tail and can change "forms" to suit his needs-- often being used a tail spike while in close combat. Both the collar and the tail band detect as magical to those who are able to tell, except under very specific circumstances. (Official reference drawn by shorty with additional RP-specific details added as needed.)

Personally: Raclaw is a curious dragon and a tad timid. Still somewhat tame after his time with humans-- he chooses to be a little gentler, but can be serious when he needs to be. Part of him still seeks to discover his past; having received some answers but not enough. He has since developed a growing bond with the Guardian known as Latnok; the two share a mental link and can feel each other's thoughts/emotions at times. This alongside mental links with both Shade (Dragolet) and Verris (Wyvern) can slightly alter and influence his personality over time.

Weapons: Raclaw's natural weapons include the use of his CLAWS and TEETH. In addition-- he may also use the collar's included "TEACH" function (similar to that of a shock collar), but only as a last resort as it pains him greatly. This last "weapon" only functions where outside magic is allowed.

Elements: Raclaw's elements include the use of FIRE and an advanced form of TELEPATHY.

History: Raclaw originally lived with a human family, first as a pet and later as a sort of protector. As a young pup—he was found alone and with no sign of his parents in sight. He soon found himself dropped off at a nearby farm where he was discovered to have an irremovable collar with a tag that simply read "RACLAW." As he developed and grew; he was never mistreated and often played alongside the family dog. It was the family’s hope that he may eventually develop his abilities and they grow concerned when he couldn’t even muster a puff of smoke. In addition, there was the still irremovable collar and so—they took his to a "specialist" in the nearby village.

It was there that Raclaw was recognized and Julian had told them how he had found Raclaw; and had been the very same “bystander” who dropped him off at their nearby farm. The family explained what they had observed as Julian "inspected" the collar-- its seamless appearance, the two irremovable gems to the left and right of the D-ring, and how it had adjusted itself overtime never growing too small or too tight as Raclaw grew. It was revealed that the two gems found on the collar were in fact responsible for blocking Raclaw’s elements and Julian agreed to study the matter further as they continued to give Raclaw a quality life. Before they left, Julian had been also been able to remove the claw-shaped tag (which had made quite a bit of noise) and allowing Raclaw to eventually hunt on his own without fear of scaring away the prey.

As time passed and the "research" continued—Raclaw became more aware of his own restrictions and they soon visited Julian’s lab once again to find out what progress had been made on the collar. It was still that Julian explained how he had come across an ancient Drow manual in his travels and how an "intelligent presence within the collar" allowed it to accept commands and enable or disable certain functions. He explained how anyone with physical contact to the collar would "just know" the commands and be able to act upon them. In addition, this person could also bond with the collar and act up certain commands ether by touch, verbal component, or mental thought—effectually owning Raclaw. Julian agreed to study the commands further and would later meet the family at their farm.

After allowing some time to pass, the day eventually came and they were able to make quick work in "disabling" the collar. Upon triggering the voices inside and acting upon certain commands—the two colored gems just seemed to fall out leaving a seamless leather surface behind and a previously unseen buckle had appeared. Raclaw stopped the family from removing the collar, however, and telepathically spoke to them for the very first time. He had thanked them, but expressed how he had wanted to keep the collar—both a sign of his yet unknown past and also to remember the family by. Julian explained how there was away and how Raclaw could potentially influence his own collar. The family, although confused at first, reluctantly agreed to let Raclaw try.

Upon speaking a carefully worked string of Drow commands—there was nothing at first, followed by feelings of confusion, and then one singular voice. “Your commands are accepted, collared one. As long as I am with you and remain unclaimed by another—only you may command my actions for as long as you are able. Any command asked of me will be followed including any that may negatively impact yourself. And if you wish to truly belong to another… you may do so. But be warned that doing do forfeits some of your own control until the day they release you.,” the collar spoke seeming to reluctantly accept that the rules had changed. A new command also came to mind... one that he dare not speak unless he truly meant it.

From that day one-- Raclaw was truly free for the first time and able to access his abilities for the first time in years. Now able to fend for himself and wanting more out of life, he would soon leave the farm and the humans to whom he had come to know and love. They weren't just owners or former owners to him-- they were something more. They were family and people that he deeply cared for. At first... he kept close by but soon went further and further out on his own. His visits became less often and his family wished him well on whatever future journeys may lie ahead for him. Eventually-- the humans became worried about the massive smoke coming from a nearby mountain and he volunteered to check it out on their behalf.

It was doing this journey where he had met Latnok and Sere—two "Guardians" who were part of a human organization responsible for his collaring and partly responsible for losing him. It was revealed that his collar was a modified Restraining Collar designed to help control the abilities of young dragon hatchlings who were given up by their parents—and placed with humans in hopes of bettering human/dragon relations. It was also revealed how these young dragons were meant to be guided by a Guardian, that Raclaw’s Guardian had somehow perished, and that Julian was in fact a Guardian. It was inferred that Julian, an Adjudicator in the ranks and head of magical research, had in fact placed the intelligent presence in his collar—presumably to make some sort of magical artifact. Despite this, a bond between him and Latnok (a Guardian) formed-- and only grew with time.

It was only during the aftermath of this journey that the intelligent presence had fully awoken-- revealing itself as "Damon" and explaining some of its backstory. Damon had once been an actual person who specialized in embedding magical properties into otherwise originary items; and having had the unfortunate luck of soul trapping himself into an amulet. Having been chosen to partake in an experiment, Damon had been unknowingly placed into Raclaw's collar where he would remain mostly dormant until the Guardians eventually officially "unlocked" the collar and inadvertently unleashed Damon's full capabilities. While Damon merely once moderated Raclaw's abilities via the collar-- he now shared a mental presence with Raclaw including access to all of Raclaw's thoughts, memories, and senses. In stark contrast to Damon's level of access, however, Raclaw himself is unable to access the formally alive entity's memories nor can he completely override Damon. The two currently have a mutual relationship, with Damon both advising Raclaw and maintaining various background tasks for his hosts-- such as the mental links he shared with certain other individuals.

AND RACLAW WOULD SOON FIND OUT EVEN MORE...

---

Name: Chester
Age: 3 (in human years)
Species: Beagle
Good or evil: Good

Appearance: 1½ feet of your typical beagle features

Personality: Chester is easily excitable and loves shiny things.
Weapons: Chester's only "weapons" include the use of his natural CLAWS and TEETH.
Elements: Chester is a dog and has no elements, unless you include the cuteness factor.

History: Chester was presumily born in and found in a shelter. While visiting Redwater-- Raclaw and Latnok found found him and saved him from his then current owners, who had planned to cook and eat him. Upon letting him stay the night with them in the Easy Eyrie Inn, they and Godfather Sere agreed to officially adopt him and take him with them. Due to a upbringing with a German Shepard, Raclaw is physically able to "speak" with him via dogspeak and the two have a formed a close bond. Chester almost always follows Raclaw and would do anything for his furry friend-- and the friends of his furry friend.

---

Name: Risar
Age: 39 (in human years)
Species: Minotaur
Good or evil: Good

Appearance: At a little over 7 feet tall, Risar displays your typical Minotaur features-- including a golden nose ring with 1½ links of chain attached to it. Beyond that-- he wears leather armor similar to, but not exactly like that of gladiator armor. He also wears a belt, which holds several pouches useful for carrying gold and other useful items.

Personally: Risar has a blunt personality at times, partly because of his inability to fully speak the common tongue. However, he has a fighting spirit and is not at all unintelligent. Due to his history, he has rather advanced tastebuds for someone of his race and former status-- and can accurately describe the flavor of wines and other fine drinks.

Weapons: Two greataxes adorn his back, each weighed in at 8 pounds and sized appropriately for someone of his strength.
Elements: n/a

History: At birth, Risar was separated from two other brothers (triplets) and sold off to a wealthy buyer. Upon being sold, he was implanted with the prominent golden nose ring that would only become harder to remove (if not impossible) as he developed. After many years of being used as a taste tester, bodyguard, and source of entertainment (read fighter)-- he eventually escaped with help of a merchant ship and eventually found himself being recruited in Redwater. He knows very little of his brothers; only that they were each implanted with a nose ring of different material. One was said to be implanted with a copper nose ring, while the other received a silver nose ring-- each material representing the "quality" and "usefulness" of the livestock.

