All day I have not been able to connect to Activate or send or receive gifts. I am sending this from my iPad so it is not my connection. Anybody else having this problem.

It is back now.

I constantly have issues getting into activate, both before and after the update

I have problems too.

But simply reseting the app fixes it everytime.
