Figured I would put this up since there might be deals up and coming soon. By deals, I mean, any kind of bonus associated with buying the starter pack. You all work hard for your money, same as I...where you going to spend it at? Why? Lets not forget we got the Dark Starter Pack dumped on us a little later than the rest on swap force ( ticked me off ) . As of now, Target seems the best of choice considering hands on, fully functional , playable bonus. TRU has the legendary treasure but it seems as if they are only giving out Giants or , Swap Force merchandise...

I personally preordered at Gamestop for $5 for the free Wind-up, but if a better offer comes along, I'll just ask them to put that $5 towards another game or the Gear Shift I preordered as well.

Right now I have my main console pre-order is at Target. The 3DS pre-order is at Toys R Us. GearShift is via Amazon.

Gamestop can burn to the ground given the last experience I had at their store. I will never step foot in their stores again. If I need anything in terms of an exclusive from them, I'll find a way to order it online. Otherwise I'll ask for it as a gift or something.

- told me that at least at this time, they'll allow people to get whatever they want Skylanders wise, up to the value that comes up on the code. Including the new Trap Team figures. Assuming the minimum value is still around 10.99 or something, hopefully I can basically get a free corelander of my choice. Otherwise its just the 3DS version, so I can just cancel it, if thats not the case on release day. Then I'll just pick up the 3DS version later.

I dont know if thats going to be a company policy or just the store I generally frequent. So take it with a grain of salt and check with you local TRU directly. This year my TRU has been seriously on the ball with the Skylanders stuff. I've gotten 95% of my purchases from them, minus other store exclusives. The employee is a fan of the series as well, so I'm expecting him to keep informed on how the store is doing things. Hopefully this holds true and this special is as he reads being basically just a coupon you get, the actual value being slightly random.

there are no pre-order bonus' currently available at any stores in australia, usually only JB Hifi and EB games(gamestop) have a pre-order bonus, while other stores, k-mart/target/bigW/TRU, have a bonus to purchase on the release day, usually a free figure, thats what the case was with Swap Force.

I'm pretty sure EB games(games) and JB Hifi are going to have a pre-order bonus, just waiting till a little closer to the release day to see what they come up with.

Me I only have the toysrus promo. But preorder there just for a free 25.99... I'll wait to see a variant. I would like to get outlaw BaC but there's no card where I am

I'm gonna wait for something to have a bonus but if there isn't a bonus I'll order from tesco because I can click and collect it 500 yards from my house

I'm going to pre-order Trap Team at my Gamestop/EB Games like I did with Swap Force. I plan to put a handful of dollars towards it every week. And by the time it's out, I should have it all paid off. Maybe I'll see if Gearshift is still available for pre-order once I have collected all the swappers.

So still no big deals. I saw most of these already and was wondering if there was anything that I have missed. Guess I will wait a little longer and check what deals are being offered. Might have to try and pre-order the gear shift as she is not coming out till 2015 if you don't pre order her. Besides that its up in the air for me on what to do.

Plopped down a buck at both Target and TRU. I'll keep an eye out closer to release for any sort of special promotions or whatever. Right now I think Target wins it for me with the special villain.

However, I'm not sure if I'll have the money for it. I'd like to hope so, but worst case scenario, I just buy the game on sale again on Black Friday or with some sort of bogo promo at a store. Last year I picked up SF with Super Mario 3D World at TRU which was awesome.

Why would I pre-order when I could just wait for it to get cheap? I waited for Swap Force, and it's currently only $35 on Amazon.

I will till about a month out before deciding. I'm a little surprised that we have not heard better deals yet, since DI 2.0 comes with a free figure just about everywhere on pre-order. Perhaps the reason is that stores are still working out deals on variant figures, while DI 2.0 only has variants with TRU.

So far I have a card from Target and some money down on a preorder from Gamestop. It's really going to depend on what Gamestop offers for their bonus. If it's good, then the Xbox version from them and the 3DS version from Target. Otherwise, if Gamestop has nothing worth my time then I'll wait on the 3DS and get the Xbox with my target preorder card.

Still waiting. Maybe Target. Even though I am not a huge fan of Gamestop, I am hoping that they come out with a Dark Edition of the game. I will go for that first this time around.

Well, it depends. I'll either preorder form target or TRU, depending on the TRU deal. And that's on,y if I have enough money from my birthday.

And if Gear Shift is still available for preorder, I'll probably get her from amazon or something.

Walmart has a free movie rental from Vudu, $4.99 value, with pre-order.

Eggers - I dont think that Target will allow you to get in on the pre-order bonus with another system that is not stated on your card and/or receipt. Only reason I know this is because I went in and accidentally grabbed a Wii card, paid for it then came back and asked them if it really mattered ( i wanted a xbox 360 order ). They told me it did matter because it would get all screwed up in their system. Whatever that means. You should probably call them and see what kind of policy they have on that. Better to know now then on 10/05.

It looks like EB Games/Gamestop doesn't have a pre-order bonus where I'm at in Canada yet. I'm guessing it's most likely a free Wind-Up based on what I'm seeing here on this topic. I plan to get Sheep Wreck Islands this summer and another Wind Up would be nice for the second path and repaint! I'm also guessing a free store exclusive sidekick offer to go with my second Wind Up just like the pre-order bonus for Swap Force.