#4 Posted: 20:23:01 17/10/2018
Name: Ilasi
Age: 24
Species: Merfolk
Good or evil: Good
Appearance: Ilasi is somewhat smaller in stature; however, the hard work she frequently does has definitely left her, at the very least, not looking scrawny. She can adapt between a tail form and a bipedal form; the latter takes longer to get into than the former. She has long, black hair, which she typically keeps bundled up when working.
Personality: Ilasi is generally patient and kind. She often doesn't voice her true feelings about things, or, if she does, does it as nonconfrontationally as possible. This can, in some instances, lead to some resentment, though she is generally good at not showing it. She is rather compliant, willing to go along with what she's told to do, and seeks to justify her own value. Despite all this, she is somewhat ambitious, looking to improve herself.
Weapons: Ilasi is not a trained fighter, but can, to some extent, use water magic to defend herself.
Elements: Ilasi has a growing roster of spells, most of them being water-based. The ones that aren't are generally linked to divination in some form.
History: Ilasi, having felt insufficient and pitied as a child, had long sought to improve her station, making it on her own and becoming as skilled in valuable trades as possible. To this end, she has taken on many jobs - though most of them weren't glamorous, they have, as a result of lack of supply of willing labor, been relatively well-paying, and have given her opportunity to improve her magic abilities via apprenticeships. Ilasi is no stranger to the horrors of war, but has never been engaged in any sort of battle herself.

Name: Laszur
Age: 27
Species: Galud
Good or evil: Whatever side the law is on is the side he is on.
Appearance: Laszur is around the size of the typical galud, with light beige skin and scaling. He is typically wearing blue wyvernhide armor, and what would appear to be a blindfold over his eyes in the day.
Personality: Highly analytical and focused, Laszur is more concerned with doing his job than receiving any sort of praise for it. He follows orders without question, and does not like to share his personal thoughts.
Weapons: A pike, tail barb, machete, and several lighter spears suited for throwing.
Elements: Light and dark magic
History: Laszur grew up in Aelinon, and has always been interested in the military on account of all of the recruiting attempts and other propaganda related to it. Having a natural gift for magic, he focused his pursuit on abilities which would maximize his stealthiness. This has given him a position as a member of the Silent Spear.

Name: Latnok
Age: 32
Species: Human
Good or evil: Good
Appearance: A little over 6 feet tall, his skin has turned brownish-black, as a result of the Draconic Ascension ritual performed to grant him more power. This also left two burn scars around his eyes, like it did for others who have performed it. His body is covered in many scars as a result of his confidence in his combat abilities and willingness to cut it close. Generally, most of his features cannot be seen while he's under his green dragonhide armor, which covers him from head to toe and leaves him faceless.
Personality: Strong-willed and uncompromising, Latnok places high importance in working towards mission accomplishment. Though he tends to be quite pleasant to those he likes and respects, he lacks empathy for and can be severely harsh to those he doesn't like. He is highly pragmatic, often to a fault, and only shows mercy in combat when he wants to capture his enemy.
Weapons: Latnok's primary weapons are his bow, made of living wood from the Tree of Vitality, and his axe, made of phoenix steel. He is proficient in most other weapons usable by humans, however, and can fight effectively at close range without a weapon by using strikes amplified by force magic.
Elements: Though Latnok can use several basic elements for mundane tasks, he is not combat proficient with any of them. Instead, he relies on a form of magic utilized by the Ardent Guardians in combat known as force magic, which works by modifying and redirecting kinetic force. His arrows can be charged with various spells. Like most experienced Guardians, he can use combat prescience to predict offensive and defensive maneuvers by his foes.
History: Latnok ran away from home at a young age to spare his mother the burden of having to care for him. He moved to a city where he lived as a street urchin, mainly surviving by hunting and doing odd jobs. At one point, someone attempted to kidnap him, but he ended up killing the kidnapper with a hunting knife on his person. Hunting was Latnok's most significant skill, and a chance encounter led to him joining the Ardent Guardians. His unwillingness to kill led to the deaths of two fellow Guardians, a fact which drives his complete lack of mercy or sympathy to enemies. He left the Ardent Guardians briefly due to differences in preferred methodology, but rejoined after learning of a dire threat following his encounter with Shade.
During his time in that mission, he had begun to grow somewhat of a bond with the fur dragon Raclaw - a former pet, a project of the Ardent Guardians in facilitating the coexistence of humans and dragons, now turned free dragon.

Name: Leoquin
Age: 25
Species: Merfolk
Appearance: Leoquin is about the height of an average man, with a lithe build. Depending on his environment, he can adapt between a tail form and a bipedal form, though it's far quicker to transform to the former than the latter.
Good or evil: Good
Personality: Leoquin is generally amicable. However, while he often has the right idea of things he definitely should not say, he tends to have poorer wording on other things on account of his tendency to say the first thing that comes to his mind, which can be interpreted as rude to the uninitiated. He also will make no effort to hide his disdain for others - unless they are his superior.
Weapons: Leoquin is most comfortable with spear-type weapons, as they are relatively easy to use underwater, though he has some knowledge of other kinds of weapons.
Elements: Leoquin knows a few water spells, mostly to help with his fishing.
History: Ever since a fateful day, Leoquin has been hard at work honing his seamanship skills, to make himself more useful to any potential crew he might join. In addition to combat, he has knowledge on many facets of running a ship and guiding a journey, including navigation and cartography.

#5 Posted: 20:29:34 17/10/2018
Name: Sere
Age: 122
Species: Human
Good or evil: Good
Appearance: Sere stand at about 7 feet tall. Like Latnok, his skin has changed to be blackish-brown, and his eyes have two burn scars around them. He shows signs of his old age, but lacks any of the frailty typically associated with it. He has scars from his many battles, but not nearly as many as Latnok, on account of being a much more conservative fighter. He is generally seen in his armor composed of red dragonhide, which covers him from head to toe, and leaves him faceless.
Personality: Sere is a ma who, though he has strong ideals, recognizes that hard, unpleasant choices often have to be made to achieve them. Nevertheless, he does not stop striving for them, even when other Guardians disagree with him. He has unshakable faith in humanity, and looks to better his fellow men whenever he has the opportunity to. As Godfather of the Ardent Guardians, he is in charge of the general direction of the group - but always emphasizes the need to leave no one behind, and personally attends to the death of every Guardian.
Weapons: Though Sere's preferred choice of weaponry are generally polearms, he also wields Grimbane, a mystical sword which fell into possession of the Ardent Guardians some time not too long after their founding. Grimbane, requiring high proficiency in both light and dark magic, amplifies the user's capabilities with them, and draws power from the user's resolve to do whatever they have to do to reach the ideal. Like Latnok and every other Guardian, he is still deadly in close quarters even without a weapon.
Elements: Sere knows many spells of most basic elements - he uses light and dark magic in combat to deadly effect, with them complimenting each other and allowing him to strike at opponents from almost every angle. Like most trained Guardians, he can use combat prescience to predict offensive and defensive maneuvers by his foes.
History: Sere joined the Ardent Guardians over a century ago. After a horrific battle with the massive black dragon Shiavara, Sere realized how horrific it was to keep losing people to ill planning, and vowed to find a way to protect as many people as possible. His research into several forms of defensive magic have not only kept him alive, but have allowed him to outlive other Guardians who he would be in competition for in rank. Such tenacity eventually led him to his position today, where he has been able to enact many sweeping policies which have drastically extended the life expectancy of a Guardian.

Name: Veris
Age: 20
Species: Wyvern
Good or evil: Good (if only incidentally.)
Appearance: Veris is a large wyvern, covered in a mix of black and dark blue scales. His tail has calcification at the end which allows him to use it as a weapon.
Personality: Veris is highly obedient to most Guardians, especially Sere, as a result of his training. He is highly gluttonous, a vestige of his wild nature.
Weapons: Veris wields his claws, fangs, and tail as weapons, and is often supplemented by whatever his rider wields.
Elements: None
History: Veris is considered a shining example of wyvern breeding, having an ideal mix of strength, stamina, size, intelligence, and coloration. For this reason, he is the Godfather's personal mount.

