Have you ever sat there, staring at that hoard of gems and thought "if only these had a solid purpose besides inflating egos"? Of course, you have! Now, with this suggestion gems will have much wanted purpose within these forums, and it would, as I think, help reduce clutter and give more advantages to us older users. I'll make this quick.
It would go on, just like this, with notable advantages for users with thousands of gems, and perhaps promotions. This would give us old users the respect and generally what we deserve because the fact that we've been on a small website longer than most really is important. It would also help reduce spam, and soliciting through PMs.
Now I understand that the post allowance may seem a little large, but we don't want to treat our newer users with less respect, they're not tools or cattles, despite their poor join dates and gem counts.
Why isn't this in Site Help and Suggestions? Well... I thought that was obvious.
