It was one year ago today that an akward boy joined a site that gave him access to several great friends, that boy was me and to celebrate my 1 year anniversary on DS, I'm reviving my first ever RP!

Its been a long time since Austin the bat and his friends defeated the Vexas and saved the universe from being destroyed, but a new threat may be on the horizon for our heroes, so Austin contacted his friends to meet him at his house

Appearance: she has black scales with a dark red belly and wing membranes. Occasionally, she can make her wings become feathered for a while with her magic. The color of the feathers are dark blue. Her eyes are red, her horns resemble that of Cynder's, and Chimera's tail tip looks like a gold ring, but it doesn't connect, instead the two ends point out like spears; and there is a dark red gem at the end of her tail (not the spear part).
Personality: Chimera is a very caring dragoness, and she hates to see people in pain. She does have a problem with loving people though, everyone she has cared about has vanished or died. She is very knowledgeable about dark magic. Chimera can be rather fierce and stubborn in fights and about her beliefs, but has made exceptions to remain with her friends. Despite this, she can also be independent.
Powers: element of darkness, magic (including dark magic).

Relationship: Ganter the ice dragon (no plans for them to meet.)

Here are a few characters I fleshed out over an earlier RP I was in with some friends

Name: Xavros Talbot
Nickname (Optional): Gabriel, Xav
Gender: Male
Age: A couple thousand years
Appearance: (Roughly like this) A powerful, rugged looking man with a spiked-looking beard, long lower canines that jut from his lips, grey hair, and gleaming golden eyes. He keeps his lower torso/feet in a more lupine, bipedial form, but can shapeshift his appearance as needed. Normally he wears royal-looking azure clothing, and always has a sword sheathed at his side. His chest bears an unusual set of scars, cracklike ones that shine with a bright light, right over where his heart would be.
Personality: Mysterious, secretive, esoteric, but is also warm, protective and friendly. Has a strong sense of justice. When he warms up to people, he can be friendly and inviting to people, in his own way.
From: OC, based on Magic: The Gathering, used in another casual RP
Special Abilities (Optional): Shapeshifting, walking between planes of existence (although this takes a considerable amount of energy), casting spells of varying natures by tapping into the energies of the land (he is completely inexperienced with any spells that are related to necromancy or darkness, he sees using those as a grave sin), summoning physical manifestations of his bonds with other people (Personae, essentially). He can mirror the abilites of others, although he needs to train to retain the use of such abilities. Can jump between mirrored surfaces as if they were portals (this is significantly less straining but more limited than planeswalking). He also can remember most events of his past in vivid detail (it's the blank gaps that worry him, though). He is unaware that he's an aspect of Light, much like his 'brother' is to Wind, and as such has absolute control over Light in all its forms, as well as dispersing his form into light. He has been capable of time travel, but doesn't plan to use this ability again anytime soon.
Backstory: Known as the King of Mirrors in the worlds he watches over, he wasn't always the strong, mysterious figure that people see him as today. Xavros was raised as an orphan in the town of Avabruck, a medieval town in the land of Innistrad, a plane afflicted by vampires, zombies, demons, and werewolves. He spent time as an apprentice to a blacksmith named Flint, and later joined the ranks of the Cathars of Avacyn's church, in an effort to protect his wife and child. However, he was bitten by a lycanthrope, and later that month awoke to find his family completely missing from his home, with everything in his home clawed and smashed to pieces. Assuming he'd been the one to cause their end, he sought to end his own suffering, and walked to the highest cliff he could find. He hurled himself from the edge, his planeswalker spark igniting just as he was about to perish. After many adventures in other planes of existence, and as he managed to gain control of his lycanthropic condition, he and his new allies sought to return home and help cure the werewolves of his plane by resurrecting the great Archangel, Avacyn herself. While they were successful, and her Cursemute did manage to turn the ferocious werewolves into the noble Wolfir, he had no luck in curing himself, and had unknowingly drawn the shards of a great beast's essence into himself, weakening his control over his lycanthropy, and nearly killing his own allies on numerous occasions. This being eventually took complete control of his body, and revealed itself to be Ventus, the father of all werewolves and the great elder elemental of the wind, and he sought vengeance for a betrayal of eons past. Xav's friends managed to free his will in the battle just enough for him to draw upon the power of the bonds he'd forged with them. After defeating and weakening this great being, however, instead of finishing it off, Xavros offered mercy, and helped his former usurper get back on his feet.
Weapon: He always carries a blade of silver with him, emblazoned with the Collar of Avacyn, that shines with a holy light in his grasp.
Relationship: Bereaved, and single

