Intro: Hello fellow dragon lovers! It's been a while since I made an RP so i decided to make a new one. You see, my last RP was surprisingly a hit, with a total of 40 pages! I was stunned! But, for some time the RP has become inactive, and i accept that. Dimensional Rift had a good long run and i'm happy to let go of that RP and make a new one. This time with dragons! Without further ado, here is Age of the Fallen!

Back Story
Dragons, proud creatures with many skills and abilities, once inhabited the land known as Niffiria. Niffiria was one of the prettiest and most peaceful continents on the planet, home to a range of different creatures who knew nothing of wars overseas. However, all the peace was destroyed, and the creatures had no idea what had hit them. Years ago, a strange toxin polluted the skies, waterways and forests, causing illness and death to those who were weaker than most. Not only that, but the chemical caused creatures to go insane, attacking others, friends or family. This also caused the destruction of entire cities, towns and other civilizations. No one knew where this strange chemical came from, nor did they know how to get rid of it. That was until those who resisted the toxins came up with the idea to evacuate everyone underground until further notice. To this day, the dragons and some other creatures remained underground where they knew it was safe.

Main Story\
200 years had passed since the day the world became unlivable. You are a dragon, or creature, who has been born in the underground sanctuary with no knowledge of the previous life some dragons lived and are curious of the outside world. When you hear the leaders are calling together dragons who are willing to leave the underground, you find yourself applying for the job. Whether it be your curiosity or need for money, you decide to find out what the leaders have planned.

You are about to leave to find the leaders to sign up for the job. (Saying goodbye to parents, getting ready ect)

Rules

1. Please! No OP characters. I want this RP to be fare for everyone.
2. Don't cause unnecessary fights unless two characters are arguing or the fight seems plausible (Fighting over food ect)
3. Remember- Your characters have NEVER seen outside. They haven't been taught to hunt or have never seen the creatures that live above ground (like birds ect)
4. No advertising (Trust me I've seen it happen)
5. If you are leaving the RP or going on holidays PLEASE tell me! That way your character won't be suspended or erased from the RP
6. Keep romance PG-13
7. Swearing allowed just nothing too extreme (No insulting users!)

ooc: i just read the rules more thouroghly and saw that the aren't supposed to have ever seen the surface and Durza goes around from demension to demension so his level of experiance may make things unfair in that reguard so can i still use him? if so he will just need to show up later like when they go to the surface or something. if not that's ok i'll be happy to make a new oc from scratch i will just have trouble with the name is all.

You can still use Durza, and yes he can appear above ground I have a character who will appear as a guide later on. But you can still make another OC if you want to. I'm using 3 (plus villains and elders)

Personality:
Infurno has always been the type of dragon to ignore advice from others. Not because he's hot-headed and ignorant, but because he believes he can take care of himself. He is known to have a short temper around others who make fun of his odd colours or insult him, but he is able to hold his anger in most of the time. That doesn't mean he doesn't show it though. Contrasting to this, Infurno is a really self conscious dragon, which is why he lashes out sometimes. He's really insecure about his looks and past, trying to avoid conversations about himself as much as possible. Infurno can also be a really overprotective and selfless dragon, putting others before himself. His selflessness developed when he realised that others shouldn't have to go through anything as tragic as what he had experienced. He prefers to be quiet and left alone when he's upset or angry, thinking he would just be a nuisance to anyone who cared. But, even though he tries to hide it, he wishes he wasn't alone. Despite his wild emotions, Infurno is a very responsible dragon with a caring attitude towards close friends.
Other: He has a strong belief that someone caused the world to become poisoned.

Apperance: green scaled with light brown underbelly and wing membrains. All in all he looks to be all bron and no brain. Clube tail too, dont want to forget that.
Persanallity: brave and easily board, strong and intellagent, hates it when people insult his smarts.
Other: he got board with life underground and decided to go up for a change in senery. He hopes it will be eventful.

Alright, everyone ready to start?

((Ok, anyone who wishes to join, it would be preferable if you join from now until they leave the underground. I can work something out if you join later on though so don't worry!))

