I'm pretty perplexed how the original character can have intriguing gameplay and upgrades and their big COMPELLING reason to re-buy a character is a not well thought out wow pow? It's a theme all to familiar in this franchise. Not. Compelling. At. All.

BTW Swap Force disappoint me, the graphics was very cool but the gameplay was simply awful with boring levels except a fews and they nerfed all old characters there's no fun to use them now and the soundtrack are awful. I hope with the return of Toys for Bob the next game will be like SA and G.

It's funny how, before SWAP Force was out, everyone was hoping the old characters to be nerfed, and now they complain about it.
The game was a little boring, after completing the Story Mode, but now that I'm playing on Nightmare, I really have to concentrate, to avoid being killed. It's really fun, try it if you haven't before!

Difficulty wise I think they struck a better balance...and reward those on harder difficulties instead of coasting on easy mode with all of the XP.

Does anybody know what is happening with the three easter characters. i preordered all three and they havent been dispatched and now saying dispatched within four to five weeks. this is amazon. fryno cant be ordered at all

Oh my god, it all makes sense now! Hot Dog's Wow Pow, and that one combo he has down Burning Bow-Wow! He just went a few notches up on the cool meter for me. I love when the developers give characters abilities like that.

Im hoping that stores will get these closer to easter, in the us easter is april 20th so there is some time to put these out. Preorders at other stores prob wont come up till closer to trigger happys easter vari release. Bestbuy jumped the gun on it thats prob why they so far only have had it.

I doubt it's a Mario Kart-esqe racing game. I think the vechicles (If we get them) will be more like Tanks, used for fighting and destroying. Perhaps racing areas could be put in?

I could understand only half the time....omg those voices are just horrible!! Who approved that??? Or are they just badly dubbed? If they are, that would at least explain the crappy job. I'm hoping Activision realizes we don't want a Kart game.....a game with a bit of karting, fine. A Karting game? NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or in the famously badly subtitled Star Wars movie "DO NOT WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT!!!!".

Just picked up Scratch and Fryno here in Abq., NM at Walmart. They had Hot Dog and Jet Vac but wasn't interested.

I know there is some gameplay footage of fryno, scratch, trap shadow, and freeze blade, but could people who owns them post more game play footage of their upgrade paths?

The cart thing would be strange, but what's even more strange, is the people here at times. What I see every year, is people dogging the new gimmick of the next game, but then as time goes on, it grows on them.

There could be a better idea than cart racing, but if it is that, and as long as they keep the normal gameplay of the past 3 games in, it could be cool.

However, if they were smart, they would have followed through this KAOS Alliance trademark, and allowed us to play as villains. We could have gotten some characters from past games in there, like KAOS, Glumshanks, KAOS' Mom, Spell Punks, Vathek, Bubba Greebs, and maybe even the Chompy or Sheep Mage, while the game would also introduce story characters on the hero side, like Flynn, Cali, Hugo, Avril, etc.

I also hope that with each game for now on, they take Swap Force in mind. I want to see new Swap Zones for each game, so to extend the value of Swaplanders. Dual elemental gates, elemental gates, and making use of the Giants are key, in my eyes.

And for the love of God, I hope TFB adopted VV's excellent graphics engine for Skylanders 4. Swap Force looks incredible on PS4/X1, and I hope Skylanders 4 looks as good if not better than Swap Force.

I like to think if they do a cart game it will be a spin off instead of the main game, it's so much of a different type of game that it might not appeal to this games target audience. As a spinoff it could work well.

Ok, I'll be honest.
What's the point of playing as villains? A lot of characters look like bad guys (Chop Chop, Hex, Night Shift, Ghost Roaster, Voodood, Slam Bam). What real difference would they make?
Also, why play as characters we have already seen, when there are still so many possibilities in creating fun, original and unique Skylanders?
Why would you want to play as Flynn or Cali? What powers would they have? Just some kicks and a few weapons? How boring. Kaos and Vathek, for example would be interesting to see as playable characters; but, again, would you really want them to replace some ipothetic new (and maybe even greater) Skylanders?

As far as the other things, I agree with you:
if they want to make another gimmick, it must be really creative, like the swapping mechanic was;
they should develop more the Swappers and the Giants, and let them be more than just normal characters;
they should retain the new graphics engine, but use it with their own style (Swap Force looks really different from the previous games, in terms of characters and environments), and also restyle the older Skylanders (the new ones are AWESOME in this new graphic, but some of the SA and Giants characters should be modified a little).

No karting game please. Karting areas? Fine. Karting focused game? NO.
Make a spin-off without new characters, if you want it to be a racing game.

Well believe whatever you from these, but I think we may see a lot sooner than we think. Someone one Ebay has finally put up Trap Shadow and Freeze Blade and look who's there on the back and on the swap wheel.

That doesn't mean anything. L-Night Shift had Rubble Rouser, Spy Rise, and Stink Bomb on the back of the box, but they didn't show up for a while.

Yeah that's why I said believe whatever you think may happen. At least it gives an idea of what may happen and am giving an idea just for some encouragement.
