What does everyone have agastit Ember, ya shes annoying but only for the little part in AHT. I just like her because my favouite colour is pink and I like dragons and shes the two of them.

I love her! She's soooo sweet! I don't like the pink though but she's cute because of it!

Ember's just pure annoying in my opinion with her being all flirty and pink and like some sort of puff princess. It just gets on my nerves. I mean, when I come to her in AHT I leiterally say "oh. God....it's Ember..." under my breath. I normally say her name in a saracastic tone as well

her name is alright, but only for a female dragon that looks like Flame.

and i agree 100% with Pyro Girl, she took the words right out of my mind.

when i get to her on AHT, i just egnore her and walk STRAIGHT past....but i have to smash the gem in the end. when i have all the ember eggs i turn into ember and stand infront of an enemy and let her die.(i sit with popcorn)

when you have to rescue her in SL, i didnt save her for weeks...but then i finally just gave up and freed her...but didnt talk to her!

I don't hate Ember. Not to say that I love her. And she doesn't look like Flame. Flame is a basic clone of Spyro with dyed skin and baidge wings.

As a little side note, I like rotating the camera so that the character faces you, and attack the screen. Especially as Agent 9 in YotD. If I was to make a YouTube video about beating the Bailey Gang, I'd most certainly end it with Agent 9 pointing at the screen and me saying "The end is now" and shooting then ending the video.

Plus, I like RedDevilDazzy's YotD video, especially the ending bit when Spyro is toasted.

I know what some people mean about annoying characters though. I mean, in Okami, whenever Waka turns uo now I'm all: "Oh God, it's that half-baked prophet again!" My mother was laughing at me for telling him to b****r off again. Funny, not!

I don't have anything personal against Ember. But I think that she's just that kind of character that has been created in lack of inspiration... I mean that the creator has forced him/herself to do Ember's character. But if I had any personal against Ember it would be that she's stealing Spyro from Elora!

So Ember is character that has been created to fill very tiny hole in Spyro series and Ember is a big time succubus.

Let me be bluntly honest, Lover of Spyro, when I say the TRUE REASON why you hate her is because of how she was developed. Honestly, how can you hate a character you don't know much about? Huh...? No one knows much about Ember due to the fact that 0 percent of effort and time was devoted to develop her. The same could be said about Flame. The fans tend to keep saying the same things over and over again like a blasted broken record.

As for Cynder and Spyro being the PERFECT COUPLE... Yes, the new Spyro and Cynder are perfect for each other. However, the original Spyro wouldn't work well with Cynder due to a slight case of arrogance that he picked up overtime. This is another issue that fans have complained about. Well, I didn't like how Spyro became arrogant either but at least I willing to say that it was a tad bit on the realistic side considering how often Spyro has defeated his enemies. No hero is immune to the 'Swollen Head aka Arrogant Virus or bug' they tend to get overtime. Spyro has never faced a TRUE enemy that was a challenge for him to beat. This is the single greatest fault for a hero such as him. To go on winning streak and never lose would make anyone think they were unbeatable after a while.

I always thought that Spyro's head was a little too big and round... now I know why that is! (ha,ha) But I'm not saying anything bad, I like Spyro as he is.

Whoa jamieque! (That makes total sense now!) And Spyro was a little full of himself - the new Spyro's a lot cuter cos he hasn't done much yet! What they should do is keep dumping him in the deep end so he doesn't know what's gonna hapen next, therefore he doesn't get so arrogant!

Ember was a last-minute addition because of fans' complains of lack of Elora. Thus, they chucked on a replacement. In the original demo, Tomas took her place. Really, she wasn't going to be in it at all.

I don't really like her, because of that.

: OBJECTION! What jamieque is saying is the decisive piece of evidence. The point is, she's underdeveloped. She had TWO WHOLE TEXT BOXES in AHT, and was portrayed as a two-times with Spyro/Bandit. If the original Spyro series is to be continued, it would leave a perfect opportunity to develop Ember into a lovable character, like several Spyro Fan-Fictions do.

A certain jemieque brought out the most important point in this case:

Ember was not developed, period.

Personally, I think this is a shame. Ember could have been an extremely interesting character.

... and please do not speak of Shadow Legacy's version. I mean... what little of Ember was explained in A Hero's Tail is contradicted in 5 seconds by Shadow Legacy's. In fact, it shows even more laziness than the original's lack of development... but then, I consider Shadow Legacy to be, alongside Enter the Dragonfly, the worst game of the serie and a big reason why many fans dropped out of the serie and/or became paranoid toward the newer games.

But well... there is not much to hate about Ember although not much to love. But well, a pink female dragon in love with Spyro is a potentially good character... and well, as far as pairings go, she make a lot more sense than a faun. But well, that is just me and anyway, the old-school Spyro turned out way too arrogant and selfish by the end of the old serie to be a viable partner in any pairing, period.

