You can usually get away with it as long as you dress up as a character from G.I. Joe, Star Wars or other things like that.

Well if a teenager or young adult comes dressed up as michael myers or leatherface then it's not okay because someone might think they are really going to hurt someone. If they are with kids then that's a different story.

YOU DON'T CAPITALIZE THE I'M. ITS ONLY WHEN THE I IS STAND ALONE. F- FOR YOU.

Eitherway, you can still do almost exactly the same as trick-or-treating except without the trick-or-treat.

Yeah, you can be. You'll understand when you're older.

However, that doesn't mean you can ever be too old to celebrate Halloween. You can still dress-up and party with friends or dress up to pass out the candy. Or cover the house in Halloween decorations to make it the most frightening house on the block.

My mom tried to get me to stop trick-or-treating when I was around twelve. Didn't work.

She tried when I was thirteen. Didn't work.

And then when I was fourteen. Didn't work.

After that she just gave up and I've been doing it ever since. Though my parents are telling me this is my last year since I'm turning 18. We'll see how that goes...

I guess my point here is...uh...everyone's different??

Chances are extremely high that the 50 year old man would try to kidnap you. You can trick-or-treat for a bit but not until you're over the age of 18. The only way you could dress up as a character than is by cosplaying.