OOC: Here I am, raring to go smilie

Name: Angora
Age: 22 (human years)
Species: Troll
Good or Evil: Good (tries)
Appearance: http://photobucket.com/gallery...2LmpwZw==/?ref= Stands only 2'3 feet tall due to a genetic anomaly. Most of her species are five to seven feet tall. Unlike them, she has hair on her head and wears plain robes to cover her appearance. Has a cape tied to the magic orb that was once in the staff she carried around in the past. Has a poisonous knife that Dex gifted her in Redwater, which she keeps it hidden in a secret pocket and hopes to never needing to use it. Her most used weapon is a wyvern fang that Veris gifted her, converted into a knife carried around her neck.
Personality: A cranky troll that usually hides her constant heartache behind a hardcore personality, but growing tired of this façade. Lacks the bloodlust most of her kind has, and prefers to solve matters peacefully. Can be quite violent and merciless if forced into it however. Can also be selfish, rude and sometimes hostile, but deep inside, she's very noble and kind hearted, even though she tends hide it and bear grudges. Children and certain animals tend to like her, and even though she tries to push them away, she's becoming more patient with them. Tends to offend people without realizing it, though is too proud to ask forgiveness. She shows her kindest side to Maverick and Shade, her only true friends, and can show a soft side to smart children and those that are in most needs.
Weapon: Armor, Sword, Shield (when Neo activates them) a wyvern fang turned into a knife and a poisonous dagger.
Element: Whatever her magic can conjure. Currently learning more.
History: A former thief that successfully destroyed the Darkmatter that was threatening to end the world. Has the spirit Neo permanently inside her, helping her with her magic and giving her advice on occasion. Has a history at sea, but remembers little about it. She encountered her former crewmate and friend Maverick, with whom she restored her friendship and together with Shade travelled for a while until the dragolet's powers began to grow out of control, which caused them to be imprisoned several times under Aelinon law. Was forced to fight in the Redwater arena, where both she and a Shade survived. Was once kidnapped by the evil dragon Blue, until rescued by Shade. Thanks to Maverick insistence and appeal, they are currently traveling the big ship under the Guardian's rules, where she intends to help Shade with his growing powers as well as to gain experience and learn to control her volatile temper.

Name: Maverick "Malo" Blakes
Age: 29
Species: Human with fawn ancestry
Good or Evil: Good
Appearance: A slender, handsome, muscular young man with reddish brown hair, slightly tan skin and dark brown eyes. Due to his fawn heritage, his arms and legs have more hair than a normal human being. He doesn't have goat like legs like some of his ancestors, instead, they are perfectly human shaped. Wears a black shirt with torn sleeves and a small skull in it's chest, dark brown pants, leather boots and a small, gold medallion he keeps hidden under his shirt, which protects him from magic meant to hurt him. He also possesses a hyperspace bag where he can store almost anything no matter the size. He also speaks with a Spanish accent and sometimes uses Spanish words as well.
Personality: Maverick is an optimistic, childish man that is easily impressed, and no matter how ugly things get, he always tries his best to look at the positive side. Even though he is aware how dangerous the world can be, he still moves forward, thinking of a better tomorrow. He also likes to see the good in everyone, whether human or otherwise. He loves animals, being half vegetarian, fish being the only meat in his diet, though he tends to be very afraid of large predators. He also attracts women, though he never manages to be in a stable relationship. Currently has a small crush on the mermaid Ilasi, though he wants to keep it hidden at all costs to avoid both of them a heartbreak. Despite not liking the way he, Shade and Angora are being treated, he is learning to be the most tolerant of it and intends to amend the mistakes he made on his journey.
Weapons: A single metal shield plus a variety of weapons kept in his hyperspace bag that belonged to the mugger that almost killed him in Orcford. He doesn't want to hurt anybody unless given no other choice.
Element: n/a
History: He's a former pirate whose father, Captain Armon Blakes, terrorized the sea, stealing every treasure he could find and mercilessly killing anybody who opposed him. He raised the kid with an iron fist, determined to make him as dastard as him. Seven years ago, Maverick met Angora when his father requested a new buccaneer. She pretended to be a deformed goblin. The troll swapped the deck, washed clothes and prepared the meals. She would usually steal treasure and cause mutiny, and Maverick would always come to her defense. Despite getting into her wrong side and being mistreated, Maverick eventually managed to warm her up, forming a near sibling type of relationship, turning Angora into the moody yet civilized, confrontation hating troll she is today. A year later, she left the crew after getting tired of her job, and months later, the ship was sunk by a storm, leaving Maverick as the only, unexplained survivor. Despite reaching land and losing the life he knew, the man recovered and became a traveling merchant, where a reclusive wizard gifted him his special, hyperspace bag as a reward for turning over a new leaf. After finding out about the Guardians and their goal in his travels, it became his dream to become one for a while until learning about their harsh methods and ideals. He travelled for Angora and Shade for a while until their troubles in Aelinon led to the chain of events that forced them into helping the dragolet have better control of his powers and prompting him and his family to travel on the ship as additional crewmates. His goal now is to help Shade with his powers and make Angora's journey easier and the insults of the crewmates less painful.
Other: His fawn ancestry takes back more than five hundred years ago, in a time where human conquistadores took fawn territory and nearly draw them to extinction until a small group took pity on them and helped the fawn fight back, eventually winning the battle and creating a society of their own, having both pure and hybrid offsprings.

Name: Dahlia

Species: Dirt Buffalo
Good or Evil: Good
Appearance: Has the hair and form of a musk ox, but the head and horns of a bison. Her fur is a deep dark brown with a very hard skin and bluish black eyes.
Personality: A rash and short tempered animal who tends to be vengeful, but can thankfully be controlled by her owner or when realizing that the situation is out of her control. She is deeply loyal to Maverick, though tends to be very annoyed by him. Finds Angora a minor nuisance, but her loyalty can extend to her as well. Has tremendous empathy for others, even if she's afraid of wary of them. She follows him everywhere, no matter how terrified she is.

Name: Dex
Age: 25 (human years)
Species: Fox
Good or evil: Neutral (more in the good side now)
Appearance: Normal looking fox, just bigger (wolf size). Has poisonous fangs (Snake style) which can be clearly seen when he opens his mouth.

Personality: Very tricky, always thinking about himself. Most of the time likes to play nice and look weak. When the opportunity comes loves to stab in the back, especially when making deals (loves everything valuable). Never wants to fight head-to-head, because of not having much physical power. Normally likes to talk, but because of the group knowing him now does not want to do that much.

Weapons: (optional) His only, but a deadly weapon is his poisonous fangs. Those fangs go through almost everything. He can control the poison so that it does not kill, but does make his enemies paralyze and have great pains if he wants/needs to.
Elements: (optional) No really elements, but is immune to poisons because of his own poison in his veins.

History: Dex was born in normal fox den. As he was young he did end up bitten by poisonous snake. His parrents left him being sure he was going to die. He was found and taken care by old man. The poison did make him grow bigger and have the poison fangs. The man knew there was something odd about the fox, but being an old adventurer he was not sure, was Dex just a new species he had never seen. After the man died Dex started to look after himself. He noticed his poisoneus blood while being in forrests and seeing bloodsucking bugs instatly dying after taking his blood. He made his way back to city life after feeling not at home in forrests. He started to steal food, but also valuables. Once he was almost captured and bite a human who died almost instantly. After that he started to make deals with all kinds of creatures which wanted someone dead or something stole. These days he is taking only very well paid jobs, and knows how to deal with many kinds of situations. Many do not know him well, because of his way to work. But Well know as the poison assassin especially in the underworld of Cities. He attacked the group while working for Shade (when he was controlled). Is not sure what he should do now, does not want to interact with the group much, but is starting to show some little signs of caring.

ame: Blue
Age : Unkonwn, but he is pretty young for a dragon
Gender: Male
Species: Dragon
Good or evil: Evil (Not in a special way, but his ways are not suited for anything other.)
Appearance: Pretty small for a dragon, dark Blue all over with emerald green eyes.
Personality: Simply nasty. He has no soft thoughts with anybody (exept his own order) and could even be said to like killing. Likes to make see others suffer. But he is good at pretending to be nice if needed to.
Weapons: He is not a good melee fighter. But can do pretty much anything with water. Is especially strong when around a large amount of water.
Elements: Water
History: Not much is known about him, but he is an assassin and the leader of the brotherhood of assassins. It is thought that he was part of dragons living normally like they did to day and had a family. But as soon as he could he did leave them and started to live the way he wants.

Name: Sapphire
Age : 20 (human years)
Species: Fox
Gender: Female
Good or evil: Neutral (Even more close to good then Dex)
Personality: Mostly pretty nice. But has no problem to kill others without pity. Likes to look cool, but likes also to look beutiful. Loves when somebody praises her appereance.
Weapons: Her talent (which She was born with) is the fact that She can make anybody unable to move at all if they look at her eyes. She can also choose not to do that when Even if somebody looks at her eyes.
History: She was born as a normal fox. But because of somekind of special talent became bigger and smarter. She had to leave her normal fox live because her family thought She was too dangerous, and told her to leave. After that she was a pet for a human family never making any use of her ability. Untill her family was attacked by Blue and the brotherhood. She was trying to fight them and that made Blue interested about her so he took her with him. After sometime Blue managed to make her believe that both her fox and human families where bad for her and the only family that could understand her was the brotherhood. Blue told her about Dex to give her something to feel like her. After that She wanted to become a great assassin like Dex. She tought Dex has a great exampel how great special foxes like them can become. One of the big reasons for Blue to take her in was to make Dex finally feel somebody was like him, he thought that would make Dex leave the League and join the brotherhood. After all that had happen Dex and Sapphire are now working together and Blue is only after the two because he wants to kill them.

