I am new to the game. During this weekend special, I threw stones in the well and won the grand prize. Can I not win any of the alter egos now? My meter is blank and it does nothing when I wish but give me energy. Thanks for your answers.

The meter only applies to the grand prize. You can still throw stones and win the top prizes.

This is true, but the odds of winning the really juicy top prizes (giant houses, alter egos and shrines) are very, very small. Some people seem to have incredible luck with this but others (like me) have almost none. I think the best thing you can do with stones is save them for next month's grand prize alter ego. Once you have at least 200 for that purpose, do what you want. Maybe your luck will be better than mine. I continue to save stones in order to buy halls of legends, which are a guaranteed thing for 200 stones. On average, I win zero alter egos, shrines and houses per 200 stones so for me the halls of legends are the better bet.

Your mileage may vary. There are either some incredibly lucky people on this board, or I am in the incredibly unlucky group...

I agree with your assessment Midas. This is the first well event at which I threw all my stones. Previously, I threw until I got the grand prize, and on occasion won a decent top prize in the process - hot head house and two fisheries. I've been saving for a while with cherry and maxed out halls (well I stopped at 10, but it appears the game will let you buy more), so there's nothing left to spend stones on except chance the top prizes. And strangely enough, this is the first well event that I had to max out the luck meter to get the alt.

I'm already looking forward to next month and hoping they bring back more houses so I can start picking up the ones I've missed.

They've *always* been rare for me!

One of my guys one Autum Stump Smash in about 45 stones. The other has dumped in over 200 and still hasn't won the grand prize and has only gotten too coins once and a tavern once...

My Son got Hoppity Pop Fiz in 2 or 3 stones! I was pretty amazed! I got Grill Master in about 15 stones! So I pumped my stones into halls now. Although I have 9 now, it'd be nice to have something else to buy with stones, maybe I'll just pump them into the well after I have the alter ego. Although fisheries are nice, 8 is enough. I guess eventually I'll get more shrines and giant houses if I throw enough down the well.
