They're only annoying if you don't train them. If you're using dogs that don't know right from wrong to give you an idea of every other dog, you're going to be terribly wrong.

My dog doesn't do her business inside. She doesn't bite. She doesn't bother.
The time you'll hear her bark is when she feels we're in danger or she's playing around. She doesn't even bark constantly. Just barks and looks at you to see if we're seeing what she's seeing. Then she just stops and goes do whatever else she was doing. Usually sleeping.

I've seen this with other dogs as well.
Only ones that I have gotten annoyed with are those that have no one showing them what is acceptable and what is not.

I have 3 cats! well, one of them died. But 3 in total.

I have a cat named Bob, I had him since I was 3 or so and he pretty much lives in my room with me. He's a sweetie and I love him.
Dogs are really cool too though but at the moment I'm content with my cat. Though I do hate how much he sheds and the ticks and sometimes fleas he brings in the house (though that problem can be avoided for the most part with a tick/flea collar and medicine before spring).
