It all started in 1830's Isambard Kingdom Brunel launched the SS Great Western in 1837 she was the biggest ship in world (back then) she was 1,340 gross tons, later 1,700 gross tons and the 2rd ship to be Blue Riband, SS Sirius was the first ._. Brunel then launched the SS Great Britain in 1843 she was the very first oceanliner ever ! and she was 3,675 gross tons,she used a screw propeller unlike the Great Western (she uses paddle wheels) later Brunel launched the SS Great Eastern in 1856 she was 18,915 gross tons and the biggest ship (back in her day) but sadly she was a failure and Brunel died shortly after her ill-fated maiden voyage , now we're in the 1860s ! a newish company called the White Star Line, they had a fleet of Sail ships ._. , RMS Tayleur, Blue Jacket,Red Jacket, the company almost died thanks to the Sinking of the Tayleur but 1868 a guy named Tomas Ismay bought the house flag and trade name and goodwill of the bankrupt company, so now this is a new beginning for the company! in the start of the 1870s they got six ships ! RMS Oceanic (1) RMS Atlantic SS Baltic SS Republic SS Celtic SS Adriatic to be continued~
