Since the old one was closed a while back, I thought I'd make another.
This is the topic where you can post the shinies you have found and any stories involving them. I'll start!
I found a shiny Raticate from my pearl, as well as a shiny bibarel that I accidentally ran away from
While grinding for EXP in my Black, I came across a shiny Audino
In my X, I chain fished a shiny Poliwhirl and a shiny Clawitzer. I found a shiny Ledyba while looking for all of the synchronizers. I found a shiny Swirlix via PokeRadar that I accidentally killed which haunts me to this day . While trying to reclaim that, a shiny Croagunk appeared and I just said "**** Swirlix* I then found a shiny Diggersby and a shiny female Riolu on the same day in the Friend Safaris, as well as a shiny Golurk, shiny Sneasel, and then a shiny Garbodor (7 encounters after sneasel)
In my Omega Ruby
I found a random shiny Audino ( ) on a mirage island, I chain fished a Magikarp, Sharpedo, and a Barboach. I DexNav chained a Skarmory (chain 87), Shiny Surskit (chain 500), and a shiny Kecleon (chain 21). I also found a shiny Golbat while horde hunting for Ariados.

Leaf Green:
Rhyhorn: First shiny I ever saw, wanted it so bad. Was in the Safari Zone and fled.

Black:
Next shiny I found, Audino on Route 9 while level grinding. I don't think I'd even beaten the game yet. Didn't attempt weakening, just threw an Ultra Ball and caught it. First shiny obtained.

X:
Hatched a Gastly using Masuda method after 12 eggs. Used it through most of the game's story and it is now my prized Gengar.
Found a Geodude in a horde around the 7th Gym. (Has since been traded)
Found a Druddigon in Victory Road. (Has since been traded)
Found a Spinda in a horde post-game. (Has since been traded)

^I wish I could get shinies that easily via Masuda Method, I hatched well over 2000 eggs in my X with a Korean Ditto and nothing, hopefully that will change in ORAS

Back in Fire Red, I came across a Shiny Caterpie but I ran from it accidently, being my first ever shiny.

In Platinum, I soft resetted for a Shiny Piplup (579 SR's), and chained for a Shiny Beldum.
In Soul Silver, I soft resetted for a Shiny Starter, found Shiny Chikorita (1,942 SR's), soft resetted for a Shiny Lugia (213 SR's), and randomly found a Shiny Meowth.
In X, I found a Shiny Dunsparce, Shiny Druddigon, Shiny Shelgon (now Salamence in AS), and Shiny Manectric (now in AS). Chain fished and found 3 Shiny Relicanth, Shiny Seadra (now a 100% Critical hit Kingdra in AS), and Shiny Skrelp.
In AS, I soft resetted for a Shiny Zekrom, finally finding it after 953 SR's.

I encountered my first Shiny Pokemon in LeafGreen, a Shiny Fearow, while I was exploring the Sevii Islands. I ended up capturing it after weakening it and inflicting a status ailment on it. My next Shiny encounters came in Diamond (Machop - evolved into Machoke), HeartGold and SoulSilver SoulSilver (Rattata - evolved into Raticate and Pidgey - fully evolved into Pidgeot), X (Miltank, Mareep - fully evolved into Ampharos w/Ampharosite, and Nosepass - evolved into Probopass), and Y (Skrelp - evolved into Dragalge). I also have the event Shiny Palkia and Giratina in addition to the event Shiny Beldum in Omega Ruby.

Aside from the Red Gyarados and Steven's Metagross I've got nothing. I did have a complete Pokédex in Diamond at one point, but I lost that game and any chances of getting a Shiny Charm in the new games. >.>

Found my missing game, so I'm going to give a more accurate list.

In Soul Silver, found a shiny Pidgey, and even encountered a shiny Entei.
In my White version, I encountered a shiny Purrloin at the very beginning, but I accidentally fainted it... ;.; Then, about 2 years later I was leveling up my Pokemon and came across a shiny Liepard. I must have been given a second chance with that Purrloin, and it came back to me. :'3
Also, in my White version, I found a shiny... Bibarel.... Quite possibly one of the worst shinies to encounter... :c
So far, in my OR, I've caught a shiny Cacnea. I didn't even realize it was shiny at first, because I was distracted by texting while the battle came up, so I didn't see the little shiny animation thing go off. I pick up my DS and I was like "Wait...Cacnea ain't brown. OMG a shiny?"
Also, I was able to hatch a shiny Charmander using the Mesuda method, after my 34th attempt. I was so happy, twas my first ever shiny hatching.. :"3 I named him Obsidian. ^^
Oh, also forgot to mention I got a random shiny Psyduck via Wonder Trade.

I found a Shiny Amoonguss about a year ago in Pokemon Y.

In Platinum I encountered my first shiny, a Magikarp in that special lake, so it was around level 64 or something. Of course I evolved it right before HG/SS were announced and I had no idea about the in-game event shiny Gyarados.

