Cool, thanks for posting that, Zap. I was curious about that path, but I choose the bottom path, and I'm glad I did. It makes tossing squids more helpful, and the 3 whales have a wide path of knocking enemies back.

Now that I have all the senseis I want though (sorry no Tidepool...doesn't do anything for me), I'm hoping to start my new game on hardest difficulty and do a sensei only run. should make Kaos real hard without my tech imaginator (turret is OP).

Blastertron gets much better once upgraded. His hologram bubble thing and the missiles work very well together, so well that his sword probably won't be your primary attack method.

Just got cursed tiki temple and so far it's my favourite level from imaginators after Kaos show down.
It's so fun and you get so much money from that level quickly.it's so diffrent and fun it's definitely one of my top favourites from the entire series !!!

My issue with him currently is it takes too long to get the hologram thing/bubble out, by the time the animation is done, I could have swung my sword twice.

Yeah it takes a while, but it can suck a lot of enemies in and hold them in there. Then just shoot a missile tether into it and attack another group of enemies. He works really well for crowd control and is currently one of my favorites to use for arena battles!

So I got Blaster Tron and Tidepool yesterday. Normally it takes about a month for me to upgrade a character (I like taking my time) but in the 2 days I've had Blaster Tron he is now level 16 and only has 2 upgrades left.

I LOVE Blaster Tron. Aside from my already large love of the character he is just such a fun character to play as and I find myself using the hologram field and the rockets more than his sword. He does not dissapoint.

takes me 90-120 minutes to fully upgrade a Sensei, other than Cortex (still having a hard time getting his Soul Gem because my hands cramp up. don't use him, prefer Golden Queen and Mysticat as Sorcerors). sometimes it takes less time to reach level 20 than fully upgrade a Sensei. For an Imaginator, I can fully upgrade one before reaching level 20. few minutes to level one to 6.

The first thing I do when creating an Imaginator is activate the ambush near the well and the dummies on the MAP. Most of the time it gets me to level 6 but sometimes I have to do another one.

I haven't bothered maxing any skylander out. I have maxed some out,, but that's mostly because of use (like Drobot, all my Prism Breaks, Flameslinger, eye Brawl, both Bowsers, Fist bump Kaboom, the ninja crab from TT, etc.). I typically unlock all the powers using some game breaking mechanic. I don't think I've maxed any sensei this time around, but the sensei's I've wanted the most (Pain-Yatta, Blastron) just came out, and the others (Starcast, Hoodcickle, Bad Juju, Chompy Mage) were underwhelming.

I still need candy Pain-yatta variant in my life.

I'm really efficient at maxing out skylanders from TT and older. When I got Thunderbolt recently, I played through the Future of Skylands level, the last arena, and the hardest Kaos Doom Challenge. The I put him away because he was completely maxed out. This same basic process happened with most of my other skylanders.

I have all of them from the first 5 games done, but it's going to be a nightmare trying to get all 100ish of my Imaginators to the max level cap.

so far i have all imaginite parts (aside from the LIM sets and blaster/robow's unlocks), and three starred all the main story levels. just need to get 3 stars on the sensei realms, TWI, GPO, and EEF.

What I did is I found a youtube video on it, then followed it for 5 seconds, did mine for 5 seconds, paused, watched video again, etc. Worked like a charm.
Oh, and use a Giant. Definitely use a Giant.

So I recently tried going into arena battles on expert and nightmare to get some XP for my older, lower leveled Skylanders (mostly around levels 10-12). The problem is that they hardly get any XP from it and they can barely survive long enough. It takes at least ten minutes to finish round one using Punk Shock. Are there any other efficient ways to level up older Skylanders in this game?

Arena is probably still the best. Go to another save slot and do it on hard instead of nightmare mode.

What Gia said. Blaster- Tron was overshadowed by all the excitement over Tidepool. (I think I said that before.) He is awesome! I already have him fully upgraded, level 19. Tidepool, too. Last thing I did was purchase her soul gem today before I had to quit. Can't wait to try it.

I still have a bunch from Spyro's Adventures that need heroic challenges and level ups. No Sky 7? No problem, I got plenty to keep me busy.

