and considering all my excitement for this movie, i just have to share a few of my thoughts; I am shocked.

This movie managed to live up to all my excitement. All of it. it took what made the first movie good; supporting cast and writing; and made it better this time. it has much more humor that a Percy Jackson book would have, and manages to keep better staying true to its book than the first movie (like that was hard to accomplish), even if it isn't spot on. Even with this, I still felt that the cgi was kind of bland in the movie; I've definitely seen better and worse. in the end, my main problem is its plothole of not exactly explaining how Luke survived (unless I missed something). there were a few other errors in the movie, and I do have some nitpicks, but I won't mention them since it's nitpicking.

Overall, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters manages to live up to my excitement and expectations, and surprisingly turned out to be one of my favorite movies of the year, possibly even all time, shockingly. I wouldn't say it's the best, even for this year (I think The Great Gatsby deserves that), but it definitely is my 2nd favorite movie of the year. If you liked the first movie, you'll like this movie. if you didn't, this may or may not change your mind, depending on your preferences in a film.

In my opinion, 9/10- Amazing.

My friend was more upset that some stuff was different. *shrugs* i didn't watch it, and i never will.

I saw it today as well, I thought it was awesome. But I didn't like that they made Tyson so smart. O my gosh, Nathan Fillion as Hermes, awesome.

so me thinking Jurassic park, harry potter, the hunger games, james bond, all the Pixar films(except the cars movies), how to train your dragon, Rio, batman, spider man, the wizard of oz, the lion king, and iron man are great films means I have no taste in movies? if that isn't good taste I have no clue what is.
