So, I have this problem when I draw humans or humanaoids, and that's that if I draw the body first, I can't seem to fit a face on the head most the time. I usually have to draw the face first in order to get proportions right or looking right, but I just can't seem to do it the other way (body and head first), so when I'm using shapes to draw this causes a great disadvantage. I can't really get a good handle on adding faces (eyes and stuff) after I've drawn the body....

Any tips or tricks?

I normally just start with the head just go on from there. Did you try making a circle not far from the neck or body and having a little cross on it? Kind of like this?
