Who are we to take life away from another?
Even if they had taken someone else's life, what gives us the right to do the same to them? Doesn't that make us just as bad?

My point is that God (or whatever divine and/or natural forces are at work) should be the only one(s) to bring death upon another human being.

A life sentence would be more appropriate, at least in my opinion, as I believe the death sentence to be quite barbaric, even if the guilty themselves are barbaric.
Though I do suppose under certain circumstances it could be appropriate, but I still do not approve of it.

Okay, so if you look closely at what he is doing you can see just before he used the lighter that he wasn't looking at his wife, meaning he most likely wasn't trying to set his wife on fire on purpose. Would also like to note that in the video title it says accidentally.
However, I believe he broke a law by using the lighter in the first place so I don't think he should be killed, or put in jail for a life time, though he should be put in jail for a few years.

i agree with you but in a different way. some times it's for the best to kill some one. for example, if we left osama bin laden alive, terrorist will kill more and take hostages to get him back... all that really matters is dose the end justify the means :/

and yes we are a barbaric species. we have only just started living in citys, and mutually working with one another. we are slowly moving away from our barbaric past, but it will take many many thousands of years.... so in the mean time, just get used to it :/
