What is that? Quote: MoonHorizons
Everyone has a butt. If you saw it everyday you would be used to it and not scared.

Exactly. We all have butts. So, I don't see why they have to be censored.
The other parts though, I see why.

They are not censored on some kids cartoons. They only show male butts on them and not female though.

I just spent somewhere between 5 and 15 minutes typing and deleting several different answers but I frankly don't have one this time around other than this: Sciety seems to consistantly imply that the female body is something sexual and practically sacred, in which a woman's butt cannot be seen in a children's cartoon as it would be considered controversial and too sexual for children's eyes. A guy showing his butt or even being nude in a cartoon or even normal TV show is often played for laughs or is seen as nothing more. A woman wearing revealing clothing, little clothing, or no clothing has had a history of being played up as something sexual rather than funny, even in adult cartoons.
Where, when, or why this started is beyond me, though in the form of TV and cartoons I'd say it started in the 50s in the US, where a lot of these policies came to be in the interest of providing family friendly entertainment for everybody when TV was first coming to be. (I'm speaking strictly in the sense of the US. I'm aware how other nations are more liberal and less shy about this.) |

What CAV said pretty much, male butts are usually seen as funny, female butts are seen as sexual. :S

For some reason, it's true that males are considered funny and females sexual.
I guess that's really because no one bothers to put a funny naked scene in cartoons about girls, only sexual which generally isn't allowed. Kinda inappropriate, but this is something that bothers me.