As for Ember being introduced in the newer games... I doubt it. She is basically already there, indirectly, as Cynder. I mean... their designs are relatively similar except that Cynder is black and, unlike Ember, actually developed.

But well, overall, that is my view on the issue. If you agree or at least find it interesting, then cheers! Else, well, thank you for the read anyway.

i agree with spyro_lover17. i like ember. she is nice and i enjoy playing as her on AHT.

I like Ember! I mean... look at my username and icon. I just like that they finally put in a girl dragon in the game! I think she's the first... plus, I just like the way she looks. True, her voice isn't that great, but I love her existence.

As many of you do know Ember has been getting some major development in Dragon of Destiny and trust me when I say that by the end of Season Six you guys are going to not even recognize her as the same character she was before. She has already come a long way since the beginning of the series. The character has totally revamped and toned down from cutesy personality she had before. Of course the reason this has happen is because Ember is much older now and she has grown out of her so-called 'CRUSH' stage. Also, notice that now she is starting to develop actual backbone.

I know many of you were probably surprised when Bandit showed up and he and Ember talked to each other briefly in passing. Well, since I didn't use the Shadow Legacy story as it was I was able to come up with a very interesting take on both characters. I felt that the way Ember fell for Bandit after it was established in A Hero's Tale that she actually liked Spyro was just wrong. Why must every female lead that falls for either Hunter or Spyro get toss aside into the Black Hole of No Return. I hated what they did to Ember in Shadow Legacy. They made her look like a two-timing whore and that was disrespectful to her character. I hate when new characters are introduced and then never use to their fullest potential.


What a waste...


I bet you guys like my take on Ember better... Right? She is much more likable and her character is actually developing for change. Plus, as everyone has noticed that fight Spyro had with Reeco where he got ass handed to him literally has deflated his ego and knocked arrogance right out him. He is back to being the Spyro we all love with an added plus... Now he is even bigger badass with more powers and abilities that are actually evolving along with him as the series progresses. Oh and don't you like Flame now that he has had some development. Hell, even Hunter and Bianca have had their secret childhoods brought to light and those childhoods, while tragic, both shaped our beloved couple into the individuals they are today.

I've actually come to enjoy working with Ember in my Fan Fiction. HOWEVER... she does not end up with Spyro... I just thought less people portrayed her with Flame... so that's what I'm doing.

This would be my favorite bit of small dialog between Spyro and Ember.

“How much longer do we have to keep doing this?” Ember cried, panting from the effort. Spyro drops his head in defeat.

“This is all my fault… again.” He said as he let himself get hit by another of Gate’s red energy balls. Ember runs over to him.

“Spyro! Snap out of it! You can’t give up now! We’re trying just as hard as you… we’re not mad at you! You weren’t acting on your own free will when you upgraded him! Just help us stop him.” She reached her hand out to help him up, but is blasted by a much larger energy beam from Gate. He laughs.

“Just keep this up Spyro. You’re turning your friends into sitting ducks for me!” Ember slowly lifted her head up, struggling with the effort.

“Spyro… you can beat him… I believe in you…” She finishes and her head slams down on the ground with a thud. Spyro turn to Gate, no thoughts other than anger racing through his mind.

Then again... I still don't know what's going to happen when I come to The Ultimate Enemy 2, and Guy, Cyrus, and Count Bleck brainwash her, Flame, and Cynder to try to and psychologically take Spyro down. >.>

RWD, I so know what you mean about Wakka in Okami! Man, I hate him. >( I also hated Issun for a while, but after a few hours of gameplay, he started to grow on me.

As for Ember... I've never played AHT (and am not likely to, since I have never heard anything good about that game). The one cutscene I've seen with her makes me lean heavily towards disliking her. She was rude, pushy, and that particular Tara Strong voice has always gotten on my nerves. If she had a better personality, I could probably like her.

Design-wise, she's okay. She looks, alas, somewhat deformed by my accustomed standards of Spyro dragon design. Her face is so squished on the sides and her legs are placed oddly. Also, I'm not fond of the color pink, but she pulls it off well enough. I give her props for wearing jewelry; that necklace/collar is cute.

Well, Razz, Ember's updated movie design will correct the mistakes that were in the original game model. He face is no longer so squished and her horns have been slightly adjusted to be of actual use. The reason is due to the fact she is now older since the film takes place 2 years after AHT ended.

Of course... and you can logically say her muscles developed or something like that... I think. >.>

I guess I like her a bit and I don't understand all the hatred for her either . She has barely any personality (aside from that she seems to get infatuated rather easy) but what she has isn't entirely loathsome in my opinion (lots of little girls get crushes and act that way so it doesn't seem THAT unacceptable). Anyway, everyone is entitled to their opinion

Heh, it's kind of weird how the female dragons get the most attention. Everyone hates Ember and everyone loves Cynder. WHY exactly?