Nickname (Optional): Ven
Gender: Male
Age: Countless eons old
Appearance: He normally takes the form of a giant white wolf, although when speaking with human-sized beings he takes the form of a white anthropomorphic wolf. If he doesn't wish to be seen, he usually fades into the air around him, or he inhabits Xav's body.
Personality: Proud, fierce, and vengeful during serious situations, but also very lighthearted and easygoing outside of them. REALLY holds grudges (for eons, if the situation demands it).
From: My OC, inspired by a being in Werewolf: The Forsaken, used in another casual RP
Special Abilities (Optional): He can manipulate air and gases to his absolute will, and disperse his own body into pure air. He has the ability to inhabit/possess other bodies to an extent, but only really does this with his friend Xavros. He was once greatly weakened after their fierce battle, but has since regained his strength, and gained the ability to summon a Persona of his own.
Other (Optional): Ventus is the elder elemental of the winds, the mate of a great Moon spirit, and was the father of the original generation of werewolves on Innistrad. As he aged, though, his previous children saw how he was growing weaker, and eventually tried to strike him down for good so he could no longer hold them back in their hunts. However, as he had been slain, his spirit shattered into fragments that possessed his 'children', turning them into mindless, feral beasts that could spread this affliction through their bites. While the transformations were eventually limited to when the fragments were 'riled up' (usually by seeing the full moon, which reminded him greatly of his mate), the moon spirit herself was angered at her childrens' actions, cursing them with a weakness to her most sacred metal, silver. After the archangel Avacyn 'cured' the werewolves, the fragments of his spirit coalesced into another being, the one who still held his affliction. As he reassembled himself inside of Xavros's essence, he was able to influence the werewolf's actions, not only seeking a way to reconstruct his old body, but to make someone, anyone, able to sympathize with his plight, to suffer what he had to suffer through, or if that didn't seem possible, take out every Wolfir descended from his own lineage. After the great battle between the two, Ventus's heart was touched by the 'human's kindness, and the two still work with each other to this day, treating one another as brothers would. Since the great battle, Ventus has come to learn that Xavros was a younger aspect created by Nature (his father), much like himself, although he keeps this a secret.
Weapon: He carries two blades on him that can split into three-bladed claw swords.
Relationship: In a relationship with a moon spirit named Luna.

Name: Hephaestus
Nickname (Optional): Heph
Gender: Male
Age: A few thousand years
Appearance: He appears as an Ifrit clad in armor, although he often appears in regular-looking clothing and his blacksmith attire, as well. He's about eight feet tall, but can tap into his raw emotions to grow in size (and heat)
Personality: Vain, hot-headed, and stubborn; not very good at consoling others, but is good and selfless right to the core.
From: My OC
Special Abilities (Optional): He can planeswalk and shapeshift (like Xavros) but has much more experience with the matter. He can also cast spells, but they tend to be more fiery, more passionate, and spontaneous. He is well versed in both Red and Blue magic, much like the Izzet League of Ravnica. While he can manipulate fire and heat to an extent (as a Fire God, but less so than a greater being), his most notable skill is his ability to craft wonderous weapons and armor, imbuing them with powerful enchantments and forging them with the utmost care. He can manipulate the emotions of others somewhat, 'blessing' them with bursts of passion, anger, insight, or creativity, but rarely being able to calm others down.
Other (Optional): Raised on the Plane of Fire, Fernia, Hephaestus had little time to grow up, his father being the smith-lord of the city put quite a bit of expectations on his shoulders, and he had to constantly compete with his twin sister, Scarlet, for attention and honor. His father sent him to work at a local factory at a young age to help build character, and within a month he was the most productive worker there. However, he was badly injured in an accident, which cost him the use of his right leg. He could have probably saved it if he had taken the rest of the day off to rest and go to a healer, but even in as much pain as he was, he just got right back up and resumed working. He eventually solved this problem by amputating his own leg, and replacing it with a ceramic-based replica, tethering the fire-resistant prosthetic to his nervous system with magic spells. His Planeswalker spark ignited soon after, transporting him to a land called Earth, where others saw him not as an average Ifrit, but as a fiery god. Hephaestus was able to channel this passionate worship into power for himself, increasing his own strength until he was strong enough to stand among the other Gods of the Greek pantheon. More recently, however, he has discovered that his wife, the goddess Aphrodite had been cheating on him with Ares, and has been scheming to get his revenge on the War god.

Appearance: Takes the form of a giant lion (either feral or anthropomorphic), with dusky browns and greys in his fur, rather than the normal golds of a lion), and brilliant green eyes.
Personality: Boisterous, proud, energetic, crude, emotional, and usually kind. He values people with substance, who have much deeper personalities and thoughts than they actively show.
From: My OC
Special Abilities (Optional): He can summon and manipulate earth, stone, coal, crystal, and other minerals to his absolute will, and disperse his own body into such minerals (as such, his body is incredibly heavy), and reform from them. He has the ability to inhabit/possess other bodies to an extent, but never really does this, thinking using another's body is beneath him.
Other (Optional): He doesn't talk about his past much, but it is known that he is the elder elemental of Earth and Stone, and Ventus are very close brothers, and he's had a rough history with Xavros. The two seem to have made amends, however.
Weapon: He carries a giant crystalline hammer, which Xavros claims was once made of stone.

