Kinder Eggs are apparently banned in the US.

There are two reasons why these delicious treats are illegal in the U.S. One reason is the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) claims that the toys are a choking hazard for small children. All of the toys are relatively small, and some contain even tinier pieces that need to be put together. Kinder Eggs have a warning on the package, in several languages, that they are only suitable for ages three and up, which should be enough to un-ban them.

Aside from children potentially choking on the toys, the real reason Kinder Eggs are banned is the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act of 1938. This Act prohibits the embedding of non-food items completely enclosed inside food items, unless the non-edible part has a functioning value. For example a lollipop or popsicle stick is not edible but is a useful handle. This Act was originally put into place to prevent the addition of hazardous items to processed food and has never been changed.

tl;dr Just do it you lazy *****.

That is the stupidest thing I've heard e_o

Oh I think I remember those, or something like it. When I was a lot younger I got these hollow balls of chocolate, and they had candies and stickers and stuff inside them. I can't remember what they were called, but I always got them at Walmart.

Kinder Surprise. They're these chocolate eggs (Even though it's not Easter o__e) that have really low quality toys inside them :I

Ah, yes. I had them all the time when I was really little, and then all the sudden they vanished. Now I know why. smilie

America's "replacement" for Kinder Eggs was Wonder Balls. They were chocolate balls filled with fruit candies shaped like Cartoon Network characters (Ed, Edd n' Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, etc.). They were really good, but you don't see them much anymore for some reason.

In my country there used to be "Spicy Sausage" flavored Lays. (There's no official name for it)
I used to love them, but they dissapeared 8 months later, and I'm still wondering why.

I remember these things. The Easter I got them, I had no clue why they had the toys in them.

I remember that they had really low quality Spongebob figures in them.

They aren't banned because people are worried about kids choking on the eggs; they are banned because people are worried about the kids choking on the toys inside the eggs.

I know. But how can they choke on them the plastic eggs are protecting them?

i thought this was going to be about how eggs from the US are banned in other countries or how 80% of prepackaged foods in the US are also banned in other countries

Because 3 year olds can swallow the small parts inside the egg and choke on them.

Even so, the "main" reason it was removed was apparently because it was "useless".

I remember those! My aunt would get me them because when she lived in Canada they were everywhere I guess. Anyways the chocolate wasn't great but still fun though to see the toy inside.
