Yes, there is always a catch somewhere, isn't there? Look, even though I'm a christian, I will still have my own opinions. You guys seem to think that christians only go by the Bible and are strict about everything that is against God. No, I'm not like that. I am allowed to have my own thoughts. God doesn't occupy my mind 24/7. And to be honest, I've never even read the entire Bible. So I know it may seem hypocritical of me to say that being bisexual or gay is against the Bible (even though I never did actually say that), but that's what I was always taught. And even if I wasn't taught that, it would still be my opinion. It's just how I feel on the matter.

What I meant was, I'm against cheaters too. It's possible for anyone to cheat, whether you are bisexual, straight... whatever. I know it seems irrelevant to this whole topic, but I just wanted to go ahead and make myself clear on that. I'm not saying that anyone on here supports cheating or polygamy... I just wanted to be clear on that issue.

imo polygamy really isn't bad, though it's definitely not something i would get involved with myself. it's completely different from cheating and it's not going to affect anyone else's lives soooo uhhh yeah let people do what they want to

For me, i would say i learned I was gay around 11 or 12. I never liked girls, then again, there wernt many in my school in belgium (litterally 33 kids in total from K to 6th). There was this one boy i liked, but it was mostly because of how he looked. It's funny, because i never even knew what a gay person was. Even though i don't understand how they feel exactly, it doesn't mean i don't support them. I do. I think of it more as, are you (excusee for the crap im using to prove my point. Goddamn team this and that ****) Team Peeta, or Team Gale. I would say like, straight people liking peeta, gay people liking Gale. Then the bis liking both....which I think i just messed it up because i like both Peeta and Gale...so...ya, im just going to stop writing now

I believe there's a difference between a healthy poly-relationship, and an unhealthy one. One is are not polygamous if you cannot have a healthy relationship with multiple people at once.

Lol, I actually do too! I've been wondering why everyone seems to be talking about same-sex marriage but no one brought this up. If this was legal, it wouldn't only make love more free, but families could make more money and be able to feed their starving children.

Anyway, I'm in no way against bisexuals because then I'd be against myself. I actually have rather severe homophobiaphobia. I don't want love to be put in chains...

One of the main reasons why polygamous marriage/polygamy is against the law in Canada is that it "goes against traditional Canadian values". I read some of the actual documents about it...that is their reason against it, basically, 'traditional values'. That does not hold water in a rapidly developing world anymore, now does it? Of course, polygamous marriage is "illegal" in most places, but not relationships....as far as I know, but there is negative social response to having multiple-people in relationships, which makes it almost as bad as being illegal, or worse for some.

Actual, intelligent debate against poly-relationships and marriage becoming legal would be that there would be a smaller selection in mates for our species...however, actually polygamous-capable people are more common than most think, but are also still rather rare, comparable to the supposed and predicted rarity of asexuality. I'm sure there's more intelligent points against it, but I cannot think of any at the moment.

There's also, of course, and have been examples, of using the word "polygamous" when someone is in a relationship with multiple people and it is destructive, and so media has shed of a more biased negative light on "polygamy", comparably to the negative light on "anarchist" and other things. We do not tend to hear the REAL positives of polygamy in modern media alongside the REAL possible negatives, as having multiple people in a relationship really does open a whole new can of worms.

The majority of humans, supposedly, are only capable of monogamy, but it could also be possible that much of society's focus on "two people" relationship have made it forced on many people who would otherwise lead healthy polygamous lives with people if there wasn't such negativity.

And guess what? They said "traditional values," and many keep saying, about not allowing same-sex marriages. Funny.

Human sexuality, and identity in general, is such a complex thing. I love it, and love to embrace it's complexities, and learn from it.