I highly doubt that Wind Up is their bonus, otherwise they sure did get the shaft this year. I have to imagine that they will be getting something else, because I thought that free Wind Up was just on their Skylanders Day. Is it still being offered?

I'm going to wait and preorder it at GS, probably, It all depends on if they get a collector's edition or not.

Go to any store and go to the skylanders section. Then look araound.

I have mine pre order at EB but I may change depending on pre order bonus which haven't been announced for Australia yet.

i see no reason what so ever to pre-ordering something you dont knew anything about. if they dont want to give out info, there is no reason that people should order the game in good faith. its activision the guitar hero fiasco your dealing with here after all. why give them your trust without activision proving they are serious about trap team??... i for sure dont throw money blindly at this. as of now activision are just siting on their butt and dont give us anything. there is no reason to give money to them before they deliver.

There are plenty of reasons to pre-order. Remember, this is a kids game, so if you're a parent with kids you order it for them. My kids are going to enjoy this regardless of what they know about it right now. Second, you can get an extra trap, figure, or whatever with preorder. You may not care about that reason, but it is a reason none the less. Third, it's highly unlikely, but they may not have enough stock at go live, and this will guarantee your copy. 4th, in some cases, having a pre-order can make check out easier then buying in full on the day it goes live. 5th, the preorder is very cheap in some cases. $5 isn't exactly a waste. To say it's throwing money blindly is just not accurate. We do know quite a bit about the game and know from based games a certain amount of what can be expected.

There are reasons to wait as well. Perhaps you want to wait for a sale, or this is going to be a Christmas present. Or perhaps like you, you're concerned that it won't be worth your money. Perhaps you want to wait till a patched up version comes out.

Here's the funny thing about pre-orders. If you change your mind before the release, you can cancel it and get your money back, or transfer it to something else.

you dont get the big picture here, do you pay for something blindly before seeing it?... a house, car, food, clothes etc... i think you do not. because you expect some sort of standard and quality. there is no reason not to do the same with software from a company that make millions from games.

I NEED to preorder it since it is what my kid wants for his birthday. Big picture or not. So melvimbe has a point. If it was simply for me I seriously doubt I would've ever gotten into skylanders in the first place. Why spend money on a kids game when I can buy say....GTA 5?? Why spend money on figures when I can grab a bottle of booze, some ciggys, a tasty bite to eat at the local cockroach infested restaurant and so on....

it will be available in the stores to buy, it just dont simply disappear when it have a release date...

Maybe so, Count. However, pre-ordering some of these at particular locations will give you a certain something extra that will not be available throughout the retail shelf life. Since I am a lock to purchase it , I would prefer to get something, anything really, in exchange for my commitment to purchase from said vendor.

Again, you ignore all the reasons to pre-order (claiming that there are none), because to you, you must get more details before you buy anything and that trumps everything else. I get your big picture, but your big picture is not my big picture. For me, I want the extra goodie tied in, I want my kids to have the buildup of knowing we're going to get it day one, and will probably be their when the store opens, the same as we were for Swap Force. Those are memories the kids and I won't forget, even if the game doesn't meet up with expectations.

And no, I won't buy a house or car without checking it out, but I would for food and clothes to an extent, and have, especially when I have bought from that company before.

I preordered from the store Target for the free trap.

I just pre-ordered from Target for the tree trap. It's a good deal too. I will though get the Collector's edition if Gamestop gets it

Where can I get Outlaw B&C in the UK?

I'm thinking I will order somewhere that comes with gearshift. TRU is across the street from my work so it's really convenient, but I haven't preordered yet. I saw the preorder cards yesterday and it looked like you had to chose between Gear Shift or the random prize, but I didn't ask anyone as I am not ready to commit. Is there a collector's edition or anything like the dark starter kit with swap force? I've googled but I haven't seen anything.

My pre-order is going to Best Buy, sometime in September after all the bonuses and promotions have had a chance to rise to the surface. It may go elsewhere if something really special appears as a bonus elsewhere, but it is hard to overcome the 20% Gamer's Club discount I get at Best Buy on games and figures - and if they have some other discount it stacks with that as well. I have a pre-order for Gearshift there already for $11.99. They aren't the best on in store stocking, but it'll be ok for release and I'm not getting everything this year - just the ones we like and it helps they don't jack up the price like Gamestop and TRU.

I'm getting the game, but bargains are going to drive purchase decisions much more than in past years for me.

I think we'll pre-order from Target but we haven't decided which next gen console we are going to get yet. I'm leaning toward PS4 at the moment but I really like the Xbox 360 controller so much better than the PS3. I guess I'll need to try out the demo units in store to see if PS4 has a better controller than PS3.

Still doesn't look like the UK has any pre-order bonuses yet :-(

It's weird that TRU.com has Gear Shift for straight pre-order without having to pre-order the game. So I pre-ordered her there and will likely pre-order the game from Target for the free Trap.

Far as I can tell, you can preorder Gear Shift separately everywhere.

ATM I currently have every system there is prordered at target. x3 nintendo, x2 microsoft, x2 playstation. However I plan to hand off a few of those to friends and family that decide at lst min they want the game.

Does Target have preorder cards for Outlaw B&C for the 3DS pack?

I'm not pre-ordering. I'm just gonna wait for Gearshift in 2015
