Err, sounds like you're letting other things get to you. You're born a male, and stay a male.

What makes you feel feminine?

For a long time now (Aprox. 4-6 years) I've felt that I wasn't entirely sure about being male (My biological sex).

Now obviously it's normal for someone to occasionally feel more feminine if they're biologically male, or masculine if biologically female, but that's only in smaller bursts.

However, in my case, I would often have larger and more frequents periods of feeling feminine.
Obviously not enough to say that I'm flat-out trans, but more than enough to know that I'm not entirely male either.

It's hard for me to explain, honestly, but I've never felt 100% comfortable saying that I'm male, but at the same time I know I'm not trans female either.

Forgive me, but I've never been able to understand the whole "gender-fluid" thing. I'd just see you as a uh, feminine male.

I've been learning this, despite the fact that I constantly express that I don't agree with sjw's, tho, I'll try to be more respectful in the future. but i'd like everyone else to do the same, some more than others.

I believe mostly in male, female, and neutral/agendered. I'm really not sure about gender fluidity but I feel like that's a combination of not understanding it on my part, and the feeling that it would be way too easy to abuse (e.g. someone likes something in particular today, clearly they are this gender today).

While I am not a gender-fluid person so I can't fully speak for someone who is gender-fluid, but I think this analogy is basic enough to understand sort of what gender-fluid people go through.

You like oreos and you like cake
On some days, you want to eat cake more and other days you want to eat oreos more.
The days you want to eat cake being the days you feel more feminine and the oreo days being more masculine.
Basically: A gender-fluid person's gender is just based on the day, essentially their gender shifts from day to day.

if that analogy is gender-fluidity, being gender fluid must mean being confused with your gender.

As I said before, I am not in the shoes of one. But yeah everyone is different, a gender-fluid person could perhaps go a whole week feeling female, then feel like a male the day (or week, or month) after.

Not exactly, not sure if my explanation is coming in clear (I heard someone else who was gender fluid describe it in this way, but obviously not everyone is the same)
A gender-fluid's gender is what they feel they are that day. They could change quite frequently throughout a week or every other week, it really depends on the person.

I'm just going to say that I am a bit weird about it. I'm male and happy that way so I know I'll never truly understand, but I'm willing to keep an open mind, and won't hate on something solely for not understanding it entirely. However, this also depends on the person. If any of it comes from Tumblr, I instantly dismiss it. Usually, this is where you'll find those that are making up genders and pronouns solely for the sake of feeling special. Something I wholeheartedly disagree with.

It's another Metallo Topic™. Guess it's time for the discourse.

I don't agree with the idea of people saying that they're another gender based on whether or not they like doing something that's "typical" for a person of the gender they were assigned with at birth to. To be honest, it's kind of insulting when people think that it's the one thing that defines your gender. Gender is incredibly complicated, and shouldn't be defined over something as simple as that. It can be a symptom but certainly not a telltale sign of anything.

I'd like to note that I vehemently disagree with what much of Tumblr believes, and a lot of the **** I see about gender on there is cringe-worthy at best, and incredibly demeaning and ignorant at the worst. But there aren't even two sexes? And gender dysphoria is a thing too; keep in mind that gender is distinctly different from sex and has to do with your brain rather than what the outward appearance of your body is like. There's quite a bit of biological evidence of both; chromosomes getting mucked up, an imbalance of horomones, and so on. It's beyond anyone's control, really.

Medical conditions like that is one case where I do believe there can be more than one gender, but it's usually the self-diagnosed gender fluids I don't understand.

There's two genders (counting trans cuz that's a thing). Like, I dont wanna seem rude but here's now I see it, back in the 1900s these genders didnt exist, you cant just....make something up, like people started hearing about these "new genders" through tumblr or whatever and thought "oh hey i might be that" but if no one brought it up in the first place no one would really feel that way. I understand gender fluidity cuz some days you feel one or the other

it just doesnt make sense, gender is the state of being male or female, and sex is what group you're in depending on your sexual functions

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Ya got me there. I'm not extremely confident in my knowledge of genderfluidity, and it's even harder to tell when it's self-diagnosed? It would be hypocritical of me to completely look down on people who do so, but you have to keep in mind that it's hard to tell. Some could be legit and some could just be misinterpreting the meaning. But it depends from person to person, especially with all the misconceptions about gender that go around (like with tumblr being too lenient about it and others not even attempting to understand). I believe you'd just have to ask someone who is genderfluid themselves. I've been meaning to ask around and try to understand better myself.

also please end using 'queer' as a general term for people who aren't cis holy hell

Queer is an umbrella term, nothing wrong with the word. It's no longer negative

Interesting topic.

Honestly I don't know what to say. I'm not even sure what my opinion on all this is.

All I know for certain, is that everything about this just seems confusing to me.

I have no idea what it's like to "feel like the opposite gender" at all, whch is probably where the confusion and huge lack of understanding comes from.

I'm guessing it has something to do with things in the body being "wired" (for lack of a better term, if any. But you get what I mean.) differently for whatever reason.

Just like some people are sometimes born with some kind of sickness. (Note: No, I'm not saying this is a "sickness" or disease, I'm using it as an example and nothing more.)

Though the concept of "one moment you feel like a boy" and "the other you feel like a girl" definetely confuse me a lot.

Yeah, still don't know what to say.

TL:DR is "dunno. just really confused about it."

Though, and I hope I don't cause some sort of unholy storm as a result of saying this, I really don't see how more then one sex (using "sex" just to be safer here.) can exist.

As far as I'm aware, Humans are only born with two different organs "down below", besides the rare occurence where it so happens they have... both?

(I had no idea this was a thing, but apperantly it is. And I don't know what to say about that.)