The underground. A safe haven for all sorts of different creatures, although, most commonly seen are dragons. The underground is said to be a kilometre bellow the surface, and spans for at least 1000. It closely resembles what life used to be like before the disaster, without sky of course. The whole place was a wide open cavern, allowing for creatures to fly quite high. Crystals were imbedded into the ceiling, illuminating the ground. It was the light and electric dragons duty to light them during 'daytime' hours. Towns were built from stone, the only resource that could be found under the earth. Plants thrived as well, thanks to the earth dragons. In face, the underground was an amazing place where each dragon had a major role in helping the different races survive in such a place. But even so... Nothing could compare to the open world of the overland.

Kumara shut the book harshly. She was always told of the dangers above ground, but... The stories of blue skies and wide open spaces filled her mind with curiosity and yearning. Her great great great great grandparents lived in the overworld, and brought amazing stories of creatures and natural elements of beauty. Oddly, no books described what the overworld was like... Not one. She stood from her spot on top of her den and flew down to the ground. It was nearly time for her to do her duties as a lightning dragon, since dark dragons weren't really used for much.

((Ok, here are the duties of dragons.
Air: produce wind currents throughout their specific sector of the underground.
Fire: warmth when it gets too cold, act like an artificial sun.
Light: illuminate the crystals to produce light
Earth: expand the underground, tend to plants and help with the building of new dens
Electricity: illuminate the crystals to produce light, power machines
Water: create drinking sources, artificial rain for plants
Ice: cooling down the air if to hot, artificial snow
Poison: useless element
Dark: useless element
Fear: useless element
The last three are meant to be useless since there's no reason for them))

Kumara took flight and commenced the illumination process. She had finished four when she spotted Icestorm.

Infurno sighed as he walked around the underground. The temperature was fine 'today' so he didn't have any duties awaiting for him. He looked up at the few illuminated crystals.

A loud roar could be heard, signifying that a meeting between the leaders was taking place.

ooc: i seriously don't like the name i have for my oc so if you got something please do say something.

(Yeah ... Gaia is more of a dragoness's name ... maybe something like Slate or Quarry would do. And I've been meaning to join as well, just need to determine my characters of choice.)

Quarry was so bord. He just want something exiting to do but all he did all day was lift and move rocks. he was just another heavy lifter and he hated it. he heard that the meeting between the leaders was taking place "finally" he said to himself "may be those so called leaders will finally have something exiting happen." but little did he know that the biggest adventure of his life is about to begin.

((Glad that that's settled ))

A crowd of dragons were gathered around what looked to be a huge dome with a stained glass ceiling. Inside, the leaders were about to make an announcement.

Kumara finished her section of lighting and flew down to the crowd of dragons. Being small, she managed to slip inside the meeting room to a spot where she could easily see what was going on.

Infurno, however, just flew to the top of the dome and opened one of the glass panels. He had done this many times and hadn't been coauthor yet.

The leaders waited for the crowd to settle down.

Quarry waited hoping to hear some good news. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Infurno but said nothing. He alwayssaw him up their during announcments but said nothing every time since he had a feeling that Infurno was going to get cought edventually.

When everyone settled down, a yellow and black electric dragon walked forward.
"As most of you would know, we used to live in the overworld. But when chemicals began killing our kinds off, we retreated into the underground. It has been 200 years since that day, and we are beginning to realise that we are not meant to live here."
A blue and green dragon with a large fin like crest took over, "Water dragons are having difficulty providing a big enough water source without natural water to control. Electric dragons powers are fading early from over use of illumination duties. In other words, we will cease to have control over elements unless we act upon this disaster."

Gasps erupted from the crowd. Kumara's eyes widened, Thats why father quit so early...

Finally, a light blue air dragon with large wings spoke, " We are just not meant to live like this. We balance our world through our elemental energy, and if we don't live above, the balance will crumble. Which is why we have come up with a plan to move back to the overworld."

Infurno grinned. he had always wanted to see what life was like up there...

The air dragon looked down at Icestorm and narrowed her eyes slightly, "We have decided to band together a select number of dragons who wish to exit the underground and find out if we are able to live above. We are offering volunteers, but if no one does, we will randomly select you. Think about it, and return here once you are ready." She exited the dome with the other two leaders behind her.

Infurno grinned wildly at the news. He couldn't believe that anyone could just ask to leave! He was about to fly off when he fell through the opening and landed where the leaders once stood. Thankfully, most of the other dragons had already left, but the few that didn't gave him odd stares.

