Heck no, I would rather be thrown off a cliff bleeding into a pool of thousands of piranhas and be killed slowly than watch that movie.

No offense.

I have not seen it yet, although I will if my family ever decide to go to the movies again. If not, then I'll get it when it's on DVD. It looks like a nice movie smilie

I was gonna wait for DVD, but when I noticed it had a rating of 9.0 on IMDb and reading some good reviews, I wanted to see it in theaters. The only other movie I can remember with a 9.0 rating was The Dark Knight, and some consider that the best superhero movie ever. (Although, I prefer The Avengers.)

EDIT: Now the rating is down to an 8.8, but that's still pretty good

I really want to but "1 adult for The Lego Movie" doesn't sound like a great thing to say to a movie vendor.

I just got back from seeing it. Spoilered for all dem things in the second paragraph.

First off, THE VISUALS OH MY GOD. It was so alive and spectacular that sitting close to the screen like I was made my head spin. Not that it's a bad thing. I just really loved the visuals. You can't really explain them in text; you have to see them for yourself.

It was also hilarious, and the writing was good in general. Besides Lucy and Emmet getting together at the end (when batman was mentioned as her boyfriend i was hoping the entire time that it wouldn't happen) I loved the entire movie. The moral was spectacular and surprisingly grown up, something that I was not expecting. It was funny, and I laughed at nearly every joke (and even some things that might not have been meant as a joke). Loved how they sort of jabbed a bit of fun at some of the lego products. I actually was not expecting that ending.....I was expecting Emmet to win the first time. But I was surprised when he kept losing and losing, and then it turned out he wasn't the hero at all! However, he was inspiring, and he played a major part in saving the day even though he wasn't the one who ultimately did.

In the end, it was a great movie. Hope I can buy the DVD so I can catch anything I missed!

Well said. I saw the movie a little while ago and I agree. ^.^
The only thing, and I put this on the LEGO Movie thread in Idle Chatter...
The ending kinda fell apart (no pun intended..?). I mean, the message overall was to think for yourself, but that's not really how they saved the world and concluded the movie. I dunno. Otherwise, it was a really fun movie!

Yeah, I guess that's true.

At the same time, though, I thought that the other lesson was great. The one that's in Emmet's speech to Lord Business.

But it was still very fun, yes!

That real life scene though
