I stayed up all night yesterday trying to find a Shiny Wartortle in X and Y, and am still going to tonight because I need one :c

Er, if I had a Ditto or someone from the same egg group as Blastoise, I could try that one method with the different Pokemon from like, Japan or something like that. My Blastoise is a female.

I don't think the Masuta method is necessary in this game considering the probability of finding shinies has been greatly reduced.

I used Masuda to get my Gastly. It still helps.

I think I'll try it again and aim for a full set of Shiny Eeveeloutions.

Congrats! I'm probably going to do that as well. I'm all set, just need my SS Female Gengar, as I already bred some Japanese Eevee.

BTW, how long did it take? I know some people get lucky.