You can never be too prepared.
Sere was a man on a mission - he intended to reach Falcon's Beak, an archipelago, find out more about the fate of one of his men - Adjudicator Julian - and the parents of a fur dragon with his group - Raclaw. Though his crew had won their first battle decisively, there would almost certainly be more ahead of them. And he wanted every edge he could get.
On the back of his mount, the wyvern Veris, Sere neared his destination - a clear patch of land in the central island. He sought to ask the people of the island about acquiring ballistae. Ideally, they could be disassembled and reassembled as needed, allowing for use both at sea and on land. He wondered how many of his crew had ballista experience. He knew that at least one - Latnok, a fellow member of the Ardent Guardians - did. He himself did as well - in his old age, there were very few weapons he had never used in any form.
"Veris, descend." The wyvern obeyed, beginning to come nearer to the ground. As he lowered, he used his wings to slow his descent. When Veris landed, Sere dismounted - there were already islanders there, having spotted his approach.
"Captain Sere. Once again, we thank you," one of them said. "We are in your debt. What brings you here?"
"I need ballistae. Two of them. Are you able to produce them? I will pay adequately." Even though he came prepared with money, the loot his crew pulled from the enemy was more than enough to get them what they needed.
"We do," another islander said. "We were, in fact, getting them set up during the attack - your men finished the job before we needed to. We could produce some for you. When do you need them?"
"As soon as possible. We will be here for a few days - we set out once that is done."
"We'll see about getting it done."
"Thank you." Just one more tool for having the upper hand. You could never have too many. Sere hadn't stayed alive for over a century by not preparing. He would see this mission through - and he intended to come home, with as many of the men as he could. Unfortunately, fatalities could not be avoided - however, what was important was to make the sacrifices count. He would never throw away men in vain - but to defend the innocent, and wipe out a band of pirates who had no doubt terrorized the seas for a long time? The cost was worth it.

As Godfather Sere took off on Veris and Latnok returned to his room-- that left Raclaw, Chester, and the others still on the main deck. Risar was still up on deck as were certain others such the usually berated Angora and the calmer Maverick. And although Raclaw had usually been seen together with both Latnok and Chester, the fur dragon was his own dragon-- despite the rumors that said otherwise. He gave a simple nod to the Guardian as he departed and remained on deck; he looked very dirty next to the now clean albeit slightly wet Chester. Besides Maverick, some of the other sailors gave him some love as well-- something which he happily absorbed. The little Beagle had been very grateful to be found by Latnok and his Guardian companions, having received some less desirable attention prior to that precious moment. He even had a small scar or two, although only Raclaw knew where to look for them. The two briefly discussed something in dogspeak via a mixture of barks, whines, and other dog-like noises. This unique ability was odd to say the least and only brought about even more unique rumors. Some rumors suggested that Raclaw was part dog, while others suggested that he was merely raised like a dog-- something that was a bit closer to the truth. For better or worse, he couldn't help but overhear these rumors; his telepathy made sure of that.

Raclaw gave a slight smile as some of the crewmates gave Chester some love and walked around the deck of the ship, perhaps merely getting some exercise. The little Beagle happily followed and barked something, of which only the fur dragon could understand.

At Shade's spot on the main deck, human and fawn hybrid Maverick was playing a board game with the dragolet. There wasn't many of them, and this game was a strange one, so after reading the instructions to Shade, Maverick could see it wasn't hard to follow. He moved the pieces for the dragolet to prevent them from being infected with the hexphage currently surrounding him, occasionally watching Angora as well, who was on the port watching the seagulls as her friend spent some quality time with Shade himself. As she did that, she suddenly watched two birds fighting over a fish and found the spectacle entertaining. She followed the flying birds along the ship, being very careful with not to crash with anybody and risk infecting them with the fungus.

But then one of the birds quickly won so Angora annoyedly returned to the same spot as before... but not before passing besides the hardworking mermaid Ilasi. Her chore was almost done, but as Angora passed, she glanced at her. However, there was no anger in her face whatsoever. Just sadness. And maybe some... disappointment? Whatever it was, it was a clear change from Angora's usual behavior towards her. After passing besides her without saying anything, the little troll suddenly became bored, and with Latnok away and probably sleeping plus the hexphage draining off her magic, Angora knew that there would be no training for her in a long while, so wanting something to do, Angora began to construct a swing so she could use it to get below the side of the ship and voluntarily scrape off the barnacles off it. It was Maverick's father's favorite chore for her when she was part of his crew, so it was a task she was very familiar with. As she did the construction, Angora had much to ponder about. Why did it went so wrong for them? What happened in Redwater? What did she say that was so awful? And what did Ilasi told Sere that made him have such a villainous attitude with her that extended even to the innocent Maverick? What made him change his mind so harshly back then when he was already willing to give them a chance?

It didn't take long for Sere to return from his errand. Before long, Veris was on the deck, with men making sure to clear the way for his landing.
Veris, in a much happier mood after being let out for a flight, lowered himself, allowing Sere to dismount. Sere once again looked around - Angora with the hexphage. He would have to limit her contact with other sailors, which could potentially spread it. That would mean certain chores were off-limit - but that got him thinking...
"Why did you knowingly get yourself infected with hexphage? Was it because you wanted to shirk chores?" Angora had proven herself to be rather duplicitous and selfish, and it was something he definitely wouldn't put past her. As long as the person wasn't Maverick or Shade, she apparently didn't care a shred about them. He had let her and Maverick on the ship, after an appeal from Maverick, to see if they truly could change, and potentially become allies again; so far, they hadn't done anything blatantly wrong, but he was keeping an eye on them nonetheless.

Ilasi was relaxing after a bit of work, thinking of the days ahead. Leoquin, she learned, was on a mission to find... something. What, he didn't tell her. She hoped that he would find what he was looking for; she wasn't looking for much herself, only wanting some pay and an opportunity to further her magic; the former was provided for by the contract, and Latnok was voluntarily partaking in the latter.
He had initially had Angora with the magic lessons, but she disrespected him during them; he decided not to bother with her, and instead had Leoquin throw her on whatever chore he pleased. Now that Angora had gotten hexphage, it would be impossible for her to use her magic; did she do it deliberately, so she wouldn't have to practice? From what Ilasi knew, Latnok was the one who had gotten Angora to realize her potential for magic; with how she acted, she was wondering how he even managed, especially considering he didn't have the authority he did on the ship.
Ilasi had feelings for Maverick; however, she was somewhat unsure of herself now. Maverick had apparently dedicated his life to Angora, who had proven to detest her, making every effort to refuse to acknowledge her presence. Why would she want someone who would only treat her as secondary to someone else? Leoquin, meanwhile, was very pleasant to talk to; there was at least a friendship budding between the two...

Raclaw and Chester continued to walk the deck discussing... something. Based off the tones, pitches, and variations in their 'speech'-- Raclaw was ether hesitant or less-than-thrilled about an unknown subject. Chester, on the other hand, seeming more enthusiastic it with his tones reflecting as such. "Come on Raclaw-- it'll be fun. You said it yourself and I held my end of the bargain. I'm sure-- oh.. how about there?," Chester barked gesturing towards a certain side of the ship visible through the railing. The little Beagle was determined to see his furry friend actually do an cannonball-- or the best dragon equivalent of one. Raclaw looked down at what seemed to be a clear shot, railing beside. However, that didn't matter too much seeing as this barking fluffy creature had wings. Being an fur dragon who could bark was one big oxymoron and made for some ironic funny scenes. "You really want to see this, don't you?," Raclaw asked with a playful smile looking at Chester. "Well-- you promised the Beagle. Now it's time to pay the piper.," the voice of Damon could heard in his head and over the links. "Fine, but I'm only doing this for your entertainment. I hope you know this.," Raclaw said hiding his fear behind another playful smile. Most of the crew was otherwise distracted when Raclaw started to fly up and hover...

When Sere spoke to her telepathically, Angora grasped the rope she was holding tightly in order to take her brief anger out on it and avoid manifesting it to Sere. After finally calming down, she spoke.
"I watched over Shade. He needed company and some cleaning, so I had no choice but to get into contact with him and risk this infection in order to accomplish that objective." Angora answered calmly, knowing that trying to respond telepathically in that condition would've been hard next to impossible. How predictable it was that he thought she contracted the hexphage purposely in order to avoid chores. Just when she thought she made it clear how much she hated that fungus and the hell she went through when she had it in the Redwater. It was becoming clear to her that the chances of Sere giving him a cure were low, so she knew she had to live with the decision of being in contact with Shade that night and morning.

