Radiant energy vs save for giants/alt houses [CLOSED]

I only have 2 giants houses. I have 7 radiant fields.

Giant houses can be used energy-free. Energy fields cost gold to harvest just let you send skylanders on adventures or put them in sanctuaries. I think Giant houses are therefore the better value. But I'm also a fan of balance. I have purchased a few radiant fields with gems when they were on sale.
