Clefairy was originally intended to be Ash's main Pokémon, INSTEAD OF PIKACHU!!!!

But they decided to go with Pikachu so that both genders could enjoy it more, as Clefairy is more of a girl Pokémon

There is no Poison-type Legendary Pokemon.

Arceus-Poison doesn't count.

Well X and Y took 3.5 years to develop, which basically started in early 2011, before SSB U/3DS began development.