As Maverick played with Shade, he could see from his position Sere talking to Angora. It was impossible to ignore the old Guardian's arrival with the mighty Veris announcing his presence like that. He couldn't hear what they were talking about, but he was keeping a close watch himself nonetheless. She knew how hard this all was for Angora, spending time with many people that were making her life quite miserable.

Sere gave Angora a long stare as he thought of the situation. Finally, he made his decision. "Very well. If that is your decision, then you will have the fungus for as long as Shade does. You will avoid the kitchen; Maverick will bring you your food, and handle chores involving it on your behalf. Don't think you'll be getting out of work; I will have plenty more for you to do." Sere knew how Angora really wanted to respond; however, she was showing restraint, something he noted - it would seem that his rather draconian conditions were leading to the desired result.
Angora wasn't the only one on the ship who needed monitoring, however. "Risar - how have the prisoners been? Anything to report about them?" The minotaur had proven himself to be capable of taking on a leadership role. Sere had initially figured that his rather large stature would give him the imposing figure that would encourage men to follow him. Risar had risen to the challenge, being effective at the role he was assigned - perhaps one who has followed another for so long learned enough from the master to become a leader himself.

As Raclaw flew up just enough into the air and hovered in place-- he soon spotted the mighty Veris and Sere prusumily coming back from his debriefing with the islanders. "Oh-- you're not getting out of this one, my furry friend.," Damon soon said knowing that the reluctant fur dragon might use Sere as an excuse. "You just...," Raclaw said via the links getting interrupted. "I encourage you to try new things. Who knows, maybe a good spash is what it'll take to get past some of those fears of yours.," Damon instantly responding cutting his host off in the process. "Just.. just do it.," Damon said again as Raclaw moved into position. As the fur dragon shifted his position in the air to just over the railing of the ship-- Risar noticed and watched with interest. 'Just what was the fur dragon doing? And why was the dog so intensely watching?,' he briefly thought before Sare began to approach him.

Raclaw hovered and moved his position in the air to just over the water itself, constricted his legs and tail to the best of his ability, and formed what almost looked like a dragon attempting a cannonball. Just than-- Raclaw tucked in his wings and instantly dropped right into the water. As he dropped, he did the best impression he could causing his slender body to go into a slight roll and impact the water with a large dragon-sized splash. Chester watched with great interest-- in awe, shock, and amazement at actually seeing a fur dragon do a cannonball. 'Cold, cold, cold... why did I agree to do this again?!,' Raclaw thought upon making impact and shivering in the cold water.

Meanwhile, Risar turned his attention towards Sere--

"He's still alive-- just a tad more hungry and very much compliant now.," Risar than clarified implying that he had ether cut the prisoner's rations or starved him completely albeit briefly. He found a certain pride in commanding others and ensuring of their compliance, perhaps satisfaction derived from having been forced under compliance himself for so much of his life. All seemed to be well with the prisoners, at least for the time being.

Angora remained with a neutral expression as Sere spoke, showing she had more control of her real emotions. As always, Sere was too predictable. She knew he wasn't going to give her that cure, but after thinking for a while, she believed it was probably for the better. It was very hard to have Latnok as a teacher, so perhaps not taking any classes with him wasn't such a bad idea. However, it didn't make her any less frustrated. Sere was seeing for herself how she was constructing something, working under her own free will for a change, yet he antagonistically refused to acknowledge that. It didn't matter now. She was going to keep working, whether it was voluntarily or an order, and better yet, since she was going to have the hexphage anyway, she would be able to have more contact with him and give him the companionship he needed. She felt bad for Maverick, but at least for now, he had Alya, and with his sweet nature, she didn't doubt he would win over a few members of the crew.

Sere nodded. "Wonderful. I'll let you handle them for now; put them to whatever you feel needs doing. I'll decide what to do with them when we get a better feel for what they're like - see if they're worth keeping around." Sere would let the prisoners use their imagination in regards to what he meant by the last part. "Remember that these men were scum who worked to steal from and kill people. Show them as much kindness as you think they deserve. If they don't want to be here, feel free to hand them to the locals."
Though Sere wasn't typically a cruel man, he had no sympathy for thugs and murderers. Regardless of whether they were human or not, they were as much a danger as any other monster, and he would treat them as such. There was no sense killing them yet, though; much like Angora and Maverick, he would give them a chance to atone, though they would certainly have their work cut out for them.

Ignoring Sere, and pretty much everyone else too, Angora finished the swing, and then tied it to one of the poles on the side of the ship and used it to sit on the side of the ship to remove the barnacles of the great voyage with her own, bare hand. If only their idiot captain could see how she was finally doing work without anyone ordering her around for once, then maybe finally he could stop with this absurd antagonism. Angora was really trying hard to make herself useful and fix the reputitation she had, but Sere, Latnok, and even the meddling, abusive Leoquin were making it impossible for her. She was wrongfully imprisoned twice, kidnapped by a sadistic dragon, forced to fight in a deadly arena, and now she was being treated like a vulgar slave in some giant ship, yet all the suffering wasn't enough for that pair. When will the pain stop? When she will finally start being treated with some love and respect? Angora couldn't help but to sob as she removed the barnacles, biting her lips to try and prevent her crying from being audible, but it was so hard. As she watched the hexphage, she was starting to think that she would've been better off letting herself get eaten by that behemoth so that she could finally be out of her misery and at the same time let Maverick had the descent, happy life he was denying himself for taking care of her.

When Angora descended from the side of the ship, Maverick could barely believe what he was seeing. She wasn't going to do... that, was she? She hated that task, but perhaps she was ordered to? Was that what she and Sere was talking about? Even though he wanted to say something, he knew it was a losing battle in the end. Before Maverick returned to the ship, he watched it's side and could see it barely had any barnacles, so at least it was a chore that wasn't going to take Angora too long. Unaware of her sadness, he continued o,aging, already beating Shade three times. He started to wonder if he was letting him win or purpose or if he was truly bad at this game...

"Understood Godfather.," Risar simply responded with a rather large grin. As he spoke, air blew out of his nostrils and caused the hanging 1½ links to chain to rattle ever so slightly. Despite what they represented-- they only served to add to his large intimidating presence on the ship. And no-one, nether crew nor prisoner, dared asked about them. Unlike some minotaurs that had been his position, he wasn't ashamed of his past and had learned almost everything he knew from his old master. The past was the past though; he was his own minotaur now and he would ensure that these prisoners would get what they deserved.

Meanwhile, Raclaw started to fly up and out of the water-- now very cold, very wet, and much much cleaner. As he flew up, Chester continued to watch with interest. "You.. you did it! You actually did it!.," the little Beagle barked in amazement. "I told you I would!," Raclaw said hovering alongside the ship and looking up at Chester with a grin. Water dripped from his feathery wings as he flew up and some leftover mud dripped off into the ocean below.

Leoquin came on deck, having nothing in particular to do, but not quite feeling like visiting the islanders. It didn't take long for him to notice the hexphage infection on her. What an idiot...
Soon, she descended out of sight - getting at a different angle, it appeared that she was cleaning barnacles, no doubt on Sere's orders. At least she wouldn't be getting off easy - he certainly wouldn't want to touch her.
Meanwhile, Maverick was playing with Shade - at least he had the common sense to a oid touching him, as far as he could see, anyway. There wasn't anything for him to do at the moment, so Leoquin had no reason to bother him.
Leoquin, seeking to while away the time a bit, approached the most relatable person on board - Ilasi. "Hey, Ilasi. So what are your plans for today?"
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe go for a little swim. Practicing some magic, most certainly. How about you?"
"I'm probably going to go fishing. Maybe actually try to lure a shark." Leoquin had gone shark hunting before - though it was thrilling, one would need multiple mermen to actually carry the creature in order to cook it.
"You know how I feel about sharks... Don't do anything too rash, now. I'm busy enough as it is... usually, anyway."
"Sure thing. I'll be careful. You have fun, and make sure not to touch the princess over there."
Ilasi let out a soft giggle - she felt just a little guilty about it afterward, but reminded herself that Angora despised her.