From: OC, based on a custom player character from Phantasy Star Portable 1 and 2.
Special Abilities: Has a nanotransformer full of Photon-based equipment that scales in power with the wearer. Can nanoblast into a larger form under stressful situations. Unlike most Beasts, he is a genius when it comes to technology and programming. Otherwise, is as powerful as a well-muscled human.
Other: He doesn't often like to talk about his past, but some may recognize he was part of the crew of the Clad Six, a security firm that was able to save the Gurhal system from the Ancients. He currently is working as a mercenary/space pirate.

Personality: Skyward is known for being fiercely independent, but if she gains your trust, she can be a loyal friend that lasts a lifetime. She has a slight anger problem, though that's putting it in a nice way.
Powers: Control of the elements of Lightning and Ice, telepathy, and slight control of the Darkness element.
Weapons: None
Relationship: No way!

She also has a black diamond shaped gem on her forehead which is her only weakness (instead of a heart, her gem keeps her alive by flowing energy throughout her body, therefore she can't be killed unless her gem is destroyed) she also wears a purple crystal around her neck which stores energy incase she needs it.
Personality: Kumara is adventurous and brave, some calling her heroic, however she only wants to have fun. She can be stubborn and set on one goal at times but she means well. She can be understanding to those who are her friends and a worst nightmare for those who are against her.
Weapons: She has blades hidden in her wing feathers that can extend at will.
Other: she can't swim due to griffins not being built for swimming, but she is an exceptional flyer.

Background: Originally came from a deep valley until he met Luminas, Ancient Dragon of Light and found out he could switch between dragon and human. He then left his homeland and traveled to a far-away place. He now goes on adventures into different times doing different things with his Time Orb which he keeps in a ring (in human form) and hidden in an ornamental spine (dragon form).
Appearance: Varedis in human form - Varedis in Dragon Form
Special Ability: Can switch between dragon and Man - Can teleport [through Time and Space] - doesn't use in RP though.

Other: When in dragon form, the blades you see him using in human form become part of his wings. When in human form he is able to crawl through extremely tight spaces that people his size wouldn't normally fit in.

[It's not just that. I feel like a lot of these guys are on a superior level of writing to me, and that starts to make me feel insecure about my writing skills. Now, when it's one or two guys, I can handle it, but when it's literally everybody else in the RP, then that's a problem. So, in that scenario, I feel obligated to put my best foot forward. But the problem with that is that I can't just write this stuff up off the top of my head. I have to pace around and take a while to think it up, and then it takes even longer to type. And more often than not, everybody's moving on without me while I'm doing that, and then I look like an idiot trying to catch up. A good chunk of the RPs I've dropped out of were solely because of that. Plus, I just haven't been in much of a roleplaying mood lately.]

Kihei was with Kumara "So, what do you wanna do today?" He asked her before kissing her on the cheek

Mono looked at his brother Chrome, and Chrome looked back with all three pairs of eyes. They were hydrae, which was plural for hydra.

Mono's middle head, which was his fire head spoke, "So, Chrome, what do you feel like doing today."

Chrome's wind head replied, "Why don't we go explore, there's got to be somewhere interesting around here."

Then ice-Chrome replied, "Yeah, but we should be careful."

"You are always the careful one." Electric-Chrome sighed.

"Well, we could go for a fly," Kumara replied, "maybe we'll find something to do?"

"Sounds good" Kihei said when he heard his phone ring, he went over and looked "Austin needs us, apparently something bad might be going to attack" He said

Austin petted his pet dog Chocolate as he waited for everyone

Mono and Chrome looked at Virtu, and all six heads said, "Hey Virtu and Ki."

The hydra brothers smiled at each other, amused by their sychronicity.

"We're going to see Austin, apparently someone evil is out there that needs to be stopped" Ki said "Wanna come with?"

Kihei led Kumara toward Austin's house

Xavros read the 'help' letter closely, as he walked towards Austin's house, a whistling breeze brushing past him.

"You know, Xav" a fierce voice spoke, carried on the wind, "Just because you get a request for help doesn't mean you have to take it."

"This isn't a matter of need, but of want." Xavros said, walking onward as he spoke to the winds. "I wouldn't be much of a king if I didn't listen to even the smallest pleas of help, after all."

Kumara followed behind curiously, "I wander what this is about?"

