Yeah, it isn't gold - it's bronze, very similar to the Amazon exclusive Flameslinger from last year. I was surprised the base was painted bronze, but I like it.

I was starting to get worried so I called customer service. They confirmed my figure shipped on Nov. 21. So they are still sending them out! I won very late in the game.

Received mine yesterday! It is now hanging up on my wall of variants! (Gnarly Tree Rex, P-Fright Rider, Polar Whirlwind, Jade Flashwing)

I know you're a bit excited about getting your Fright Rider figures, but I'd take those pictures down if I were you since your mailing address is showing plain as day in the picture. Just looking out for your privacy.

I was never even able to find the chip bags for these... Not fair. I hate promotions like this.

I found em like 2 weeks before promo ends and wound up 0 for 2.

I was told that my PFR was mailed on the 14th and here it is 11 days later and still no PFR.
I guess I will be calling them in the morning.

Is there anyone else that was told that it was shipped on the 14th and still waiting? If so where are you located?

Still haven't received mine yet .... sits and waits. However as Dinoah mentioned i was told it shipped.

I am in SoCal. Both of mine shipped the 14th. Still no sign of them. CSR indicated to 'wait 30 days' for it to arrive. Since I didn't pay for it (outside the cost of the chips), I can wait another couple weeks.

BEAUUUUUTIFUL!!!

I had my son open the box and since it was opened with the cardboard back facing upward, he saw a picture of Jet-Vac and didn't know what to think. When he pulled it out of the box and saw what it really was, his eyes almost fell out of his head. Like opening an early Christmas present, but I got the praise and not St. Nick.

For the record, I never saw a bag in the store, we never got them in my area. I sent in for a game code and won.

I have been reading these forums for a long time, but just created an account recently to say this. I am in Athens GA and had been looking for these bags since it was announced. I never could find them anywhere. Until Black Friday. Over 10 days after the promotion ended I go into ToysRus and see they have 3 FULL CASES of the fright rider bags. I was furious and actually had a chat with the Manager, telling her that she needed to pull those bags until later, since the promotion was expired, and if she didn't then I was sure there would be LOTS of angry customers later once they found out that special figure was no longer available. Still trying to track one down for my girlfriend and still trying to win one of the Rattle Shakes. This stuff was so much easier when I still had friends who worked for Frito Lays.

So, for anyone in my area who couldn't find the bags, it was because TRU had them in the back holding them for Black Friday. Grrr.

Well, that may be sorta true, but I do not shop at TRU for chips. My TRU was the only store I saw these at (with only one week left in the promo). They never showed up at Walmart, Target, or any of my local grocery stores where I looked for them. I agree with what you said to the manager, mind you. Bags should have been pulled after the promo ended.

Received my fourth and final Fright Rider in the mail. I am done. However, still working on the Rattle Shake offer. Won 2 so far.

Well just got around to putting Halloween fright rider on the portal after starting over because of losing some accolades but when i put him on there he register in the collection as a blue base, but has a orange base because he is in giants. I guess since he came out during swap force the chip is reading blue base instead of orange base.

I ended up sending in for them a week into the promo when My Frito friend told me that they did not expect any new promo until 4-5 weeks later. Turns out the promo he was talking about turned out to be GITD RS. He was able to hook me up with GITD RS.

First off, you need to read...
I said he was not able to hook me up with PFR because we never got them in our county. Secondly, he did hook me up with GITD RS, He text me to tell me that he just delivered them to our local Food Co. Went there that same day and picked up the bag and won.

Just because they cant participate does not mean he cant tell me or get me a bag that was hard to find.

This isn't fair fright rider is one my son's favorite characters I am sad to not find a single bag ever since it was first seen by users here I was checking every store around my area and nothing Ma and Nh. You guys are very lucky to win not just one but more. Great thing there are Rattle Shake bags here but I have yet to win after 6 bags. I hope future promos are not this hard to find and win.

you only need 1 code from the rattleshake bag no need to buy 6 bags. the bag codes are reusable

I didn't bother with this one because I didn't see any sense in it. The pictures they had on the bag looked silly (I didn't care for the bright orange) and it wasn't an in-game variant. I definitely didn't want to pay $6 or more for the bags just for a "chance to win". That seems like a gamble to me. I thought about sending off for codes, but it was late in the game before I paid any attention to it. At that point, I had decided I would rather wait and send off for codes for RattleShake. But now that I've seen the pictures, I think it looks a lot cooler than they promoted it. It looks more bronze than the orange I thought it was supposed to be. Not really a "pumpkin" Fright Rider, but a bronze one. It's still not an in-game variant, so I'm not that worried about it, though. But I do wish I had, at least, tried for it.

Similar to what Ronin385 said in post #732, a TRU in the Kansas City metro area didn't put out their 3 cases of Fright Rider bags until Black Friday. They were still out as of last Sunday with only 1 or 2 bags out of the top case which was stacked on top of the other 2 still sealed cases. I mentioned to the TRU worker in the video games section (which is where the cases of chips were) that the promo ended before they put the bags out, and he said "Oh well" and shrugged his shoulders.

There really is nothing that TRU can do about the bags. They won't pull them unless the date is expired on the chips themselves. Things like this happen all the time at stores. It's just that TRU isn't a huge seller of chips, so they stuck around. And it does seem weird that they mostly appeared after the promo, which tells me either they got them late or they sat on them not knowing what to do with them. I figure they probably got them as part of their Swap Force display. I want to say that's when ours got them. Maybe a little after.
