I want to but my parents say no.

Most of the people around where I live claim to be homeless when they ask for money at the intersections but they awkwardly shove their 6 pack of beer under their camo jackets so they are obviously lying

I donate to the homeless veterans. There are many here where I live. I never per say donate money, but myself and others do collect clothes, blankets, socks,... things that are needed for them. Now that winter weather has arrived we'll be collecting boots and coats for them. It is a great feeling to help the homeless vets. ^.^

Oh! I was just discussing this the other day.

If you want to give your money out to those who need it, but also don't want to be scammed or contribute to something you deem destructive, ask them exactly what they would buy with the money, and buy it for them.

There are a few in my town and I usually give them a few bucks when I see them. It's sad seeing them in the winter time laying on a bench freezing

My family donate many of our old things to Goodwill, so I guess possibly so in a indirect way.

No, but only because when we happen to drive by them I have no money to give that's mine to give, and when I DO have money I mostly just order stuff off the Internet...
(That's not to say that I wouldn't if given the chance, though. Now if we happened to drive by them too quickly, that's different....)

If the are homeless, it is usually there fault and I'm not going to give up what I earned to some hobo on the street who spends his days screaming at people to cough up their cash.

there' not really any homeless people here so i can't really, though i would give them some money if i saw one of them on a rare occasion where i go to the city, i mean, life's a ***** i can understand why they'd use it on alchohol and cigarettes or whatever
