We gathered here today, because at 4:57 PM, on January 12, of 2018, dark52 had passed. To us here on darkSpyro he was more than just an admin. He was a friend, a companion, a loving father, and to some of us (no names mentioned) a lover.

On June 6th of 2004, he uploaded the only comprehensible Spyro fansite, complete with walkthroughs and an attractive website layout. It has helped many users find that "one last freaking gem." He offered solice to those who could not find the path to defeat the crystal spiders of the celestial caves in The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night. He gave us more than just useful tips and walkthroughs, however. He gave us the best April Fools jokes I have personally ever seen. He gave us weekly polls that were not really weekly, but I digress.
On a beautiful and warm early spring day—the second of May in 2005 to be exact—he gave those who were too scared to join 4chan (in fear that their parents would find out) a place to call their own.
He self coded a forum that would give rise to a diverse and socially awkward group of users. A group of users that would argue (more than not), flame each other, and troll relentlessly. But these same users loved one another all the same. These same users grew up together. These same users ****posted together, forming a bond unlike any forum I have ever seen. For better or for worse.
You see, he didn't just give us a forum, he gave us a home.
Often the Spyro fans gave up on dark52, but dark52 never gave up on them. He tolerated even the most intolerable users for longer than warranted. Need I mention white dragon, SpyroVSGanon100, Observer, Alydol?
He believed that we could grow and learn. And the 10% of us who remain proved that his belief was not in vain. Some of us still here today, probably—very likely—have not even earned that second chance.
dark52 was a coolheaded, loyal, responsible (despite the late 2010 porn incident where he vanished for four hours no less), mature, devoted father, and to some (not mentioning names) quite attractive.
In short, he was our rock. He was our leader. He was our caregiver (even motherly sometimes). He was our inspiration. He was our light at the end of the dark lonely tunnel.
He was, quite frankly everyone, our admin.
May he rest in peace. May he continue to smile down on us. May he watch over us and—in a way—continue to be our admin even today, and tomorrow, and for always. (it is actually freaking raining right now as I type this, I am not kidding, it just suddenly started out of nowhere, freaking lol.)
