That my "jokes" are not half-baked attempts at edgy trolling, but rather me shedding a bit of light on past experiences and struggles that I'm getting over by having a laugh about?


Obviously I have a different way of coping than you might expect. But I'm not going to change it just because it "offends" someone. If it does, I apologize, but just know that I don't have the intention of hurting anyone. And if you're still offended at that point, I don't know what to say.

I never thought of them as attempts, really.

Keep the joke to yourself, maybe. That way you can make the joke, and other people who suffered suicidal tendencies and find such jokes offensive, don't have to see it.

If you live expecting to simply hide away anything that offends you, and people to stop doing something just because it offends you, you are going to have a hard, terrible life.

Besides, why should I keep to myself when I could release it, and quite possibly encourage someone else to take the same path and heal themselves, too?

2. Are you even listening? I have been depressed and suicidal before. I have experienced all this pain before. I joke about it because it helps to cope. Most people may get offended, but there IS the slightest chance that SOMEONE might see it and follow suit, therefore healing themselves just as I have. I hold no ill will toward anyone.

I never said you never experienced suicidal tendencies. Just that while your 'joke' may help some, it may also further harm others.

Slight chance to help, slight to harm? Yeaaah.

History would be completely different. There would never have been slaves=no need for the Emancipation Proclamation. Plus laws would be unneeded, so no Hammurabi's Code.
