I think bisexual is more that they are attracted to both genders but pansexual is more they don't care what gender it is and they are more attracted to who the person is and not how they look or what gender they are.
That might not make sense or be right be that's always what I got from it.



If you're bisexual, it means that you don't care of the gender either, because you like both.....

There's huge debates about "pan" and "bi" all the time. By definition, "bi" means "two" and not everyone identifies as either male-or-female, and thus people prefer using "pan", which means "all" or "everything", if they are also attracted to non-binary genders and identities (ex. people who identify as "third gender"). "Pan" can also mean "neutral towards gender" (like me, I'm also neutral/apathetic in my own identity, "call me whatever pronouns you want" kind of situation) and can also mean "attracted to personalities". In summary, "pan" can be mean a load of things, and "bi" is mostly seen as more specific.

In actuality, whatever word you use to call you sexuality doesn't really matter, now does it? People all feel different about their own sexuality and what it means to them, and I think people should rather respect that than try to say someone's "wrong". People who prefer any or "all" genders identify as "bi" all the time as well.

Bisexuals are attracted two sexes and doesn't have to be equal to either sex, as it states. Pansexuals are completely gender blind and are attracted to someone regardless of gender. This means they are open to like transexuals and such. It's attraction to the person and not their body parts.



Then it's not "sexual".

The term "sexual" relates to physical attraction. You can't use "sexual" to describe any kind of emotional, spiritual, or mental attraction. Therefore, if shorty's definition of pansexuality is correct, then it's not really a sexual orientation.


@shorty: Well, yes, you can. But still, if the sexual desire is brought on by emotional attraction, then it still can't scientifically be considered a sexual orientation. Because any other sexuality can feel that way as well, and thus pansexuality can't be defined that way.
