I've frequently noticed how some, users are still doing edits. I do not mind edits if they have a "Credit to original artist" sign up for when using art that is not 100% theirs. But, it does get on my (and frankly a lot of others) nerves for when that sign is not up, it basically means "Yeah I made this hundred percent especially the artwork that I made" when frankly when it comes to pictures on the internet, it can easily prove you wrong. And for those who are using in game graphics should put that sign up too because the people who made the game do not like their screenshots edited without credit. Even though it's rare for copyright notice to be on gaming graphic it is still possible and can happen. Also it's not hard to take 5 seconds of your time and just type that in. It's like putting a seat belt on before you drive, take a few seconds and put it on. It can save your butt. This also tends to be in literature as well. You must credit the person who said that line, like for an example, "Imagination is more important than knowledge" ~ Albert Einstein. When you don't do it there can be some copyright infringement involved though the person may be dead, it does not give you the right to steal something from a dead person. It's like trying to rob a grave. Would you steal a dead body? Of course not, who wants a rotting corpse as a good treasure?

All I'm saying is, if you have a picture/phrase that wasn't even yours to begin with, credit the company/person who did/said that. I'm pretty sure that a lot of people will cool their jets if you do.

Before I leave you with a paragraph, There's also something I would like to discuss. You know how you get grouched at but, the grump who said that has constructive response? That's called "constructive criticism" you are gonna get both negatively and positively. If the grump said some among the lines of "dis artwerk sux 5eva" and not give an explanation to why they dislike it. That is not constructive criticism it's actually trolling/flamming. Also Constructive criticism is a rule on this forum. Don't believe me? Well take a good hard look at this //forum.darkspyro.net/spyro/rules/ or if needed to pull out the rule.

So, there you have it I leave you with this. GillGrunt this is not flamming or trolling in anyway, this is more like being informative. If you delete it over any option. It would just prove another point out that you do not read before you delete a post. And If you ban me you are technically banning me over little to no reason.

If I really want to use a photo Background in my pictures then I just use one that I took.
But most of the time I draw it...

Well photography is considered a type of art. As long you took the photos I think. Not exactly sure on that type of art.

This is delayed but if you are referring to photo manipulation than it is not plagiarism so long as the person gets permission from the original artist/photographer and gives credit. As to whether or not it's 'art', that is more of an opinion than anything and could potentially cause a long, unneeded debate.

Photography can be considered art. It does take skill to get a good shot, after all.