Kumara yelped when the red and blue dragon fell in front of her before scowling at the fact that she had been startled, "Watch yourself scale head, you almost landed on me!" She growled in annoyance.

Infurno huffed at the insult, "I didn't want to fall from the roof thank you very much," he said back. The black dragoness just rolled her eyes and left.
"What's her problem?"

Quarry stayed. he didn't have anything of his own to sort out and was exited at the news "finally. something exiting is about to happen." he said to himself.

ooc: ok i know i'm a little late on this character but better late then never.

Gender: female
Age: 22
Type: fire will unlock electricity
Appearance: like Ember but darker in coloration a tail blade like a surgical knife and no necklace.
Personality: she cares more about others then herself, loving and caring.
Other:the fire she uses is for healing which is known as sacred fire otherwise she can only make small flames that are good for starting camp fires.

"Hm?" Infurno looked over at Icestorm, "oh yeah! I'm fine. It'll take more than a little fall to put me out of action!" He joked a little.
"So, what do you think about the news? I'm thinking of going since I don't have much to loose."

"Cool! ive always wondered what it would be like to go up there," he replied, looking at the cavern ceiling.

Kumara had just fininished talking to her parents. They weren't pleased with her decision, but couldn't stop her anyway. She flew back to the meeting place and landed.
"Oh great..." She mumbled, spotting Infurno.

Quarry sighed "look i knew you were going to fall Infurno. As for what i think about the news i'm going. I have nothing to live for here. Besides things here are boring so i finally can get some exitment. Not that anyone cares."

(Quick question, how many elements can a dragon have?)

((Two would be acceptable. I don't want characters that become too op with their powers. I can make exceptions if the elements are weak though '))

Sora heard the news and decided to go. They may need a healer after all. Once she arrived Quarry recodnised her and said "hey, you that girl who fixed my leg when i broke it." Sora smiled "yes i am and my name is Sora. So how is that leg doing?" Quarry smiled ans said "better then ever after you were through with it." Sora smiled "good i'm glade to hear that."

But despite his boisterous nature and slight ego, Orion is still capable of being much more dedicated and hard-working than he often lets on, and he can always be trusted to come through in the name of helping the innocent and those that he cares about.

Personality: Obsidian is serious, straight-forward, and determined, sometimes to the point of acting somewhat strict. He also has a somewhat cynical attitude, and this combined with his tendency to state exactly what he feels about things can make him come off as rude, but at the same time none can doubt his honesty either, and in actuality he is generally rather polite unless provoked, and can be quite protective and caring towards others when given the chance to be.

Personality: Asher is a somewhat shy Dragon, preferring the company of a book to large periods of interacting with others, but what he lacks in social ability he makes up greatly for in smarts, for Asher is also quite witty, aswell a quick learner. He is also quite kind and insightful, willing to help others even at his own expense without complaint, and offer advice when called upon, and at times he can also be playful aswell.

Infurno grinned, "agreed. I'm sure it's going to be a piece of cake."

The air dragoness returned and spotted the few dragons willing to leave.
"Shall we start?" She asked the electric dragon.
"Give it a bit longer," he replied.

(Thank you~! He honestly has one of my favorite designs out of my ocs, though applying the details is abit of a pain. )

After the announcement was over, three Dragons huddled together to discuss what they had heard.
"You guys gonna go? I know I am, no way I would miss out on an adventure." Orion began, an eager grin on his face.

"I've always wanted to see the outside... And see if it's anything like the books I've read." Asher replied, and while his tone was soft he had a small smile on his face.

Obsidian gave a small nod. "You can count me in too. We're meant to live out there, just as they said. Also...." He went on, glancing at Orion. "If there are any dangers waiting for us someone's gotta keep you from getting killed."

Orion pouted, tail twitching. "Huh, I'm not sure if I should be happy you care for my well-being, or annoyed that you have so little faith in my abilities."

"It's moreso that I don't trust your judgement, Starboy." The larger male remarked, giving the Dark Dragon a nudge. "I know Asher is smart enough to avoid trouble, or atleast work around it. But you however don't even seem to have a sense of self-preservation, and don't bother telling me it's not true, because he can also attest to that aswell."

"Yeah he's kinda right Orion, you are abit reckless." Asher admitted, his words making their companion look even more indignant than before.
