Anybody up for an free IQ test? [CLOSED]

Take it, post results. I already tried but I couldn't really focus (thanks vidya), so I'll try again later and post mine then.

Only a screencap serves as the ultimate proof.

Also note that this test, being composed of a mere 39 questions, isn't the most accurrate one you can find and doesn't measure (for example) linguistic-, or mathematical intelligence in any way.
The person taking the test is even encouraged to try to guess if he/she doesn't know the correct answer. So take it with a hint of salt.

I might do it later, for fun. But I greatly dislike the idea of IQ tests and ratings. I don't believe intelligence could ever be measured on universal terms.

I will make it in a sec.

I once took it and got a 118. on a second one 2 months later, I got 117. So my IQ rolls around that amount.

EDIT: 107, those last ones were pretty much impossible.

O.e I took it again, This time taking the time to work through each problem. I got 133.... O.O I took a screenshot, but I have no clue how to upload it. And I would have liked it better if It were math. Math comes easy to me.

Ok, that's not bad. I guess my brain just works well in the evening.

Well, as I said, the test is pretty small-scale and thus can be inaccurate. That doesn't mean it necessarily is but I wouldn't rely on it.

I know human value cannot be measured by some test, but I personally do believe that intelligence can be tested. The quality of the test in question is an another story.
After all, I regard the human brain as simply a computer, and computer's capabilities can be tested just as well.

Guess what? I just looked it up, if this was a legit score we'd both be qualified for Mensa International.

Mine was 130. I posted a screencap on #14.

You can find some pretty good ones online, but many of them cost something to take. Not worth putting money on something like that if it turns out to be a crappy test.

I imagine the ones that actual colleges etc. use to measure the IQ of their students could be found on their websites. I've never really looked for them, actually that test I took ten minutes ago was the first one I've finished in about a decade.

It's usually enough for me to know that I'm not dumb, but sometimes I feel like seeing just how far I can go, you know?

I got 110, couldn't be bothered with the last 10 or so.

Interesting that people have put those up on the internet now. I don't really believe in IQ tests, though. I feel they are subject to a certain degree of bias and are not an accurate enough assessment of the workings of one's mind. But thanks for sharing! n.n

I know a person that have a IQ of 150 and wasnt invited to Mesa

Actually, IQ can be measured accurately only up to about 160. And it does have a limit. As fun as it sounds, you can't have "unlimited intelligence". A brain can only process so much information and we consciously only use a small presentage of out brains at any given moment.

And for probably the fourth time now, this test is small. It's in no way a "professional" IQ test. Just something I found online.

And while you may very well know someone with an IQ score of 150 (it's been estimated that about 1 out of 1000 human beings reach this score), Mensa does not actively invite people. You have to apply to a high IQ society to join.
Or did you think that they somehow register the IQ values of all the people who have ever taken an IQ test and then proceed to send an invitation to those with top scores?

Good job.

I took it again a few minutes ago and got 140 too. They say you usually get a score that is a few points lower when you take an IQ test the first time, due to exitement, possible rushing etc, but with a test that has virtually no time limit and only 39 picture puzzle questions I think it's just a matter of memorizing them all. Though that is a cognitive function in itself.

I still wouldn't trust that it's entirely accurate.

Well, as it has been pointed out a couple of times now, this IQ test is not accurate. It's composed of 39 questions, so I wouldn't start showing off with my score.

And besides, the picture you posted as proof is oddly vague for a screencap.
