I am only avoiding their channel because I am going into imaginators with little info beforehand. And their gaming/vlog channels are ok but skylanderdad made a promise to be a while ago to do a lets play of a game together but it never happened.

Considering how he's being all noisy while cutscenes are going on footage only he has, generally has horrible editing only kids could enjoy and *coincidentally* stopped showing up in the forums to give info once we expressed his videos weren't for most of the forum's age... Best way is to just not give attention. His fans will grow up and his views will disappear as the audience finds something else to watch a million times. Even PewDiePie is aware of that and started making content he wants more than just pander pander pander.

I took them with a grain of salt from the start. Let them be.

From experience, the skydad, or whichever parent, doesn't seem to take criticism well about their channel content or them in general being called "overrated" to some users. They assume users to be "jealous" of them if the users expressed their dislike about them, and from the incident with the skydad sending his fanbase after an Instagram admin, it partly justified my dislike for them.

Even the older children of their household seem to be growing out of Skylanders, while the parents are the only ones still hyper about it.

But honestly, the dad's unneeded jokes and commentary is terribly cringey to me. And the kids seem to not show the same ethusiasm on the series like they used to.

We got lucky at the game's first few events when Skydad was recording with Lou(one of the producers) and had to stay put during cutscenes and character editing, but the luck has ran out.

Dunno, my recommendations are pretty clean for someone who watches Skylanders regularly. It's usually the non-cringy coverage like FamilyGamerTV.
However, that also means the same guys that spoil the games on the thumbanail e_e Views or no views, that's just low.

There are Cortex gameplay already posted by other users that, thankfully, doesn't have skydad commentary.

im on the fence about this game because of crash and cortex but i havent played one in a long time and im not sure ill enjoy it

All fanbases have a cringey side, so it wouldn't make much of a difference.

Every franchise gets super cringy once it reaches the kids at this point. Before that it's mostly muted, MLP was a special case.

Oh yeah, and on the figures, you can probably find the game's starter packs for super cheap by next year, they go on sale really often if not end up common at the used section. Even if you want to play on Crash's level there's no hurry, except for the figures themselves since scalpers will wipe the shelves clean and the separate Adventure Pack is at the end of November.

The dad just acts immature, and from my past conversation with him, or the mother (I don't know), he believed he was in the right for sending his children fanbase after the instagram admin over a mistake. As in making a public video about it to say "#boowalter" instead of keeping the issue privately.

look dude, every single fanbase has a gross cringey side. every single one. im into doctor who and pretty much never mention it. why? because the fans suck and are annoying.

same goes for MLP and FNAF. the only reason these in particular are so chastised is because of their stigma. the stereotype is that all MLP fans want to **** cartoon horses and all FNAF fans are either little kids who want to be edgy, or are adults who want to **** killer robots. im sure most everyone here knows you arent part of that stereotype, but its really easy to make fun of them because of how widespread and relevant they are.

The dad is an attention seeker, won't hesitate to send his watchers after someone, can be annoying and cringey in his videos. And apparently he doesn't take opinions/criticism about his channel very well (according to past experience).

Funny how I found the videos of this channel really cringe-worthy even when I was a kid...

I was cringe too anyway.

But yeah, I don't know much of these guys besides the basics. I just generally like to stay away from his videos and don't watch then at all, even if I end up without some footage.

No. Never give people fuel to badmouth the haters. If they really felt like getting back at us it only takes twisting our words in a future video that we're just jealous or hate younger people.

Even if we try to tell them not to make their videos cringey, it won't work. They're gonna do what most of their fans want, and most want cringey videos for some reason

Not that way. The way kids think adults hate kids. That anyone over 18(or heck even 15) develops an intense hate for fun and happiness and when they're not working and taking their attention from important things like buying the kid **** they dedicate their lives to end fun.

I used to love their videos when I was younger. These days they're just really cringey. A lot of people on this site are making Skydad out to be some big villain though, when he's not. He's just a cringey YouTuber who makes videos targeted at young kids.

Exactly. There's a few YouTubers that give out Skylander info that I watch but really can't stand because their voice is really annoying but I don't go on about how they should be shut down and everything. Dark35 is the only one here encouraging users, and himself, to send hate to the skyfamily, but we're not planning going along with his scheme here. I mean, I have enough sense to know that forcing your dislike upon someone isn't going to change anything but make you the bad guy if you are the one doing it.

All I know is that we're allowed to express our opinions. If the skydad, or his household, can't take criticism, that's their issue. They have their way of having fun, even if most of us find their content cringeworthy.
