Not the kind of steroids that make people jacked. The kind of steroids that make the chicken grow quickly and ready for slaughter sooner.

Those steroids still have an effect on the human body. I remember reading something about children who ate at McDonalds more than...twice a month would hit puberty sooner.

I could be thinking of something else, though.

I don't think they injected the chickens with testosterone and/or estrogen.

You shouldn't believe everything you read.

I don't know, dude. Down here, there have been lots of girls "developing" and guys growing facial hair as early as elementary school. That wasn't happening that often about 10 years ago. And down here, everyone eats fast food at least once a week.

years more back and puberty was typically hit at around 16-17
it's a combination of humans generally getting healthier, our population size, and what's in food, what's in plastics, canned foods and so forth

McDs may play a part but I feel like the same kind of hormones are put in other food items as well, including store brought chicken that isn't labeled organic.

YOU CAN'T ESCAPE THE JACKED CHICKEN.

Because obviously nobody would notice the difference between rat meat and chicken meat.

I have never seen a kid with facial hair!
And girl's 'developing' as you call it is linked to obesity.

People are going in to puberty earlier than before because of health and the environment we live in. As everything we need is provided for us our bodies can afford to mature earlier so we can reproduce for long. Not that people have more children now than what they used to.
