The Incredibles 2 sounds interesting. Never expected to hear about a second one around this time. Do look forward to it.
I haven't seen Cars 2, so I don't know if I would forward to Cars 3. Not really feeling it.

I'm excited about The Incredibles 2.

we needed the incredibles to have a sequel. its about time.

Cars 3 will take place 2 years following the events of Cars 2. Lightning McQueen will be invited to take part in the Piston Cup yet again and earn a shot at winning after failing to do so in the first film (spoiler alert: he failed to win in the first film). Going to the Piston Cup with him is his crew chief, consisting of Mater, Sally, Luigi, Ramone, Sarge, and a Fillmore who can't speak. They're determined to win the cup once and for all over rival Chick Hicks. Lightning and his ragtag crew have made it to the finals and the race will be under way in 2 weeks.

Meanwhile, Lightning's resident fangirls Mia and Tia are hoping to attend the finals but can't find any tickets. They think of hilarious hijinks to find their way in, leading them to strange places including the big city, a farm, and the beach, with car puns in between it all. While at the beach, however, they learn about something that could very well change the lives of everybody involved. It turns out that pirates who regularly sail the seas and do pirate stuff are planning to find and duplicate the recorded tapes of the Piston Cup finals, copy them, and distribute them to everyone who is unfortunate enough to not be able to pay for it on pay-per-view, or cannot see it at all. They claim themselves as a modern day Robin Hood (get it, hood? because cars), and convince Mia and Tia that what they're doing isn't a crime and that they aren't stealing anything, just making new copies.

Initially, Mia and Tia agree and go on pirate adventures with them on their pirate ship as they prepare for the plan and do other pirate things in the process involving car puns. They run into other pirates, they dress like pirates, and act like pirates. But on their journey they meet an old face named Mpaan, who speaks the the twins in private and tell them his story. He was once a successful owner of a racing organization called the Radical International Automobile Association (or RIAA, for short). The organization put on great shows for everyone in their own league and he was able to live comfortably. But then pirates began distributing the RIAA's work for free without permission, and the league soon folded, leaving Mpaan poor and homeless. Mia and Tia have a change of heart and it becomes a race against time to make it to the finals before the other pirates can.

Through more hilarious shenanigans and car puns the dynamic duo manage to make it to the recording/media booth/box and warn them of what the pirates will do, and they all prepare for their arrival. Meanwhile Lightning is behind Chicks in the race as it reaches its final 15 laps. After an intense fight full of slapstick and more god forsaken car puns they ward the pirates off and they get arrested by Sheriff who is apparently in this movie now. They get to watch the last lap of the race where Lightning takes a last minute lead and wins the Piston Cup.

The film ends with the twins meeting up with Lightning and the gang and talking about all the stuff that they've done during the buildup to the cup. We see the pirates getting put into a big police van car character, and the lesson to learn here is that piracy is not a victimless crime and that it's better to support the organization/people by not stealing.

The film will open up to widespread critical acclaim with a 105% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and a perfect 100 score on Metacritic, only the second film in history to achieve that score (the first being The Godfather). It will be nominated for 18 Academy Awards, losing only one to that one Tim Burton movie where the art direction is crazy and gothic and a chick-magnet to girls who regularly shop at Hot Topic. Cars 3 will be the first animated film to ever win Best Picture at the Oscars and it will be remembered as not only one of the best films of its time, but one of the standing achievements of human art and creativity.

Well, the one Pixar movie I always wanted a sequel for was the Incredibles. I don't care if they take their sweet time with it and release it next decade. As long as it's fun to watch. @.@

Cars 3 is just an obvious cash grab by Disney, since Cars is the most lucrative Pixar franchise in terms of merchandise sales by 3 country miles. <.<

And yet I promised to watch Cars 2 just for young child memories, and it's still on my to do list. u.u;

The Incredibles 2 does sound promising though, might as well watch the original once again.

Incredibles was awesome. I'm glad they actually did a REAL sequel (the crappy game "sequel" was a terrible idea).

Meh, Cars, I'll pass.

I just hope that they don't bring the Underminer into it. He seemed like a lame villain.

From an artistic standpoint, you're probably right. I just find it the most entertaining. XP

Incredibles may not have been as heartwarming as other Pixar films, but it made up for it's slightly more intelligent humour compared to other Pixar films, awesome action sequences, and for having a decently constructed backstory and lore.

It also had a few shock factor moments, like when Syndrome nearly chokes Mirage to death, and when his men tried to shoot that plane out of the sky, knowing children were on board. In general, I feel like it was the most "different" of their movies, and definitely the most daring, considering how it did have some dark themes for a family film, let alone a Pixar one.

That was all said though, IIRC, not actually shown.

And the likes of Mirage and the (at the time) defenseless Incredibles kids were innocents. At least killing the heroes was out of them being legit opposition.

I still haven't seen Cars 2. Cars was okay, but definitely not my favorite, so I might check out Cars 3.
As for The Incredibles 2, I'm hyped and can't wait to learn more about it.

Incredibles 2 has to happen merely because of the backstory and amount of superheroes there are, and how many there could be that haven't been discovered yet. That is what turned Incredibles from a great solo movie into a potential franchise. If it weren't for its history and backstory, this wouldn't have a reason to exist.