Mono's three heads nodded, and his water head said, "I do believe that the situation at paw is likely to solvable the bigger the group is. It's only a pity that evil can't be reasoned with, I do hate having to fight."

Mono's earth head replied with, "While peace is desirable, it can hardly ever be obtained through mere words alone."

"I hear you Mono" Virtu said

"I don't know" Kihei responded as they arrived at Austin's

"Its open guys" Austin yelled outside

Varedis was walking around reading the letter. "Come on Chromatus, let's go..." he said, and then sat on Chromatus' back. Chromatus proceeded to shake him off, "You can turn dragon and fly yourself, I'm not your mount," he groaned. Varedis got on again and sat between the wings behind his central head, "I need to read the directions in the letter and I can't do that in dragon form.!" Chromatus growled but took off, making the flight extra bumpy for Varedis, Onyxia followed, laughing.

Eventually Chromatus said, "Alright, the heat is getting to me, I'm hallucinating now, we need to land!" Onyxia laughed, "What heat Chromatus? I'm cold, what are you hallucinating?" Chromatus frowned, "I'm serious, look at that ridge down there, I see two hydras, two. I've never seen another hydragon in my life and now I see two, I must be hallucinating.!" Varedis pulled out a telescope, "No, I can see them too, let's go down, and say hello, maybe Nefarian is sending you a present..

They descended and landed down on the ground, "Hi!" shouted Chromatus, I'm Chromatus, who are you?" Varedis hung back with Onyxia, Varedis sighed, "He looks like a dribbling fool seeing a girl after a thousand years in a cave with only males. We should intervene before he tries to kiss them, they're both male." But Onyxia just shook her head, "No, let him, he isn't that desperate, I doubt he'd go for a kiss without looking them up and down and finding out their gender."

Both Mono and Chrome were surprised to see Chromatus, another hydra, "Wow, another hydra, and I thought it was just the two of us." Chrome's middle head, the ice head, said.

"Well, six of us technically." His electric head replied.

Meanwhile, Chimera was walking around, exploring this new place, when she saw Chromatus decend nearby, and she made her way to him.

The dark dragoness had a theory, and said to Chromatus and Varedis, "Dimensions are fun." She wondered if they would understand.

Varedis jumped in shock, "Where did you come from? Wait a minute, dimensions are fun? In my experience, some are actually quite painful, I had some bad experiences in a lot of them, quite usually battles and fights, I think only 1 in 5 were fun."

Chimera tilted her head, "So, would this be one of those dimensions where you don't recognize me?" She wasn't paying attention to the other, she wanted to know if her theory was true.

"No... I remember you... wait... Chimera, yes, I recognize you."

She has crystal blue eyes and her face is dotted with dark freckles. She wears a black leotard with a red zip up trench coat that goes to her knees. She also wears thigh high tall white stockings with bows on the top and red high top convers. She has pale olive skin and always has her nails painted a random color.
Personality:
She is super quirky and loves to lighten dull moods by doing anything she can to make people smile. She looks really happy all the time but is hiding her emotions constantly hating it when people see her cry. She also has a set off that makes her go berzerk and get really mad. On the other hand when she is around people or someone that makes her really happy she can zone out and have ditzy day dreams and get lost in her own little world.
Power:
She is a shadow illusionist. She uses shadows to cast deadly illusions. Most of her shadow attacks are for distraction and dont deal damage but if she is really mad or scared her shadows can kill.
Weapon:
She uses a long fencing sword that is extremely sharp.

Xavros looked up from the piece of paper, surprised to see that many hydras before him. The bit of discussion about other dimensions piqued his interest, however, and the bestial man saw it fitting to approach them. "Yes, there are quite a few dimensions, and I've found quite a few of them enjoyable. I'm personally fond of Shandalar, Alara, and Theros myself."

His posture was very formal, and he had the air of royalty to his demeanor, clearly unafraid and unsurprised by the draconic figures present. A smile formed on his lips, warm in spite of the lower canines that jutted from them. "If I may... would any of you happen to know an, erm, 'Austin'?"

Varedis nodded, "Yes, we were going to him now"

Chimera smiled at them, "Good, I was wondering if you two traveled through dimensions, like I do."

The two hydrae watched them with interest, not knowing what to say.

Varedis nodded to Chimera, "Yes, we do, we would've taken Nefarian with us but he wanted to stay with his family for a while, but Onyxia wanted to come.

Chimera nodded, and looked at Onyxia, "Nice to see you again."

Chrome asked with all three heads, "Are we missing something here? I'm Chrome in case you guys were wondering."

Chimera looked at the white hydrae, "Oh, sorry, I'm Chimera, this is a bit of a reunion deal."

"I see, well the name is Mono, and Chrome is my brother." Mono's middle head, the fire head, replied.
