I'm confused! People are saying that there gonna go back to the originals. But other people are saying that there continuing with TLOS and there will no more originals Can somone please tell if they are continuing TLOS or they are going back to the originals?

Well, the trilogy ends like it was meant to end there, full stop. But they said they did the reboot to allow room for expansion... I dunno what that means but I hope they go back to the originals!!

LoS was a Trilogy. They're not going back to it. They're either having a second reboot or going back to the originals. I'm going to lean towards the originals, since Sierra will be under new management soon (Activision), a serious game company who know what the market demands.

So will the "beat in on day" games be over?

I hope they're going to quit producing this TLoS crap, but alas, I can only hope. =P

Maybe cynder will return and they might make flame a Worthwhile Character.

While I'm not exactly Cynder's biggest fan, I'd be fine if they included her in future, original-style games. As long as Spyro and Cynder don't start acting all "omg i luffs u babeh *kiss*".

A game continuing where DotD left off, and made as a kind of fusion between TLOS and the originals. They need to bring back the classic Spyro gameplay, (go portals!) but still maintain the TLOS storyline, history, and fighting system.

And they need to bring back, Elora, Flame, and Ember o__o

I don't know what to say now. In either case, they'd have to have some SERIOUS changes made to the whole level exploration or BEAT 'EM UP gameplay styles, because frankly in both cases, the original games and TLOS are sooooo generic. Free roaming was at least a fairly new concept when the original trilogy was made.

I had a dream they DID make a game on that story,
but I never got it, and I ended up with the game after that
and the opening cutscene scared me cuz i thought they
were going with SpyroXEmber at first, buuuuuuuuuuuuut...

I went something leik this:

*On a platform floating on water in the Dragonfly Falls level, in front of a waterfall*

Ember: *sitting by Spyro, looking into the water*
*sigh* You know Spyro, sometimes when I look into these
waters, I can me with someone I love, what do YOU see?

: *simply* water.

*Cynder swims up*

and it ended there, but they're not gonna put Cynder into
a game without going with SpyroXCynder, so I was ok.

And they were using AHT Spyro, Hunter, and Sparx, and DOTD Cynder!

I don't really care which they do, as long as the don't go back to the old gameplay. If they do, I SWEAR I'm not buying any more of the Spyro games. In order for me to enjoy a game, there has to be a good, long plot (which tLoS lacked on the long part) and fun gameplay, particularly combat. Other than that, I just fall asleep playing the games (I did fall asleep playing Year of the Dragon, literally. And it was 4 pm)

I can't possibly see them going back to the original series.

I could see them doing another reboot though...or just carrying on somehow after the trilogy... They kept the original series going for long enough - I'm sure they'll think of something.

I disagree with the mixture idea! DotD was an attempt at a mixture and it ended up PHAILING, not an EPIC PHAIL like ETD or SL, but a phail nonetheless. <.<;

As for proof, I have none. I was told by some-other-darkspyro-member-that-i-have-forgoten.

But DOTD was voted the most popular game on darkspyro, AND going back the the orgininals would mean getting rid of Cynder, therfore losing 50% of Spyros fans.

Hate to break it to you, but the population of darkSpyro isn't the entire Spyro fanbase. There are plenty more original fans out there on other fansites, and even more who don't go on fansites because they liked the originals better and are uninterested in talking about current Spyro games. The reason TLoS seems to have more fans is because it is current, and people who are interested now will naturally join fansites. The general trend outside of fansites that I've noticed seems to point to the fact that most people think the old Spyro games are better. Simply put, TLoS does not necessarily have more fans than the originals.

And who says they can't add Cynder to original style games?
