Yes, wreckingballbob. I didn't know it was such a shock that girls (and other people who wear makeup) don't wear makeup just so boys could run after them, and actually might be doing it for themselves. If you seriously believe in such things, you are very sexist and very judgemental. I know I don't wear makeup, but I have no intentions to get boys running after me. ****, I'm bisexual and I don't want girls trying to come onto me all the time either.
I wasn't judging the whole world. And I've met all these girls. They say whatever's on their mind. And I'm not assuming anything. I'm just saying that the girls in my school only wear it to attract attention. I don't recall saying that about the rest of the world.
Your post seemed to be implying that you thought all girls were like that. Sorry.
I think I finally understand! It is because people are not happy with themselves! Thank you all for finally making me understand why people wear makeup!

I have friends who have bad acne. They feel really ugly if they don't have foundation on because of it. They need it for confidence in themselves. Their confidence is low that they can't leave the house without it. Looking good for boys is just one of the many reasons.
I only do mascara, eyeliner and a bit of cover up for things like if I have a spot.
I will leave the house without it. I will go to school without it. It all depends on if I wake up and look in the mirror after a bit and think either, "I look terrible", "I look ok", or "I look good". This determines how much I wear.
Plus if I have the time.
Often is makeup, the way someone dresses and so forth an extension and expression of themselves, not everyone solely does it for others or to conform to their surroundings. However, many people are pressured to not, or to do, (or in a certain way only) wear makeup due to how quickly others will judge and try to place their own beliefs on others as if they should control what other people appear as--as if people are entitled to how someone looks.
Of course, there are times when makeup and clothes are downright disrespectful, but these are not cases where it's disrespectful to the person, these instances are when things are disrespectful to the marginalized.
I respect opinions as long as people aren't jerks about them.