In White I SR'd for a shiny Tepig which only took 15 tries surprisingly enough.

In X I found a shiny Weedle in the main game, then;
Friend Safari: shiny Electabuzz, Leopard, Swirlix, Eevee (three times, but one fainted), Growlith, Duosion, Pacharisu and I think there was one or two more, but I can't remember which ones they were. :S
Chain Fishing: Horsea
Masuda Method/IV Breeding: Marill and Shinx.

And for events I got: Suicune, Raikou, Dialga, Gengar and Beldum.

I masuda'd for weeks to get my shiny hydreigon in X

I've had my shiny Gallade since Gen IV where I got it as a lv. 100 male ralts over GTS.

I found a shiny yanma in a horde.

Currently soft-resetting for shiny Kyurem in ORAS

Sapphire: Granite cave, My first shiny, Aron. I caught it, and evolved it into a lairon, but I reset the game later and didn't transfer it over.

Route 129, Wingull, second shiny. I caught it, evelvoed it into a peliper but I reset the game later and didn't transfer it over.

Pearl: That one route between Snowpoint city and Mt. Coronet, Shiny Medicham. I caught it, but I reset the game later and didn't transfer it over.

TLR I caught 3 shinies, reset the game, don't have any now.

I haven't encountered very many Shinies in game.

Platinum: I was either surfing or fishing across one of the areas, and I came across a Shiny Tentacruel. My DS fell to the ground and the game crashed. :c

Black: I was fishing for Milotic when I came across a Shiny Feebas.

Diamond: I did the soft reset trick to catch a Shiny Uxie.

You can catch them, they're just extremely rare. I did manage to find one after about 15 straight minutes of fishing.

The worst thing happened to my brother. He was hatching for a competitive Frosslass and he accidentally hatched a shiny Snorunt. It had the HA (moody, which would have become Cursed Body), the perfect IV's (all but attack) and the perfect nature(timid) , BUT IT WAS MALE, so he raised it in his AS during the story mode as a Glalie.

I imagine it would probably be really easy to find a Shiny Feebas in ORAS... maybe I should try that? *depressed sigh*

I got a Shiny Quagsire in Pokemon Y.

It sure is one pink pimp.

Hatched- fennekin, rotom, eevee (female now vaporeon), flabebe, and a few more. The eevee and flabebe are perfect 5iv
received from wt... too many to count
I have a lot of others that I'm too lazy to list, but got a shiny absol in ruby, and hatched a shiny female zoroark in white

Also have event ones and set shinies you find as storyline... I dont count those as real ones though

My friend and I are actively catching shinies daily because we're dumb lol.

Last night I got a shiny remoraid (looking for clampearl but oh well lol) on a chain of 152

The night before we stoped at starbucks for a girls night of chatting and coffee and i drew a mega shiny altaria while horde hunting and got a shiny hoppip.

She's been looking in hordes for a spheal but instead she's caught 6 shiny zubats.

Annnd besides that in the last week i've gotten shiny vulpix, eevee, chatot, annd leveled my shiny swablu into a sexy altaria.

My first and only shiny was a Tentacool in Soul Silver.Not knowing what a shiny was I killed it immediately.Also there was the Gyrados but that does not count.

Now that I've found my copy of X, I can tell all of the shiny Pokemon I have. I know nothing about chaining or the methods other people use. Every now and then I use a Japanese ditto to breed in the hopes of a shiny, but that's never worked. All of these are completely accidental or event Pokemon.

I have the red Gyrados from Gold/Silver that everyone can get.

I've caught shiny geodude, pidgey, emolga, gible, panpour, phantump, and ferroseed. From the replacement copy of Y I had bought just days before finding mine, I got a shiny Dunsparce, shiny Vivillon and shiny Spinda.

From random trades (never had anything to give that was good, but people have given them away for anything in return) I've been given shiny Flareon, shiny Shellder, shiny Charmeleon, shiny Shaymin, shiny Mewtwo and shiny Regigigas.

I've been given a shiny Japanese event Genesect and shiny Japanese event Jirachi. A kindly member here (I don't remember who) gave me a shiny event Palkia and shiny event Giratina that I missed from Gamestop.

I've also downloaded the following shiny event pokemon: Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Dialga, Pichu and Beldum. I forgot to do the shiny Gengar from Gamestop, so I missed that one

And in Alpha Saphire, I found and caught a Shiny Zigzagoon! It's the first Shiny I've used on a team. It's now a Linoone named Fabulous. B3

I'm guessing because, instead of blue wings, the shiny wings are pink. So I can see an 8 year old thinking that blue wings are for the boys and pink wings are for the girls... and all of their cooties.

Cresselia is obtainable without event items in Sinnoh, and is in B2/W2, and OR/AS.