Do the chests you get from the games goals have parts locked to those goals? One of the goals is doing racing stuff and I don't feel like doing that.

I always forget there is a racing portion to this game. I ignore it like I do most of Superchargers. Did they change the controls for it, or is it still that fake-relative non-sense?

I wonder how painful a SSA figures only run would be in this game. I'd most likely stick to like 5 or so people the whole time - Dinorang, Double Trouble, Drobot, Hex, and Lightning rod. I'd be too nervous that Flameslinger, Camo, and Boomer would be too low on the dmg scale to keep up - same with Zook. I got elites for some of them though like Zook. Still want a red camo...wonder what eBay has those for...mmm open one for like $62 from UK, not too bad...

I'd also add Spellslamzer, the various lore details and a couple levels, but that's about it.
The final battle was also good.

The one against Kaos, not the anticlimatic race towards Spitfire's evilized grandfather.

well, fellow Portal Masters, I found a little secret technique to get your Imaginators to level 6 without spending all that time in the Arena, but your Imaginator has to be level 1 for it to work
first, you go to Kaos' s lair via Dragon wings. when you land, grab the barrel bomb and go to the cave under the big cannon. just walk of the ledge where the cannon is and you're at your destination.
once the bomb explodes, opening the cave, go all the way where the two piles of gold is at. once your character's there, touch the gold and the experience ball will activate, then watch as your Imagintors go up to level 4. then finish getting to level 6 by doing several surprise attacks and/or Life Realm to get money for upgrades, then you can get whatever Ultimate items you want for levels or the Arena

Hard question...Both are quite good TBH ,but if I had to choose I would go with tidepool because she's a lot quicker than blastertron and I prefer fast characters.

Watch a couple vids of both on Youtube and pick which one you like more. For me, Tidepool did nothing, no interesting play elements, and while she could have the surprise "Pulse Shock" strength hidden somewhere, the allure wasn't enough to part with my tight money. Blaster-tron I'd been waiting on almost as much as Pain-Yatta so that was an automatic without video.

I still can't get over how they handled knights and quickshots were. Both classes only had one each at launch and had to wait til like the end of the game just to get the other knights and only other quickshot. I do hope they make a new quickshot and bazooker to balance out those classes.

That's how I felt about light...Aurora wS easily the most underwhelming and least interesting sensei in terms of looks (play wise I tip my hat to Chompy Mage...sigh). We FINALLY got to do the light area this past weekend thanks to Blastertron (wasn't going to waste money).

The assets don't match for that first pic though. It feels like a special area in the MAP like the Undead Realm/Mausoleum of Madness where everything looks slightly different, but it still has the sunflowers and screwy terrain.

I could see the dark picture being Lost Imaginite Mines, but the other one I have no idea since the gate covers the area behind it.

I think these pictures are from LIM. The one with Cynder in it would fit the theme, with rocks and a sort of run-down look. The second picture is very similar to the 1st story level (Cradle of Creation), which is also associated with imaginite and mind magic and stuff. Plus, you can see floating rocks with crystals on them. Both images have a mabu NPC, and we already know from the update that LIM will have a mabu NPC.

The first one gives me a positive SuperChargers' vibe, and I'm pretty convinced it's actually the beginning of Lost Imaginite Mines.
Look at the shape of the gate structure, particularly the fences, and then look at the hologram in the M.A.P.; pretty fortunate that I noticed the fences right about yesterday or I wouldn't have made the connection.

The second one is probably of the mines themselves, judging by all the crystals around (also, took me a while to notice the Imaginator at the center of the image); am I the only one seeing some galleon or pirate ship in the background...?
Really like the atmosphere of both areas, will be interesting to see how they could connect them.

More like "good patience": I spent roughly 5 minutes trying to make something out of those starry blobs at the side of the tower hologram, but at least it payed off.

Anyway, who knows, the second image might still be a part of the Q4 Adventure Pack but it definitely looks a lot like a crystal mine.
Wonder if they'll put all the four kinds of Imaginite in it, only seeing the Epic one in that image unless those vases are mad out of Common crystals.
Already picturing crystal golems as the enemies.