Even though Angora was quite below, she had a keen sense of hearing, and could hear to Ilasi and Leoquin's conversation. That mermen punk felt he had every right to insult her and give her nicknames, no doubt due to the freedom and favoritism Sere and Latnok gave him. And Ilasi actually had the insolence of laugh at her misfortune and Leoquin's bad joke about her. What was even worse was that nobody was acknowledging that this cleaning was her own free will rather than an order.
"What are they trying to do? Break me up to the point I wouldn't want to live anymore?" Angora asked herself in her mind, continuing to bite her lip to prevent her sobbing from being audible. This ordeal was even worse that all the insults Latnok gave to her back in those caves. Even knowing she had enough stress with destroying a world destroying monster, he still insulted her to no end, and once she finally succeeded, her life got even worse. Nobody cared that many of them were most likely still alive for her deed, but of course, blaming and taking everything out of the ugly little troll was always easier. When will this hellish nightmare end? The only thing that was keeping her sanity was Maverick. That perfect angel who has been the only one gentle and patient enough to tolerate her and making her feel special. Even if it meant a bad reputation himself, he always defended her, and Ilasi had the galls to insult him back in Redwater. Her loss. She thanked the heavens for sending her Maverick again, to keep her sanity and hopes up... just like she has done for him all those years ago.

As some time passed, and Sere retreated back inside the ship, Latnok eventually came out - somewhat rejuvenated after his nap. He was clad in the dirty armor - that would soon change, however.
"Hello, Latnok," Ilasi greeted. "How was your rest?"
"It was refreshing - but I'm up for a bit of a swim."
"Swim? I was planning to have one myself... how about a bit of a race?"
"Yeah... I think I'll have to decline on that offer," Latnok said. "I know my limits, even if I do push them." As Latnok approached the railing, he noticed Angora off the starboard side of the ship - removing barnacles from the ship. "Who put her up to that?"
"My guess is Captain Sere, but I don't know," Leoquin, who was present nearby, answered. "Beats touching anyone."
"Hmm..." Latnok, with no further knowledge on the subject, had nothing else to say, but left Angora to her task. Instead, he ran over the railing, diving straight into the water, unaware that Raclaw just did something very similar. As it hit him, so did the chill, though he quickly grew tolerant of it. After a few seconds, he surfaced.
It had been a while since he last swam recreationally - without too much to do at the moment but wait, he would brush up on his swimming. He would most certainly need it, considering their environment. With some movement, and some heating, he would be able to get most of the dirt off during his swim.

Angora was finished with one side of the ship by the time Latnok woke up. It was already past noon, so after finishing the starboard, Angora lifted herself to the ship and taking her swing, she made her way to port, as usual, ignoring everybody present. She noticed Latnok was awake, but she simply did a small hand wave in greeting and then headed to port, giving a very warm smile to Maverick as she passed him. It was no mysery he and Shade were the only individuals Angora genuinely liked.
"Hey Angorita. Keep up the good work. By the way, watch Oscurito for a while." Maverick asked gently, with Angora obliging to his request. His stomach then rumbled, and he was already bored with the same game, so he prepared to head to the kitchen for some food.
"Well Oscurito, I think we have enough of this. Want a snack? Give me a few minutes to get you something, and a brand new game. The day is still young." Maverick said as he put the game away and headed to the stairs when he spotted Latnok.
"Oh hey señor Latnok. Pleasant nap I see. Good afternoon." Maverick greeted politely, returning to his old, kind, and rather goofy self at last. He still didn't like Latnok or Sere, or even the very rude Leoquin, but he wasn't going to let their harshness and abuse of power spoil his good nature. Thanks to Alya, he has returned to his original persona, encouraging Angora and taking his current task very seriously, although being his smiling, courteous self just like when the Guardians met him.

"I think you left a spot-- I didn't get out of the bath that easily.," Chester half-joked looking down at the hovering Raclaw. "And besides, you're on a ship. You might want to get used to it, less you find yourself in a situation where flying alone isn't an option.," the ever helpful Damon encouraged prompting Raclaw to go back into the water. The once alive collar entity seemed to be enjoying Raclaw's suffering just a little too much. "You know-- the water's not half bad.," Raclaw responded to Chester with a partly false smile. Indeed-- he hadn't gotten all the grim off with that initial dip and the poor fur dragon would have to go for a little swim to get completely clean, just as Chester had to go through quite the bath to become the shiny clean Beagle he was now. As Raclaw remained in the water, he slowly adjusted and the next thing he knew...

"It looks like you're not the only one going for a swim today-- heads up.," the voice of Damon could be heard as Latnok soon dived into the water not that far away from where Raclaw had done a cannonball. Doing the best swim an inexperienced fur dragon could muster, Raclaw made his way over to where Latnok had surfaced. "Hey Latnok, going for a swim I see. Had to get clean somehow.," he said still slightly shivering from the water and not entirely used to it. Chester watched their interaction from above, not having much else to do. Elsewhere, Risar watched the waves and noticed the swimming duo. 'Huh-- a swimming fur dragon.,' he thought to himself.

"Good afternoon, Mav," Latnok returned pleasantly to Maverick. With the recent battle out of the way, there was nothing to bring his thoughts to Maverick's views on him and Sere. "Are you going to join me?"
Speaking of joining, Latnok was too focused on his own swimming to notice Raclaw coming, until the fur dragon spoke to him. "Oh, Raclaw! I see we had the same idea. The water's fine, isn't it?" Raclaw's swimming betrayed his inexperience - Latnok didn't really know how to teach a fur dragon to swim. "Considering the archipelago, I figured I might as well get used to the environment. If we-"
At that moment, Leoquin unceremoniously dived into the water, with as big a splash as he could make, his form shifting. "Oh, hey there! I didn't even notice you guys!" Leoquin said - obviously being facetious.
"Well, be careful, I might not notice you during my next round of magic training!" Latnok retorted. The two chuckled at the exchange, before being interrupted by yet another diver - Ilasi. Unlike Leoquin, Ilasi dived into the water more gracefully, making as small a splash as possible, as her form shifted.
"Hey... I figured I might as well join everyone," Ilasi said, smiling. "Are you still sure about not wanting to race?"
"Still pretty sure," Latnok said. "Wouldn't want you to get too tired, after all the hard work you've been putting in." Ilasi did her best to hide a blush at the compliment.

"Hey Mav! You should join us-- the water's fine!," Raclaw said looking up and inviting the hybrid. He gave a smile at Latnok and the others joining; it was obvious that the fur dragon was inexperienced but not completely incapable ether. "Well-- Hello Latnok.," the voice of Damon could be heard over the links. "You just missed our favorite fur dragon doing a cannonball. You could say that he kind of promised it in order to entice a certain Beagle into a bath.," Damon then said over the links clearly audible to Latnok. "Hey, it worked.," Reclaw responded over the links and motioned up towards where Chester was watching. Risar watched from not that far away, as if acting like some sort of horned heavily armed lifeguard.

Maverick covered his mouth to prevent Raclaw from seeing him laughing at the prospect of him all wet. After his little chuckle, and grateful to the fur dragon improving his mood even further, Maverick proceeded to answer Latnok.
"Not today señor Latnok. But thanks anyway. You too señor Raclaw. I'm going to the kitchen to get some food for me and Osc... Shade. If somebody wants something, let me know. I'm going there anyway." Maverick said kindly, wanting to take advantage of the journey. His mood somewhat changed when he saw Ilasi diving gracefully not so far from there. He had to look away to prevent himself from staring like a moron. When she came to talk to Latnok, he tried to keep a straight face and control his own blush.
"Good afternoon señorita." He said courteously and with a small nod, being very polite, although not too attentive. He didn't want anyone figuring out his feelings, especially the rude, abusive Leoquin, so Maverick treated Ilasi as if she was simply another crew member and fellow employee.

Several meters away, Angora was with Shade, using one of his paws as a pillows. She already had the hexphage, so there was no point in avoiding contact. She asked the dragolet if he could give her a small head massage with his claws. She wanted to forget about everything this once. Nevertheless, she was occasionally listening to some of the conversation between Latnok, Maverick and the others, though it was very hard to tell from her position. She was incredibly depressed. Her face was completely expressionless. She was showing no emotion whatsoever. If it wasn't for her rather attentive eyes, anyone could've confused her with an agonizing animal just waiting for anyone to provide her with a merciful kill.

"I'm alright right now, but thank-you.," Raclaw politely responded before thinking of someone. "Wait-- would you mind getting Chester something good? He deserves it after being such a trooper in the bath.," he then said referring to now very clean and still slightly wet Beagle. Chester looked down at Raclaw and up at Maverick-- giving a happy bark at the prospect. Indeed-- Raclaw did a excellent job for a fur dragon at getting his furry pal clean and looking very presentable.

