I'm curious how many people plan to buy one of the next gen consoles at launch, late november I believe.

If swap force comes out before those consoles, will you wait to buy it on the next gen platform or buy SF for the system you already have?

I think I will have to wait and see if the next gem is backwards compatible.

there is to much good new games coming for the ps3 so i will wait 1-2 year before i get my ps4...

My wife and I plan on getting a PS4 on day 1. If Swap Force is available on the PS4 at launch, then I would opt for that even if the existing consoles' version of Swap Force came out earlier. So yes, I'd wait a little while, but not longer than a month or so. Then I'd just get it on PS3 and I'm sure it'd be fine.

PS4 is not backward compatible, from the reports I've read so far.

I think a month seems like the amount of extra time I will be able to wait as well.

I've heard it won't be fro the get-go, but later on some kind of special patch or something is supposed to come out that it will end up that way (sort of).

To answer the question, no. There are PS3 games I want and would like to get one of those first (I know, better late than never, right?) If I do get a next-gen console, it won't be on launch. Prices are rather high at that time, I'd rather go for a price drop like I did for my 3DS and possibly a sale on top of that. *coughlikemy3DScough*

Well the Xbox One keynote was supposed to be tonight...

Xbox One was just unvieled. I'm sitting this round out. I'm content with a 3DS and Wii, might get a Wii U someday, but none of the other next-gen consoles appeal to me (due to my location [not my wireless set-up, just to note], almost all consoles can't use Wi-Fi, so that cuts out a lot of features).

I'll probs stick to my PS3 if they move the game to PS4 as well. It has all my favourite games on it! Spyro 1,2 and 3, Skylanders, Crash Bandicoot, and LBP.

Sticking with the PS3. I don't buy new consoles at launch anymore. Be a couple of years before I consider getting a PS4.
