As much as I'd like him, 750 gems is still a small fortune! not sure. If he never comes back, then it'd be nice to complete my collection before swap force arrives, but, one skylander, so what. Still on the fence. If you had the gems would you?

Nope, I have the gems and the only two I am missing are Cupid and Hoppity. But they are simply not worth it....maybe I will break down and buy a Dragon lair as a way to splurge on something

I agree that the alter egos are not worth 750 gems. It appears they can be spun for. I will hopefully get a spin before the end of the weekend but I have 12 other skylanders I could spin for so I'm not counting on winning the one alter ego I don't have.

When they appeared to be available for spins in the past I got down to one ledgendary and an alter ego. I used a spin, won the ledgendary and had no more available spins. Unless they've changed this, you won't be able to spin coins for them. I've only gotten alter egos through the well.

Yes, but that might just be the games coded "preferences", like the fact that you can't spin for any legendary, special or giants until you've spun for all regular characters. Maybe you can only spin for the alter ego if the alter ego is all that's left? Anybody in that situation?

It shows Hoppy as an available Skylander for me. He's the only alter I don't have, but there are eight others in line in front of him, so I don't think there's any chance I'll be able to spin for him to find out if he's really available.

I have only two alter egos left and they are NOT available via Skylander spin. They are shown as "available" but the spin button is locked.

Edit: Never mind the question I asked before editing this. I was thinking of something else entirely!

Like sungren150 said, I only need hoppity and it says available but the spin button is locked. Alter egos have never been available via spins, only gem purchase or through the well.

Well I have about 2k in gems.....very tempting to buy these last two but 1500 gems. I guess I should because I'll never know when they'll be available again

Yes this^ is what happened to me before.

because they are only available to buy via gems, no money can buy them!
