Just got back from walmart....grabbed myself the S2 Sonic Boom. They had only one of her, and also had S2 Hex (Just one) I had a HARD TIME deciding which I wanted. But decided on Sonic Boom since she's the one I was intending on buying to begin with... smilie

Got my Regular Crusher in the mail today also that I got off ebay, and got my European Topps Card Binder w/ all insterts/posters etc and over 100 different cards.

I had previously bought Skylanders toys to play on my friend's S:SA and SG.. He's got about twenty figures, and I had picked up the Dragon's Peak adventure pack, Dino-Rang, S1 Drobot, S1 Whirlwind, and a Flashwing to play on his games.

Today, I picked up S2 Slam Bam, S2 Double Trouble, and Skylanders: Giants for the Wii (had to hit Target after Wal Mart. I did not want GitD Cynder). I also bought a promotional Frito-Lay multi-pak of chips for a mini. (edit - just noticed the offer expiration date D: ) This puts me at ten figures and covers each element. I'm hoping to avoid going into full-on collect mode, but I'd at least like to end up with one of each dragon.

Saw a Hot Head at Target, but I'm not a fan of the giant characters yet and for now plan on sticking with Tree Rex and finding a Thumpback eventually - whenever he does come out.

Slightly bummed that when I get Giants next month that the Spyro I'm leveling won't have the extra Wow-Pow and an alt. upgrade path, (but at least I can level him to 15 which is awesome.) I mean either way, my original intent was to play SA first to get a taste and focus on collecting the 8 guys that aren't getting remade, which I am doing, but now I feel I should have just gotten Giants and got SA at a later date. Do you fellow Portal Masters feel as if I made a bad decision? Or is there nothing wrong with what I did? I'm really loving this game, but I kind of feel as if I didn't take the best course of action. Thoughts?



What I'm doing is I bought giants cause I wanted to get a game a release date and happened to have enough money. xD So I'm buying the old triple packs off eBay as they tend to be cheaper than the giants triple packs. Also I'm buying the new 8 characters and 8 giants to have a "complete" set, the original 32 plus 8 new landers and 8 giants. I'm also asking for the S:SA Xbox bundle for Christmas ad I don't have either. So you are doing the smart thing buying the old figures first.

Plus I bought Hot Head off best buy.com with free shipping, can't wait!



Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I figured I made the right choice after seeing how hard some of these older figures are to get. It's fun to chase them down now, but it will be nice to sit back once the search is over and not have to worry about finding them since they aren't getting remakes. Especially considering in the future they will be much harder to find!

Just bought pop fizz and chill. Pop fizz is a beast on the beast path(whats the deal with the mad scientist path?) and chills ice lancer rocks! Both are awesome!

Went to Gamestop last night and picked up a nice Sprocket and LC Jet-Vac. I don't see why people hate Sprocket so much, I'd actually say she's one of the best Skylanders. I also don't see why LC Jet-Vac was the second Lightcore voted out during the Lightcore Voting Contest posted by ninja9351. I think the gun and belt buckle is actually a pretty good lightcore effect.

Got my Golden Flameslinger today! And my second Hot Head arrived earlier this week. I also got my (Off topic) Dreamcast Samba de Amigo maracas set at the same time as Flameslinger. smilie So I get to obsess over that and Skylanders this Christmas. I also bought most of the reposes this month, couldn't resist. I don't think I'll be opening my Light Cores though, the gamer in me wouldn't be able to decide an upgrade path (When I already have two Series 1 with different paths and the "Series 2 Switcher") and the collector in me likes them in their shiny boxes, hahaha.

I'm also getting a Dark Spyro off of ebay, and with that my S:SA Collection will be complete with two of each character!

So I feel like an idiot, yesterday I bought a loose Dark Spyro off of eBay. Today while going to Buy Back Games who should I see in their Used Skylanders Case

Dark Spyro for $7 (With a few other "hard to find" ones actually)

I mean, I know I couldn't have predicted finding it cheaper than eBay and such (No I didn't buy one of those ridiculous $45+ ones), and in a game trade store no less considering the price it's going for on eBay but I still feel stupid. I'll probably just put one of them up for re-sale to compensate later. orz There's a lesson to be learned here kids.

But on the bright side, my Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure collection is now complete! smilie

Just bought Prism Break for $8 and Voodood for $5.50 off EBay. Same seller so combined shipping should be around $2. Now I gotta look for a good deal on Boomer and that's a rare triple pack down off my checklist.

Dad stopped up at TRU for me and got some 3 packs for me- Pop Fizz/Whirly/Triggs and Chill/Zook/Ignitor. My LC 3 pack came today and so I now have all of the ones out....well. almost. Drobot ended up being an error.