"Why, hello, Maverick," Ilasi said coyly, still conflicted as to her feelings on Maverick. "Are you sure you don't want to join us for a swim?"
"If he doesn't want to, then whatever," Leoquin said. "He can go make ballads to his troll or whatever he does in his spare time." Leoquin wasn't outright going to tell Maverick not to swim with them - however, he strongly preferred to not have him present, and had the perfect opportunity to express as much.
"Well, I'm not going to force him to swim if he doesn't want to," Latnok said. "The choice is his. What you can do is get Risar some of our really 'good' stuff and see if he's in a mood to show Raclaw what a real cannonball looks like."

Maverick agreed with Shade. He then was about to answe Ilasi when Leoquin interrupted. It was still too sad how the only individual of Ilasi's species was such an abusive jerk. However, not even he was spoiling his good mood.
"So something for Chester only. Got it. After the meal... then just maybe I'll take a swim myself." Maverick replied, smiling to everyone, even Leoquin, as he made his way below the stairs.

Angora couldn't help but to give a small glance to the scene. Even under all her despair, she gave a tiny, internal smile at Leoquin's attempt to belittle Maverick and the hybrid not reacting at all to his antagonism. It was a feeling that gave her great pleasure. How much she wished she could learn to be happy and shake off everyone's poisonous influence as easily as Maverick. But like him, she also felt rather sad for the way Ilasi was treating him as well. She didn't know if it was due to being influenced by Leoquin and the Guardians or for her being angry at Maverick for supposedly abandoning her in Orcford, but whatever the reason, it was no good excuse. Maverick was a wonderful guy, and Angora was certain he would find a woman that would accept him just the way he is. She had high hopes for Ilasi, but now Angora believed she didn't deserve him anymore.

"You better not forget what I just asked you to get," Latnok reminded Maverick telepathically as he left, not hearing Maverick recall his order.
Latnok, who was in Icestorm's path, made sure to clear the way before the landing - that didn't save him from getting hit in the face by a huge splash of water. As he spat out the water, Leoquin applauded. "You got him good there! I think you -"
Leoquin was interrupted by a wave of water being launched at his face. "Don't worry, I've got you covered," Latnok said, in mock indignation. Leoquin spat up water and laughed giddily. The only other time Latnok could remember actually having fun in such a manner was the angleball game with Raclaw - which Raclaw completely dominated. Despite his prior exhaustion, his spirits were rather high now. Maybe I should do this sort of thing more often...

"Good food for Risar. I know. I just thought he would want something specific." Maverick said, having heard Latnok the first time, but thought the minotaur would speak up and request something else. Nevertheless, the big crewmate said nothing, so Maverick proceeded to get below deck. He wasn't feeling happy, but at least he wasn't sad either. He wish he could convince Sere to give the antidote to Angora, but he wasn't in the mood to deal with his temper just yet. Despite the ordeal, this was still far better than his father's ship, but wish he could improve their conditions nonetheless. Nobody was making things easier for them, especially Leoquin, and Ilasi being there took him by complete surprise, so this was quite the harsh and eventful journey, one Maverick prayed could be better as the days passed.

"Nice to see you join in on the fun, Icestorm!," Raclaw said with a laugh at the others' expense. He gave a smile and was having a good time-- when an idea occurred to him. He silently triggered an collar command-- "Hide." At the same time where the others would be unable to hear him, he used his telepathy to trick the others into no longer seeing him and flew up in the air. Once he reached the desired height, he undid the previous command and dropped forming the same slender cannonball shape as previously. Dropping like a rock-- he soon made a big plash and even augmented his impact by causing the artifact to form spikes along top of his tail. "How's that for a splash?," he asked with a big grin looking at the others. Risar gave Maverick a nod and continued to watch for the time being.

Latnok was just a little more prepared this time - he raised his hands up to his face, stopping most of the water from hitting it. "Well, you certainly are improving..." he said.
Leoquin and Ilasi were hit by the full force of the splash - though they didn't quite mind it. "Wow - so you can disappear, too!" Leoquin said, amazed. "That's amazing!"
"Eh... it's not quite that simple," Latnok said, though he would leave any further explanation to Raclaw.
"Well," Ilasi said, smiling, "I'm glad you're having a wonderful time! I never really took you for one to enjoy a swim - you didn't seem to have the most fun time in the rain."
"Well, I'm sure we can have him good to go in no time!" Leoquin chimed in. "Why, I'd love to teach you more about swimming, Raclaw! It's really fun once you get the hang of it." Before he could continue, however, Latnok, without warning, sent a surge of water towards Raclaw to splash him.

Raclaw, just barely seeing the large wave at the last moment, quickly attempted to back up-- using some lift from his wet feathery wings to help aide him. It only partially worked, deflecting some of the water forward although still leaving him mostly drenched as a direct result. The water pushed him back even further leaving an ample opening where he was just prior to the surprise attack. "Okay okay-- you got me.," he said with a slight shiver. "And Leoquin, I would really appreciate that-- thank you. I will admit.. I'm not the greatest fan of the water, however, I could get used to it." the fur dragon said with a grateful nod knowing just how inadequate his swimming was in it's current state. He wasn't completely useless in the water, but could certainly use the help. Meanwhile, Risar stood nearby on the deck.

Angora watched with some disgust how they were having fun while she and Maverick were being treated like simple slaves. Maverick had more choice than her of course and was even invited to the fun, but he was still left the task alone instead of somebody else having it or at least helping him. Even though she wanted nobody to speak to her, it was still indignant how nobody seemed to care how she felt, or how despaired she seemed. Was she really desitned to continue being despised like this? She didn't get the hexphage to relieve herself of duties, nor she scraped the barnacles under anyone's orders, but everyone else always thought the worse case scenario with her. Shade and Maverick were the only ones who genuinely cared for her, but only because they felt like they owe her something, or in the latter' case, because he was too stupidly kind to know better.

As she brainstormed these depressing thoughts, Maverick returned to the main deck no more than ten minutes later with a large tray full of mostly meat. He prepared very elegant platters.
"Here you go Angorita. Chin up. I know you're sad, but the harsher life is, the better the future will be. Have faith." Maverick said optimistically, noticing her sadness, but with his comment, he managed to get a small smile out of her, although a very brief one.
"Thank you Maverick." she replied, with lost enthusiasm. Maverick felt very bad for her, but he had plenty of experience with hope, and it was something he was going to keep, for the three of them if necessary.
"Here you go big guy. This steak is for you." Maverick said as he handed Shade his meat, putting it in his paw and preventing contact with his skin and leaving the platter aside. After his two friends had their meal, he headed for the mighty minotaur. With a bit of nervousness, Maverick handed Risar his meal. It was a whole turkey just for him, enriched with a gravy he himself had improvised, and on it's side some bread and berries. It really looked like something made out of a restaurant.
"Last but not least..." Maverick commented, as he put a bowl full of chicken wings for Chester, along with another bowl of water. It was all very well put, and for himself, a simple tuna sandwich. He then left the tray on top on one of the nearest barrels, which had drinks, which had whine, rum and grape juice, plus two bowls just in case Raclaw wanted to drink something himself. Finally, with no orders or watch, Maverick felt like he could finally take this time to really relax...

"Impressive.. thank-you." Risar said with a nod-- pleasantly surprised at what Maverick had come up. He was starting to earn more respect for the hybrid, despite his relations to the Troll and the Dragolet with blood on his paws. Chester looked down at the bowl of chicken wings and was practically licking his chops. He jumped on Maverick and tried to lick the Hybrid's face before quickly digging in. Risar was already breaking off a turkey leg and digging in himself.

Maverick gave Chester a quick pat when he jumped at him, and then sat on a small chair near the mast to eat his tuna sandwich in peace, along with some grape juice. He watched as the others had fun, but unlike Angora, he didn't think much of it. As he ate, he pondered as to what he should do afterwards. Should he try to convince Sere to give Angora the hexphage cure so she could take Latnok's class? Or was she better off with it to prevent others from wanting to beat her up and at the same time provide Shade the warm companionship he needed? He really wasn't sure of what to do. He believed everything was his fault. If only he hasn't sold them off to Blue. If only he hadn't left Shade and Angora alone. If only he hadn't agree on Orion transporting them to the place where they were kidnapped. Perhaps if they had stayed in Orcford for a while longer.... Maverick truly believed he was to blame, and the guilt was stabbing him.

After feeling guilty for a while, Maverick decided to hold on to his old faith, knowing that feeling guilt wasn't going to get him anywhere. As he finished his sandwich, he couldn't help but to glance silently at her when she wasn't looking. How he really messed up. And what was worse, Angora was angry at her. But he knew the truth. He knew that Ilasi never meant to hurt them in such a way, she simply told on Sere and never expected him to overreact that way. He knew Angora sometimes offended without knowing, and that is exactly what happened on that occasion. As usual, a misunderstanding brought them much misery, but he was willing to atone for his mistakes, both with Ilasi and Angora.

