I don't watch anime often and really only watch it out of boredom like every 1/3 - 1/2 of a year when I also have nothing else to do, though anime I liked include:

I don't really watch any anime, and I rarely complete an anime. The only ones I've completed (many years ago, btw) are Puella Magi Madoka Magica (because it's short, though I haven't seen the movies because I don't care much for MM anymore), Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt (which was pretty cool), and Soul Eater.

I haven't watched an anime in a while, but I was watching Jigoku Shoujo (aka Hell Girl) which I actually really love and need to complete sometime. I was also watching Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, which is also pretty good and I need to complete it as well. Hell, I might as well start both of them over, it's been a few years since I've stopped watching them. Oh, and I was watching Inuyasha on Netflix last year, which was interesting so I need to finish that too.

I tried to watch the Death Note anime and Ouran Koukou Host Club, but I dropped them. The former didn't interest me much (I read the whole manga, anyway) and the latter is just... eh.

I want to watch Akira, Deadman Wonderland, Elfen Lied (maybe), Tiger & Bunny, Umineko, Black Butler, and Hellsing sometime. Don't know when it'll happen though.

But yeah, all in all I tend to enjoy dark, gory anime with supernatural characters and anime with unique storylines and interesting, round characters. I think part of the reason I don't watch much anime is because I find it really irritating when an anime focuses too much on fanservice and lets that get in the way of its story too much. I mean, even Soul Eater was borderline too much for me. A little pointless fanservice is fine, just not so much that it's frequently the primary focus for no other reason but for the sake of fanservice, you know? If it impacts the story in some way then cool, I don't mind that. It's just if it hijacks the story too much when the story really has nothing to do with that. I don't know, I'm probably going to get crap for that, so that's why I'm rambling.