Angora scowled at Shade, wondering why he said made a comment. It's not like they were going to let him in the water. Still, Angora decided to ignore him this once in order to eat as well, very glad that she could have such a decent meal. Maverick wasn't a fan of cooking, mbut he was incredibly good at it. He was usually the one who put the special touches on their meals after Shade cooked them.

Soon Shade was dong and continued to give her head a massage. Though he did wonder why no one had yet to train him or even give him any work to do. He guessed some of the crew were intimidated by him so Sere and Latnok were trying to keep morale up. He did wish for this fungus to go away he didn’t know why they put it on him if the collar alone was enough to control his powers. (sense it has full power now.)

With the others enjoying themselves in the water, Sere stepped out of the inner ship, coming on deck to see how things were going. It didn't take him long to identify the group in the water, having a good time; he was glad that they could at least keep their spirits high. He never took Latnok to be one for playing around - but then again, there were many things Latnok didn't know about him, as well.
Risar, Chester, Angora, and Shade were all eating - it was about that time. He should probably be eating soon, as well. He would feed Veris before he did so.
"Ah, Godfather Sere," Latnok called out. "Care for a swim?"
Sere thought long and hard for a few moments; in the end, he figured that relaxing at least somewhat wouldn't hurt him, and it may do the men good to see that he wasn't always some hard, tense figure. "I will join you," he said. "I just have to feed Veris first."
"Oh, this'll be good," Leoquin muttered, rather eager to see the boss actually enjoy himself for once. He had no problems with Sere; Sere didn't seem that approachable, however, in no small part due to his all business, no nonsense nature.

Although Angora was still depressed, Maverick's gentle comment and Shade's head massage was making her feel better. She cleaned the platter and left it within her care to prevent others from using it and risk hexphage spreading. She even labeled it with her name. As she remained with Shade, she looked at Maverick and hoped he could have a little fun of his own, even if it was by himself. The crew was laying low now, doing very little chores, and she believed that if anyone deserved fun, it was Maverick.

But the young fawn man was busy thinking of other things to have fun. He was taking his time with his sandwich, thinking of many things. He would sometimes be happy and relaxed, but other times he would get sad and think about their current circumstances. He would still glance at Ilasi when nobody paid attention to him, but the frequency was decreasing. He still firmly believed he had missed his chances with her, and that she didn't feel anything for him, but slowly, he was starting to accept this, and would still try to strike a decent friendship with her at best if possible, and of course, if Leoquin didn't get in the way.

Raclaw smiled at Sere's acceptance of the invitation-- knowing ,a little at least, just how troubled the Godfather was. He was a man, an Guardian, responsible for a lot. Between the whole deal with Falcon's Beak and beyond; Godfather Sere was a tense man and it would do both him and the crew some good to see him relax. Besides Latnok himself, Raclaw had seen more of the Godfather's inner demons then anyone else. He also knew that he was partly to blame for those inner demons, having come back and bringing back a big can of worms to the Guardians. He was grateful for everything they had done for him and had continued to do, but wished he could do more to help ease the worries that the old Godfather no doubt felt on a daily basis. Raclaw looked at Leoquin and gave a playful nod, knowing that the group could certainly have some fun with the man. The fur dragon was clearly getting more used to the water or least was too distracted by the group antics to care. He trended water and prepared to defend himself against any incoming waves courtesy of anyone of them.

Nearby, Risar and Chester continued to eat. The two were no doubt enjoying the meals-- the little Chester chowing down on his wings and the large Risar sucking on a grape. He seemed rather pleased by the meal as he helped down another bite with a glass of wine. 'Sweet, tangy, and with just the right amount of punch-- not bad for a hybrid human.,' he thought to himself giving off a more relaxed expression verses his usual somewhat tense self. Not that far away, Chester was very much pleased with his meal-- downing the chicken wings bone and all. The little Beagle occasionally glanced up and was glad to see Raclaw having fun-- and perhaps getting over his fear of water. He had made Raclaw go through with it partly to get back at him, but was even more glad to see that it had brought many members of the crew together. He was glad to have Raclaw as a protector-- and as a friend.

The more Maverick saw, the more tempted he was to go for a swim himself, but knowing himself, he knew he was going to feel guilty for having fun while his two friends were left alone and avoided like the plague, not to mention that he didn't want to include tension between the active crew members, especially Leoquin. He's already shown much dislike for him, so if Maverick was going to have any fun, he preferred to do it while Leoquin wasn't present. So having finished up his sandwich, he decided to accompany his friends... only to see that Angora has already come up with something.

Using three large cups she hid her orb in one of them, and then Maverick overheard her saying something very important to Shade.
"Alright Shady, you know this game, don't you? I'll hide the orb and move the cups, and your objective is to find which cup the orb is under. As the game progresses, the cups will go faster, and they will increase in number... if I can find more that is. Anyway, you did quite disappointedly in the Redwater arena, so it's time you learn to use your brain more and less your brawn. You rely too much on your powers Shady, and that's why you get out of control. Too much impulsiveness and anxiety. I know you want to protect us, but all that forced heroics is getting us into trouble!" Angora scolded, knowing that part of the trouble they were in was Shade's inability to think before acting, and if it was true that somebody controlled him when attacking Redwater, she had no doubt this individual took advantage of Shade's rash nature to fulfill his or her objective. She didn't like telling on Shade like this, but she believed it was about time he recognized he was partly at fault for most of the ordeals the three of them have endured.
"Now then Shady, let us begin..." Angora said as she started the game, knowing that Shade won't be able to cheat with this one. The orb was odorless, so no point in sniffing, and Angora will slap him if he dared to lift the three cups at the same time. As she started, she gave a stealthy glance at Maverick, knowing too well he was too worried about them to have any fun, so the game was in part her way of letting him know they didn't need him at the moment. She didn't care if it was with or without the group. Angora believed he deserved a moment of fun.

Maverick got the message, more or less, and even though he was still worried about them, he wondered if he should take Latnok's offer. He wasn't going to make any progress just worrying like that, and how many chances of fun like this was he going to have? He was really tempted to go into the water with them... but he was being too shy, plus he was too worried he was going to be rejected and rebuffed if he dared to go, especially Leoquin...

Shade tryed his best to follow the cup with the orb in it. “What is the prize if I win?” Shade said. He was looking hard until Angora stopped the cups. He chose the middle one.

"The prize is I don't slap you!" Angora expressed, proceeding to do just that to his paw when he failed. The orb was on her left side. She hid it again and proceeded to move the cups yet again, just slightl slower than before.
"If you're expecting food, you have another thing coming. Life is never easy. Battles are not always about brute strength or elemental powers. Now can you focus and think at the same time?" Angora said as she continued moving the cups, wanting to give Shade the brain excercise he needed.
"Tell me dragolet, how many penguins can a polar bear eat in a year? Any ideas?" Angora asked randomly, wanting to give Shade a double challenge. She was using tranquil fury on him, having noticed that ever since they arrived on that ship, neither Sere or Latnok had began training him. Since she was in charge of him for today, Angora decided to start training Shade herself in her own way so that when it was the Guardians turn, Shade would have better control of his temper and be overall more tolerant of their harshness, and also, maybe make the Guardians go a little easier on him in the process.

As Maverick continued watching the playing group silently, he approached slightly closer, though still fearing the cold shoulder. As he decided to take some time to gather the courage necessary to accept Latnok's offer no matter the possible tension, Maverick was close enough to see some puddles of sea water splashed on the deck. He took off his boots, and with his bare feet stood on the accumulated water. It's been so many years since he felt the salty water of the sea. It was a pleasant feeling, but at the same time one that brought many bad memories. Never in a million years he thought he would return to the ocean. How he missed his traveling merchant life... and yet... destiny gave him the chance of meeting Angora again after so many years, and despite all the injustice and harshness he has endured afterwards, it was a moment he didn't regret.

Shade thought for a moment then knew the answer. “Trick question! Polar bears live near the North pole and empor penguins live in the South Pole. They would never interact in the wild.” He continued to watch her move the orb around.

Angora was quite surprised to know Shade had the right answer.
"So you do have a brain after all." Angora exclaimed, having thought Shade was going to get that weong.
"That's the kind of mind you need Shady. Why didn't you used it when you were pinned against those gargoyles and worm in the arena?" Angora asked as she put the cups to a stop, believing Shade probably wasn't well under pressure, or perhaps since it was her giving the challenge, he was more competent. Whatever the reason, he has just demonstrated he could think, but she wasn't going to let him off so easily. She was going to ask him harder questions as the game progressed...
